Working Wednesday. It’s a day to put in work, work, work SOHH why not get things going with Lil Wayne showing up for Drake? Speaking of big things, how about the late Stan Lee having one final superhero in the works? With fictional things on your mind, did an adult company go too hard with a Red Dead Redemption II parody? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.
1. Wayne’s World
Lil Wayne has become the rap game’s hottest artist all over again. Weezy F. Baby made sure to pull through in a big way last night to perform at Drake’s latest tour stop. Lil Wayne HQ’s IG has the content:
Is Lil Wayne still a true G.O.A.T. contender? Do these two need to stop playing and drop a joint album? Is Weezy the best rapper alive? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
2. Dirt Man
Is Stan Lee’s legacy going to end with Dirt Man? Turns out the late Marvel Comics co-creator had one last superhero creation in the works. His daughter J.C. Lee spilled the beans and promised to make Dirt Man come alive. TMZ is on it:
J.C. was on Tuesday’s “TMZ Live” to talk about her father’s legacy, and revealed they have a new hero named Dirt Man in the works. J.C. created the character, but she says Stan worked with her on developing him … right up until his last weekend. As for what Dirt Man’s powers are, or his origin story — J.C. would only say “it’s very interesting.” However, she did tell us whether you’ll see him in comics or on the big screen. (TMZ)
Are you here for Dirt Man? Could this be an epic hero? Who would you see playing Dirt Man on the big screen? #SOHHWhatchaThink?
This past weekend Lil Wayne was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live so it shouldn’t have surprised anyone that SNL would drop a spoof music video in which Weezy, Future, and “Booty Kings” Kenan Thompson and Chris Redd praised women shaking their rumps. What no one expected was that the song was basically a sensitivity training video about how to properly treat women in the club and life in general.
Titled “Permission” the comedic rap video features Lil Wayne and company getting lit in a club with female company while Booty Kings spit lines like, “Shake that booty (if you wanna!)/Drop that booty (it’s your choice!)/We would love to touch your booty (but we will respect your voice!).”
Future and Wayne also chimed in with their respectful rhymes with Weezy talking about “Love that booty tender/never get aggressive/that booty got insurance/that booty got progressive.” Even when it’s comical rap Lil Wayne gotta be clever with it.
Check out SNL’s Lil Wayne and Future featured video below and enjoy some good clean rap.
Lil Wayne will star as the musical guest for Saturday Night Live‘s 5th episode of Season 44. The multi-Grammy Award winning rapper is the third Hip-Hop act to perform on SNL’s newest season. S44 kicked off with Kanye West, followed by Travis Scott.
After releasing the long-awaited Carter V, Weezy is back and better than ever. The album debut at number one on Billboard charts. The Swiss Beatz assisted “Uproar” has peaked at number 7 on the Hot 100 charts. He is no stranger to the SNL stage. He will star alongside Kate McKinnon and host, Liev Schreiber. During the new promos, Lil Wayne does his best Schreiber imprecation, shares an inside joke with McKinnon and demands a Mamma Mia sketch. Who knew the “Uproar” artist was into jukebox romantic comedies. After all these years, there is still more to learn about the once claimed, “best rapper alive.” Catch the promo video below and be sure to catch Weezy on SNL this Saturday.
Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is going to have the full spotlight on him in just over 24 hours. The hip-hop star has appeared in a few sketches promoting his first return to “Saturday Night Live” in 8 years.
Weezy F. Baby went to Instagram to promote his appearance alongside “Ray Donovan” actor Liev Schreiber.
Earlier this week, Lil Wayne filed official documents to have a countersuit from Birdman dismissed, this after the Cash Money Records boss claimed the Young Money Records honcho of stealing Drake‘s royalties. In short, Wayne’s Aspire Music Group believes that Cash Money is trying to stall already established contract details in place.
Back in 2017, Aspire Music Group, co-founded by Lil Wayne’s manager, Cortez Bryant, sued Cash Money Records and Universal Music accusing them of holding out on royalties owed from Drake’s music. Lil Wayne and Bryant are both principals of Aspire Music.
Aspire said they discovered Drake and claimed to have a deal in place entitling them to 1/3 share of the net profits from Drake’s first six albums, along with a share of the copyrights. The other 2/3 was split between Wayne’s Young Money and Cash Money.
Earlier this year, Birdman’s Cash Money Records counter-sued Bryant’s Aspire Music Group, accusing Bryant and Lil Wayne of conspiring with a lawyer named Ronald Sweeney to allegedly gain a larger share of Drake’s profits.
The outlet adds that Cash Money viewed Aspire as a “shell company” and was established only to pull money into the pockets of Wayne, Bryant, and the lawyer.
Aspire contends that this countersuit only came after Lil Wayne and Birdman settled their legal differences earlier this year. Their side also states that it wouldn’t make sense for them to siphon money in this fashion and would be harmful to their business.

There is definitely more life after Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne has been confirmed as a musical performer for Saturday Night Live.
Weezy will hit the 30 Rockefeller stage on November 10. This makes him the third Hip-Hop artist, after Kanye West and Travis Scott, to do a live set on the 44th season of the iconic variety show. Liev Schreiber, of Ray Donavan fame, will also make his hosting debut. An official announcement was made on SNL’s twitter account earlier this week.
This marks the first time since 2010 that Weezy has performed on the show. The previous set, where he performed “6 Foot 7 Foot,” was shortly after he was freed after serving time in prison for gun possession. Expect TuneChi to perform songs from his long-delayed but finally released Tha Carter V.
The album debuted number one on the Billboard 200 charts with 480,000 album equivalent sales. At the close of October it has sold over 700,000 units to date.
Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne is soaking in his Boston Red Sox’s World Series win. The hip-hop star has reacted to the BoSox defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers last night (October 28) in a 4-1 series win.
