Kendrick Lamar is making chart history.

The Compton rapper’s album good kid, m.A.A.d city has spent 400 weeks on the Billboard 200, becoming the longest-charting hip-hop studio album ever, according to Chart Data.

The only hip-hop album to remain on the chart for longer is Eminem’s 2005 greatest hits project Curtain Call: The Hits.

Released in October 2012, Kendrick’s major-label debut was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and earned him four Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. It spawned hits including “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “Poetic Justice,” and “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe.”

It’s been three years since Kendrick’s last album, 2017’s DAMN., but the wait for new music may soon be over. “Stay patient king Kendrick will return soon,” TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith teased last month.

The Pulitzer Prize winner was set to headline Glastonbury this year before the festival was canceled due to the coronavirus. He also remains focused on family life. He and his fiancée, Whitney Alford, welcomed a daughter last July.

Snoh Aalegra has new music on the way.

The R&B songstress is set to release her new single “Dying 4 Your Love” on Friday, July 10. Taking to social media, she announced the release date and revealed the sexy cover art, which finds her naked under blue lights. The CD case carries a parental advisory sticker that reads, “Sad girl lyrics.”

This marks the first solo release from Snoh since her critically-acclaimed album – Ugh, those feels again in August 2019, which spawned the breakout hit “I Want You Around.” She was set to embark on a sold-out North American tour this spring, which was canceled due to the pandemic.

Snoh’s star continues to rise. She recently signed with Roc Nation to help expand her career and collaborated with dvsn on “Between Us” off the duo’s album A Muse in Her Feelings.

Yo Gotti is looking a lot slimmer these days.

Taking to Instagram, a shirtless Gotti showed off his newly-chiseled physique while working out in his driveway. In his caption, the Memphis rapper revealed that he lost 40 pounds. “40lbs down 40M’s Up,” he wrote.

His transformation didn’t come overnight. Gotti has been putting in work to get in shape, documenting his intense exercise regimen, which includes boxing on his yacht. “Do the work, the results will do itself,” he captioned one pic, while adding the hashtag #NoDaysOff.

While his weight may be down, his bank account is up a whopping $40 million. The CMG boss recently celebrated his 39th birthday by buying himself $1 million in cars including a Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, and Lamborghini, all custom painted Tiffany Blue.

“Motivation !!! Get in position to where you can bless yourself !” he told his followers.

In January, Gotti released his album Untrapped, which debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. He has also been an advocate for racial equality and social justice, encouraging fans to demand change by voting.

“It starts with voting for your public officials. I think it starts there and after there, educating yourself,” Gotti told CNN. “Together, we have to keep pushing for justice. I see a lot of companies donating money or putting out statements, they need to do more than that. Be more committed to the movement. They need to hire more Black people and don’t just give your money and make your statement, be apart of the process and the moment.”

Khia is at it again.

After putting Trina on blast, the “My Neck, My Back” hitmaker is taking aim at Lil Wayne over controversial comments he made about racism, police brutality, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

In a video which surfaced on social media, Judge Khia dragged the Young Money boss. “Let’s be real. Le Crusty has never been for the people,” she said. “See that heroin done went to your head. Bitch, kill yourself ’cause again you been out of order.”

She also attacked Wayne’s 21-year-old daughter, Reginae, during her scathing rant. “We bet you would think of more to do if Résumé little stocky ass had a knee on her neck,” said Khia. “If she had one, I bet you would be ready to fight then, E.T., wouldn’t you? Or maybe not? ‘Cause you ain’t never loved any Black bitches that you fu**ed with. You didn’t even love your mammy, your gritty, gritty grandmammy…”

She even brought up Reginae’s relationship with YFN Lucci, who was eight years her senior when they were dating. “You ain’t do shit about that either, so we ain’t expecting you to do shit for us,” she said while accusing Weezy of being a junkie. “Maybe you would do a little bit more if it was lean being poured out and heroin and crack cocaine being wasted in the streets instead of our blood… Poor junkie, can’t see past the heroin and cocaine dust.”

Khia continued her epic drag: “F*k ni**a, fu**k you. We the people say you are 99 dreads short of being a man and 99 brain cells short of freeing anybody that’s oppressed.”

Wayne has come under fire for his contentious remarks about the murders of innocent Black men and women at the hands of police, which were seen as sympathetic to law enforcement.

“I think when we see these situations, I think we also have to understand that we have to get very specific,” said Wayne while speaking with Fat Joe on Instagram Live. “We have to get so specific and what I mean by that, we have to stop viewing it from such a broad view, meaning we have to stop placing the blame on the whole force and the whole everybody of a certain race or everybody with a badge.”

During his Young Money Radio show, Weezy clarified his stance by sharing his own experience as a child who was saved by a white police officer after he accidentally shot himself. “You have to understand the way I view police, period. I was saved by a white cop,” he said.

Khia has remained outspoken. Last month, she delivered a nearly five-minute tirade against Trina after the Miami rapper turned down her Verzuz challenge.
