Quavo Drops “Birkin Bagz” Cannabis Strain And Streetwear

Screen Shot 2022 05 06 at 2.29.20 AM

With the demand for the coveted Birkin bag among women being almost a prerequisite for relationships, Quavo of the Migos, who may know a thing or two about relationships himself, decided that it was time for the guys to smoke the Birkin instead of giving it away to women.

The Huncho has created his own unique marijuana strain called Birkin because the guys have spent too much money tickling the women’s handbag fancy. “We got tired of buying the girls Birkins, so we started smoking it, that’s all.” says Quavo.

Just as Hermès’ Birkin bags can range from $40K to as high as almost $300K, Quavo’s weed is going to be a high-end strain of bud, meaning a super high cost exactly like the Hip Hop name-dropped handbag. When asked if Birkin Bagz would be affordable for regular smokers and he vehemently replied, “No, sir. No broke smoke. This will be the highest weed you ever smoked.”

To add even more flavor to the release of the “most expensivest” weed strain, Quavo teamed up with established streetwear brand Awful Lot of Cough Syrup and dropped a “Birkin Bagz” clothing collab to accompany the new 420.

Hype Driving: A Supreme® X Automobili Lamborghini Collection Is Here [Photos]

Supreme X Automobili Lamborghini Collection

Even though retail is shut down right now one of the biggest clothing brands in the world is still in the fast lane when it comes to collaborations. A Supreme®X Automobili Lamborghini collection has been unveiled.

The world’s most beloved street wear brand is now joining forces with a automobile manufacturer known for their approach to luxury motoring. Born in 1916 in northeast Italy, Lamborghini established a highly successful tractor factory after serving as a mechanic in World War II. By 1960, he’d helmed several other businesses. Lamborghini then turned his attention towards a long-held interest: luxury sports cars.

In 1966, Automobili Lamborghini introduced the Miura, which featured a rear mid-engine and rear wheel drive. Its influential design and construction set a standard for high-performance sports cars globally and established the company’s dynamic legacy. The Miura’s name, and the company’s emblem, was inspired by Ferruccio Lamborghini’s interest in Spanish bullfighting. Many iconic models that have followed the Miura over nearly 60 years – including the Diablo, Murciélago, Aventador, Huracán and Urus – allude to bullfighting history.

Supreme has worked with Automobili Lamborghini on a new collection for Spring 2020. The drop consists of a Hooded Work Jacket, S/S Shirt, Hockey Jersey, Coverall, T-Shirt, Skateboard and Beanie. Each piece is co-branded with the iconic bull logo with Supreme copy placed subtly throughout.

SUPREME Dropping Graffiti Collection Inspired By Writer Rammellzee [Photos]

Rammellzee X SUPREME Collection

While the world is holding on to all their coins SUPREME is making that discipline harder for hypebeasts. The clothing giant is releasing a new graffiti inspired collection.

The New York brand based brand has announced a new drop in conjunction with world renowned artist Rammellzee. The Far Rockaway, Queens native began writing graffiti on the A train during the 1970’s, and developed a spiky lettering that became his signature. This thorny wildstyle was a radical expression of Rammellzee’s Gothic Futurist philosophy – an ethos rooted in the 14th century, when monks were banned from writing in an ornate script that bishops deemed unreadable and dangerous.

In the 1980s, Rammellzee’s work broadened beyond tunnels and train yards. He made neon-splattered paintings and complex assemblages crafted from New York City’s detritus. He also appeared in Charlie Ahearn’s seminal film Wild Style and Jim Jarmusch’s Stranger Than Paradise, collaborated with K-Rob on the Jean Michel Basquiat-produced epic hip-hop single “Beat Bop,” wrote an opera, and tried to get a comic book and board game off the ground.

By the 90s, Rammellzee mostly remained within the Battle Station, his sprawling Tribeca studio of over 20 years. Inside this resin-encrusted fortress, he engineered some of his most ambitious and distinctive works: the Garbage Gods – hulking trash warriors with unique identities (among them Vain the Insane, Chaser the Eraser and Igniter the Master Alphabiter). Rammellzee died in 2010 at the age of 49. His vast body of work – and its wide-ranging influence – has recently begun to receive the critical attention and study it deserves.

SUPREME has worked with the estate of Rammellzee to produce a collection for Spring 2020. The collection consists of a Hooded Sweatshirt, Sweatpant, two T-Shirts, GORE-TEX Anorak, GORE-TEX Pant, GORE-TEX Camp Cap and De Martini Messenger Bag.

The collection will be available starting March 19. Those interested will have to purchase online as all of SUPREME’s stores have been closed due to ‘Rona. More pictures on the flip.

SUPREME’s spring summer 2020 collection sticks to the script with staples including hooded sweatshirts, t-shirts and some pieces that seemingly comes out of left field.

Included in the mix is a top with the Tupac Hologram from the three-dimensional image’s memorable debut at the 2012 Coachella concert. Don’t Believe The Hype: Virgil Abloh Thinks Streetwear Will Die Soon?

Street Style : Paris Fashion Week - Menswear Spring/Summer 2020 : Day Four

Source: Edward Berthelot / Getty

When the times change so does fashion and history has proven that trends are temporary. Virgil Abloh thinks that those logo t-shirts won’t hold the same weight in a couple of years.

As spotted on High Snobiety the designer is taking a hard stance against one of the most popular sub cultures in the style game. In a new interview with Dazed the Chicago native was asked about the future of streetwear and he didn’t sound too confident. “I would definitely say it is gonna die, you know? In my mind, how many more T-shirts can we own, how many more hoodies, how many sneakers?” he theorized. “I thought that fashion was one of those industries that would reinforce people feeling that ‘This isn’t for you. If you don’t have this shirt, you’re not in the club”.

He went on to advise hypebeasts that they should start looking to the past for their future fits. “There are so many clothes that are cool that are in vintage shops and it’s just about wearing them.” He also reminisced about his iconic appointment as the Director of Menswear at Louis Vuitton. “As a young black kid from Rockford, Illinois, from immigrant parents from Ghana, West Africa, that was like, impossible, you know? Like, categorically not gonna happen in a lifetime” he explained.

Virgil’s opinion might come to many as a surprise considering his early beginnings at PYREX and his luxurious (see high priced) spin on streetwear. You can read the interview in entirety here.

Hypebeast Alert: BAPE Is Releasing A Big Sean Capsule Collection [Photos]

Source: Credit: Judy Eddy/WENN.com

Big Sean has a new level up that is a nod to his rookie years. BAPE has curated pieces in his honor.

As spotted on Hypebeast the Detroit artist is the face of a new collection from the Japanese streetwear brand. Not only is he leading the campaign but the clothing bears his likeness and more importantly his bars. The collaboration follows the brand’s BAPE Heads Show Merch from 2018 which featured cartoon renditions of Lil Yatchy, Pusha T, Kid Cudi and Wiz Khalifa.

In this new drop are a range of short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts. To no surprise their signature camouflage print is also included in the design scheme. To commemorate his namesake he is animated along the company’s mascot Baby Milo. Additionally the branding is tailored to the “Single Again” rapper with “A Bathing Don Life” on the front of the black selection and “Closet Looking Like Planet Of The Bathing Apes” on the back.

The BAPE x Big Sean collection drops on November 16 with a meet and greet being hosted at the BAPE Los Angeles store. You can see the look book below.

Jordan Brand Rumored To Be Working With Dior For $2000 Air Jordan 1’s?

While adidas continues to gain ground on Nike and Jordan in the popularity amongst sneakerheads, the Jumpman brand continues to align themselves with popular rappers, designers and high-end name brands to keep stay ahead of the pack, but this latest rumored collaboration might prove to be it’s biggest and most expensive to date.

After it was confirmed that adidas and Prada would be teaming to drop what’s sure to be a hit collaboration, Hypebeast is reporting that word is beginning to spread that Jordan Brand has decided to call on Dior to create an ultra exclusive iteration of the classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette.

While the collaboration has yet to be confirmed by either brand, rumors have already begun circulating that it’s scheduled for a June 2020 release and will retail for a whopping $2,000. That hurts, don’t it? Prepare for worse news, rumors say that only 1,000 pairs are to be produced. Talk about salt in the wound.

With numbers like that expect resale to be close to something ridiculous like $10,000 or better when they drop.

Are you excited about a the chance to spend a King Kong grip on a pair of Dior x Jordan 1’s or are you just gonna prepare to wear that “L” regardless. Let us know.
