Supreme To Open A New Store in Milan On May 6

Nike x Supreme 2021

Source: Supreme / Supreme

The rumors were true. Ubiquitous streetwear brand Supreme is opening a new brick and mortar store in Milan, Italy in May.

Per NSS magazine, the purveyors of the box logo will be opening up shop on May 6. The store’s address is Corso Garibaldi 20, and the building reportedly unveiled a huge Supreme logo as part of the reveal.

The recent Supreme social media posts tagged in Milan were surely a dead giveaway, too.

Supreme has plenty of ties to Italy, good and bad. The luxury Air Max 95’s the brand dropped in late 2019 sported Italian leather. However, also in 2019, there was a brand called SUPREME Italia finessing and selling blatantly knock-off gear throughout Europe, and flourishing.

But the legal battle with Supreme and Supreme Italia is over, so now hypebeasts will get to cue up locally for the latest dropped, socially distanced, of course.

Supreme was acquired by the VF Corporation in late 2020 for a cool $2.1 billion. Supreme Milan will be the brands 13th physical store.

Supreme Taps Tracy Morgan As Spoonie Luv For Valentine’s Day PSA

Supreme Spoonie Luv

Source: Supreme / Supreme

If you’re a fan of Comedy Central show Crank Yankers, you’re no doubt familiar with the character Spooniec Luv, who is voiced by comedian Tracy Morgan. The smooth-talking playboy is the perfect fit as he hosts a 2-minute clip for streetwear destination Supreme on this Valentine’s Day.

Spoonie Luv from Up Above is holding court at the Supreme store in Los Angeles as he runs down numerous examples of what love is. While dipped in a black box logo hoodie, Spoonie relays how everything from buying the crackhead outside the chicken spot a 2-piece with coleslaw and using your girlfriend’s birthday as the pin for your EBT card is all “love.”

Safe bet that Supreme will be dropping a look at their new collection for Spring/Summer 2021 sooner than later.

For now, peep the musing of Spoonie Luv in the Love Reigns Supreme, 2021 spot below.  Tracy Morgan better have all the Supreme heat this season—it would be only right.

Supreme Takes Out Full Page Ad In ‘New York Times’, Stay Home

Supreme New York Times ad

Source: Supreme / Supreme

Supreme has been cooking for years off hypebeasts waiting in line to cop their latest drops. However, the streetwear brand took a full page out in this weekend’s New York Times urging y’all to stay home.

A post shared by Supreme (@supremenewyork) on

The full-page ad appeared in Sunday, April 5’s “SundayStyles” section and shows a couple of dudes lounging on a sofa in front of a massive box logo tee. And we really mean massive since the tee looks like it’s a good 10 feet high. In the upper left corner is a simple message—”Stay home.”

What’s good with dude’s feet all on the couch, though? Who raised y’all?

Anyway, the ad has only fueled more speculation that Supreme will be dropping a tee to aid relief workers in the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic. You may feel a way about said tee inevitably being flipped for profit, but so long as the initial proceeds go to a good cause, it is what it is.

In the middle of March, Supreme closed its stateside stores due to the coronavirus. What’s good with that huge tee on the wall, though?

Hype Driving: A Supreme® X Automobili Lamborghini Collection Is Here [Photos]

Supreme X Automobili Lamborghini Collection

Source: Supreme® / Supreme®

Even though retail is shut down right now one of the biggest clothing brands in the world is still in the fast lane when it comes to collaborations. A Supreme®X Automobili Lamborghini collection has been unveiled.

The world’s most beloved street wear brand is now joining forces with a automobile manufacturer known for their approach to luxury motoring. Born in 1916 in northeast Italy, Lamborghini established a highly successful tractor factory after serving as a mechanic in World War II. By 1960, he’d helmed several other businesses. Lamborghini then turned his attention towards a long-held interest: luxury sports cars.

In 1966, Automobili Lamborghini introduced the Miura, which featured a rear mid-engine and rear wheel drive. Its influential design and construction set a standard for high-performance sports cars globally and established the company’s dynamic legacy. The Miura’s name, and the company’s emblem, was inspired by Ferruccio Lamborghini’s interest in Spanish bullfighting. Many iconic models that have followed the Miura over nearly 60 years – including the Diablo, Murciélago, Aventador, Huracán and Urus – allude to bullfighting history.

Supreme has worked with Automobili Lamborghini on a new collection for Spring 2020. The drop consists of a Hooded Work Jacket, S/S Shirt, Hockey Jersey, Coverall, T-Shirt, Skateboard and Beanie. Each piece is co-branded with the iconic bull logo with Supreme copy placed subtly throughout.

SUPREME Dropping Graffiti Collection Inspired By Writer Rammellzee [Photos]

Rammellzee X SUPREME Collection

Source: SUPREME / Supreme

While the world is holding on to all their coins SUPREME is making that discipline harder for hypebeasts. The clothing giant is releasing a new graffiti inspired collection.

The New York brand based brand has announced a new drop in conjunction with world renowned artist Rammellzee. The Far Rockaway, Queens native began writing graffiti on the A train during the 1970’s, and developed a spiky lettering that became his signature. This thorny wildstyle was a radical expression of Rammellzee’s Gothic Futurist philosophy – an ethos rooted in the 14th century, when monks were banned from writing in an ornate script that bishops deemed unreadable and dangerous.

In the 1980s, Rammellzee’s work broadened beyond tunnels and train yards. He made neon-splattered paintings and complex assemblages crafted from New York City’s detritus. He also appeared in Charlie Ahearn’s seminal film Wild Style and Jim Jarmusch’s Stranger Than Paradise, collaborated with K-Rob on the Jean Michel Basquiat-produced epic hip-hop single “Beat Bop,” wrote an opera, and tried to get a comic book and board game off the ground.

By the 90s, Rammellzee mostly remained within the Battle Station, his sprawling Tribeca studio of over 20 years. Inside this resin-encrusted fortress, he engineered some of his most ambitious and distinctive works: the Garbage Gods – hulking trash warriors with unique identities (among them Vain the Insane, Chaser the Eraser and Igniter the Master Alphabiter). Rammellzee died in 2010 at the age of 49. His vast body of work – and its wide-ranging influence – has recently begun to receive the critical attention and study it deserves.

SUPREME has worked with the estate of Rammellzee to produce a collection for Spring 2020. The collection consists of a Hooded Sweatshirt, Sweatpant, two T-Shirts, GORE-TEX Anorak, GORE-TEX Pant, GORE-TEX Camp Cap and De Martini Messenger Bag.

The collection will be available starting March 19. Those interested will have to purchase online as all of SUPREME’s stores have been closed due to ‘Rona. More pictures on the flip.

Hype Beasts are going to paint the town red as soon as winter makes an exit. SUPREME’s upcoming drop is filled to the brim with bulky logos and collaborations.

For streetwear enthusiasts the end of February is poised to be a feeding frenzy. The world’s most prominent brand in the sub-culture is prepping what seems to be one of the biggest releases. SUPREME’s spring summer 2020 collection sticks to the script with staples including hooded sweatshirts, t-shirts and some pieces that seemingly comes out of left field.

Included in the mix is a top with the Tupac Hologram from the three-dimensional image’s memorable debut at the 2012 Coachella concert. This design finds Pac sporting his signature sagging jeans while SUPREME is found on the trim of his boxers. The official reveal on Instagram naturally caused a frenzy with fans.

As expected SUPREME has partnered with other lifestyle brands to give their gear a point of difference. Their take on the New Era baseball jacket finds all the MLB team logos spread out on the left side of the garment. Additionally the classic Vanson leather biker coat gets a modern update with a perforated shell.
