Latto’s Used Panties Listing Removed By eBay For Violating Their Policies

One thing about Latto, she will clap back if you try her.

A recent tweet went viral of a user posting side-by-side photos of Latto rocking the same cheetah print panties in different outlets. The caption read, “Can’t afford new panties?”

While the humor was there initially, Latto quoted the tweet by commenting, “Oh no, it’s the panty police.” The post has been retweeted nearly 8K times, with 139K likes.

The laughs continued as Latto decided to take it a step further. Sharing to her 9.8 million followers on Instagram, Latto posted a photo to Story with five different pairs of cheetah underwear, stating, “I’m gonna wear a pair today and sell em tomorrow.”

The next day, Latto did precisely that. The 24-year-old decided to sell the legendary cheetah panties online on eBay, beginning the auction at a mere 99 cents. Her caption reads, “Auction live on eBay since I can’t wear them twice,” as she directed her fans to the link in her bio.

Sadly, eBay came in hot to stop the party, stating that used and worn underwear directly violates their “used clothing policy,” deactivating Latto’s post altogether. The company uses AI technology and trained investigators to ensure their policies are upheld.

The eBay listing read: “Latto’s everyday cheetah print panties. Used. As seen on Latto multiple times.”

With Latto’s devout fanbase, it was no surprise when hundreds of thousands of dollars were put up. Within a few hours since Latto posted, the auction peaked at $95,650, with over 100 bids from her fans partaking in fun. Sadly, Latto won’t sell her panties on the platform soon.

eBay’s customer service page, @askeBay, responded to Lotto’s tweet of the auction stating, “Used underwear is not allowed on site, please report any listings you see in breach of policy.”

Before the listing, Latto even went as far as giving fans a peek into her underwear drawer. She states, “In light of my panty discrepancy yesterday, I’ve decided to give you guys an inside look on my panty drawer. These are all my Target panties that caused such a discrepancy yesterday. $5 at Target, here’s the cheetah stash.”

Either way, we’re sure Latto is getting kicked out of how much fans were willing to pay for her cheap panties!

eBay Kills Fees For Sneaker Sales, Announces Collab With Stadium Goods

The resale game is about to get a jolt of much needed energy. One of the biggest platforms is letting young entrepreneurs live like never before.

Hype Beast is reporting that eBay is now waiving fees for sneaker sales. The announcement is an effort to further empower the culture’s booming business which sits currently at roughly 1.5 million dollars worth of boxes available on the site. eBay will allow pairs sold over $100 USD in North America go minus the selling fees which serve as the commission for the e-commerce corporation. Proprietors will have to identify the feet pieces as “Adult Athletics Shoes” in order to bypass the jig.

“For our community of die-hard sneakerheads, eliminating selling fees allows them to turn their kicks into more cash to fund future purchases, and results in a more robust sneaker inventory for shoppers everywhere,” stated Jeff Chan, Head of Men’s Footwear and Apparel.

In addition to the new initiative eBay also announced that December will be the month of drops which will coincide with a collaboration with brick and mortar retailer Stadium Goods. Each week they will drop a different YEEZY BOOST 700 model below retail price via their official Instagram page.

The programming will also allow enthusiasts to purchase some of the most popular releases of 2019. They will also auction some of the most hyped sneakers of the year including the Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 “Powder Blue” and the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. Nike Is King In The Sneaker Resale Department Per eBay Shopping Report

The sneaker resale industry is showing no signs of slowing down according to eBay’s 2018 Shopping Report revealed today and highlights trends on the e-commerce site.

Thanks to Virgil Abloh’s OFF-WHITE collaborations and Air Jordan sneakers, Nike didn’t suffer an off year.

eBay reports that in 2018 more than 40,000 pairs of sneakers are sold each day on its site with Nike and Adidas being the most popular brands being searched for by potential customers. Air Jordan moved over half a million sneakers on the site despite concerns of oversaturation in the sneaker market.

The report also revealed that a pair of Air Jordan Kobe PE sold for $20,000 on the site this year and that Virgil Abloh’s OFF-WHITE Nike Collaborations sold 38,500 pairs of sneakers on the site. Oh and as far as streetwear brands are concerned, Champion and Supreme racked up 30,000 searches a day.

Per eBay:

  • Most Popular: Nike and Adidas continue to lead the pack, with top styles driving sales of collectible sneakers in the tens of thousands. In fact, half a million Air Jordans were sold this year alone – that’s one pair every minute.
  • Grails of the Year: Taking the spot for most sought-after style this year was the Nike Air Max 1/97 Sean Wotherspoon. The most expensive pair sold in 2018 is the Nike Air Jordan Kobe PE, purchased for $20,000 – a player’s exclusive from 2002 in Kobe’s size.
  • Cash for Kicks: Collectible sneaker sales show no sign of slowing down – eBay shoppers are purchasing more than 370 pairs of sneakers over $250 every day.
  • Brand Love Wins: There was a 76% increase in eBay sales of Champion sweatshirts in the last 90 days, and collab-favorite Supreme racked up 30,000 searches per day.
  • Virgil Vision: It was a big year for the industry’s most sought-after designer – in addition to being named Director of Menswear at Louis Vuitton this year, Virgil launched multiple Off White sneaker styles and designed the Nike tutu outfit Serena Williams wore at this year’s U.S. Open. eBay sold 38,500 Off White sneakers in 2018, that’s 5 pairs per hour at an average of $289 per pair. The most expensive Off White pair sold on eBay this year was the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 “The Ten” for $3,409.

Who said the sneaker resale game was looking shaky? It seems quite profitable according to those numbers.
