eBay WEO sneaker grid

eBay is opening is teaming with The Wear ‘Em Out Store in Los Angeles that rewards sneakerheads for actually wearing their new kicks out of the store. eBay is recognized for its unequaled selection of new and pre-owned sneakers. The Wear ‘Em Out Store, which will be open Memorial Day weekend on Fairfax Avenue, will offer up to 70% off today’s market price on some of the most unique and coveted sneaker models, with lower rates for shoppers who physically wear their purchases out the door.

“Most people can identify with that feeling of getting a new pair of shoes that you love so much, you just HAVE to wear them out of the store,” said Garry Thaniel, GM of Sneakers at eBay. “The Wear ‘Em Out Store celebrates a love of sneakers, while acknowledging that sneakerheads are often balancing what they wear with what they keep in the box. eBay is the place to find every style and every price, and now we’re offering an incentive to lace up the most coveted sneakers of the summer.”

According to a recent eBay survey of 1,000+ sneakerheads, the majority of respondents stated they only wear about half of their collections. The Wear ‘Em Out Store was created to inspire sneakerheads to live in the moment and wear their favorite shoes on their feet this summer.

Offset, an award-winning international musician, businessman, and fashion icon known for wearing some of the most coveted kicks from his extensive and exclusive collection, was enlisted by eBay to help curate the Wear ‘Em Out Store’s offering, using his years of sneaker collecting to determine what collectible kicks enthusiasts would most want to un-deadstock.

“eBay is my go-to place to find the kicks you can’t find anywhere else,” said rapper Offset. “For sneaker collectors like me who lay awake at night trying to decide if you’re going to wear your new kicks, eBay’s Wear ‘Em Out Store makes light of something that haunts the entire sneaker community and gives people a new way to access the shoes they want for summer.”

eBay will provide visitors an exclusive glimpse of the Wear ‘Em Out Store at Sneaker Con Anaheim this weekend, including several of the designs that will be presented on Fairfax, such as the Jordan 1 Retro High OG Patent Bred or the Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner. The store will stock a selection of the season’s most-wanted fashions, as well as new releases that would ordinarily be available exclusively at deadstock pricing.

DJ Clark Kent is proving once again why he should have his face on the Mount Rushmore of sneaker influencers. Brooklyn’s favorite has curated a new release out of mattress materials.

As spotted on Hypebeast the legendary music man has collaborated with Serta, a brand known for providing consumers with comfortable sleep. The BK native created a sneaker called the iC1 featuring the unique iComfort by Serta UltraCold System™ technology. This release is made with the same technology found in an iComfort by Serta mattress, including carbon fiber, engineered to absorb excess heat and channel it away. The shoe also includes Max Cold Fabric which is made from high-performance fibers for an instant cool-to-the-touch sensation.

Clark detailed his enthusiasm regarding the project in a formal statement. “When I was approached by Serta, I was humbled and honored but also very intrigued. It’s not often a mattress company wants to create a shoe, but I was up for the challenge,” he explained. “When creating the shoe, I used all premium materials including croc, lizard and ostrich embossed leather mixed with the Serta mattress components and cooling foam. Before this project, I had never thought to put mattress material in a shoe, but it makes sense to bring the comfort and cooling of the iComfort by Serta mattress to the sneaker community.”

“The iComfort by Serta line was created based on in-depth consumer research that found staying cool is the most important feature when it comes to purchasing a mattress,” said Onney Crawley, Vice President of Marketing at Serta. “We are excited to bring consumers our iComfort by Serta technology in a new and unique way through this limited-edition sneaker designed by DJ Clark Kent. The iC1 is the first wearable mattress for your feet.”

The iC1 sneaker is unisex and will retail for $99. The shoes will be available for pre-order online starting December 4, 2019 and will be sold at Urban Necessities retail locations in New York City and Las Vegas starting December 10, 2019. Sneaker Pimps: Kanye’s ‘Yandi’ Album Might Be Hidden Inside YEEZY Kicks [Photos]

adidas Yeezy Boost 700

Either the internets’ are stepping up their troll game, or God is blessing all the hypebeasts. It seems Kanye West‘s newest effort is being delivered via his new shoe release.

Last month, Ye’ and his high-profile family set up shop at a lemonade stand to hawk the pricey feet pieces. High Snobiety is reporting that one lucky YEEZY enthusiast found something extra inside of his Boost 700 V2’s. According to Sneaker Freaker a 15-year-old by the name of Braxtyn cut into his pair in the spirit of the popular viral craze “what’s inside”. What he found was a Yandhi branded USB stick which he claims hold West’s yet to be released LP of the same name.

He detailed the finding saying “BOOST is like butter, so I knew tings [sic] weren’t gucci when the blade stopped. “I pull it out and it’s this USB and I’m like, damn, you know, it’s not even Thunderbolt. What am I meant to do with this?” When haters claimed it was photoshopped he posted a picture of the track listing.

When asked how does it sound he added “It’s not quite “Sicko Mode” level’, but “Pusha [T] has dope fish scale bars”. Right. Based on his findings Rick Rubin, Taylor Swift, Beck and Kim Kardashian all make cameos on the project. He has yet to upload the album for public consumption but as per his Instagram page he “will trade for Pharrell’s Chanel NMDs and glowgate 750s. DMs open”.

So far, Braxtyn is the only one to come forward as a winner. While this all sounds like a great album launch tactic let’s not forget this was discovered on April 1 AKA April Fool’s Day. Additionally, Kanye nor adidas has yet to confirm if this is all true. So until someone else comes forward or the album is leaked this whole story gets the side eye.
