The New York Knicks are at home and after a masterful five-game performance, Trae Young took a bow at the center of Madison Square Garden.

The bow came after the Madison Square Garden faithful gave a standing ovation to their Knicks, accepting their defeat. As the fans stood and applaud, Young pulled a 30 foot three pointer to silence them.

“I know where we are. I know it’s a bunch of shows around this city,” Young said to ESPN the Hawks’ 103-89 victory. “And I know what they do when the show is over.”

Young added, “Like I said since the beginning of the season, I feel like I’ve worked my whole life for this moment, to play in the playoffs on the biggest stage. I put in a lot of work. A lot of the guys who have been here have done the same. It feels good to win it. It feels good to win the series. Now, we get to focus on the second round.”

The Atlanta Hawks will now move on to face Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Waka Flocka Drags NFL for not Selecting an Atlanta Artist for 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Maroon 5 is set to perform at the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show, but every person is not feeling the NFL’s decision of entertainment. Considering the big game is happening in Atlanta, Waka Flocka thought it will be fit to have an Atlanta artist like Migos, Future, or himself to represent.

Talking with TMZ on Wednesday (Sept. 19), Waka said it wasn’t reasonable for the association to pick an artist that doesn’t hail from the Georgia city. “I think the Super Bowl, you should have somebody that’s from Atlanta, representing Atlanta… They need somebody from Atlanta, it’s only right,” he said. “It’s not fair, but this the NFL we talkin’ about—they’re not fair.”

Waka likewise pointed at the NFL’s issues with Colin Kaepernick and said the group could have made a greater effort to support him. “You’re coming to the biggest Black state in America,” the rapper continued. “Why wouldn’t you let a Black artist perform and show the world that we’re progressing? That’s not cool.”

While Migos and Future undoubtedly won’t be at the show, another report from Billboard suggests that Cardi B and Travis Scott could be joining Maroon 5 in Atlanta. Cardi has worked with the group for their hit single, “Girls Like You.”

Despite the fact that it’s only talk, a rep for the band declined to remark on the report, while the NFL expressed, “It’s a Super Bowl convention to conjecture about the entertainers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are proceeding to work with Pepsi on our plans yet don’t have any declarations to make on what will be another epic show.”

A year ago, Cardi shot down the idea of playing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, saying she wouldn’t perform until Kaepernick got a deal. “When they hire Colin Kaepernick back,” she said to TMZ.
