Odd Holiday Create Mini Movie Track With “It Is Whut Is Iz”

Odd Holiday’s new single, “It Is Whut It Iz,” is an incredible balancing act, as it narrowly steps into the worlds of straight-up dope hip-hop and left-field experimentalism without an ounce of pretension. The North Carolina-meets-North London duo has created a mini-movie with this track, which flirts with psychedelia thanks to producer Daylight Robbery’s trippy samples and breakbeats. The production then bursts open to embrace Mattic’s immediately engaging rhymes, which include slick references to Franco Harris, shots fired at the 1%, and head-spinning wordplay. “It IS Whut It Iz” is available now through all major DSPs, with the duo’s new album L.I.S.A., due out May 26 via Chinese Man Records. Be sure to check out the album’s other singles, “Omen Key” and “Boarded Up Portals.”

Joe Budden Claps Back at Cam’ron After “Crackhead” Diss on Instagram

Joe Budden Reacts to Logic’s “It Was a Good Day” Cover

Cam’ron hit Instagram this week and sparked up his previous beef with Joe Budden. Sharing an older podcast clip from The Joe Budden podcast, Cam seemed to take offense to the show’s guest, N.O.R.E., calling out rappers who are making sports shows and other forms of media content. As of late, Cam and Ma$e have found a new level of popularity for their sports show.

Sharing the clip online, Cam had a message for N.O.R.E. and the JBP host who he referred to as “Hoe Buddons.”

G Herbo Drops New ‘Strictly 4 My Fans 2’ Mixtape

unnamed 4 1

G Herbo is back, dropping off his new mmixtape Strictly 4 My Fans 2.

GloRilla and Chicago newcomers Mello Buckzz and Drench provide guest verses to the 12 song drop. Strictly 4 My Fans 2‘s production features work from a number of longtime collaborators, including Southside, DJ Victoriouz, Oz On The Track, Luca Vialli, and more. Its soundtrack is reminiscent of the grimy, skittering drill rhythms that Lil Herb used to rap over.

The debut of Lil Herb’s first mixtape, Strictly 4 My Fans, in November 2016 when G Herbo was only 21 years old, was a turning point in his career. When Strictly 4 My Fans was made available across all platforms, Herb started the process of going from being a local block celebrity to a major music artist.

The intensity heard in the lyrics on Strictly 4 My Fans 2 on tracks like “Off Days,” “Fuck Opps,” and “Watch Me Ball Pt 2” pay homage to the hunger felt seven years ago. You can hear the new project below.

[WATCH] Vic Mensa Delivers New “$wish” Video with Chance the Rapper and G-Eazy

VIC MENSA WISH ft. G Eazy Chance The Rapper Official Music Video 0 12 screenshot

The music video for Vic Mensa’s most recent track, “$wish,” with Chance the Rapper and G-Eazy, is now available. Vic and his partners highlight their success and wealth throughout the city in the new video, which perfectly portrays the braggadocious high energy of the song.

The new video gives the already-explosive song a boost in energy by featuring a group of attractive female companions, skipping alongside a race car that once belonged to the late drift racer Jake Rio, conducting business on his Harley-Davidson, and showing off a boisterous side of Vic and his rapping skills.

“$WISH came from a writing camp me & Chance did in LA working on a bunch of music together,” states Vic, “it was really just a fun, spontaneous vibe. Me & Bongo were freestyling and then Chance said he had a line so I just recorded him putting his verse together. G-Eazy is one of my best friends in the industry and someone I’ve known for probably 12 years, so it just all made sense.”

The song is the follow-up to “Strawberry Louis Vuitton (feat. Thundercat and Maeta),” which was released in January. It is a deep love ballad that was followed by an incredible music video in which Mensa played the song while skydiving in a replica Virgil Abloh suit.

You can see the video below.
