Drake and Future seem to be dropping hints that new music is coming soon.

On Sunday (Jan. 5) Drake took to his Instagram to share a snippet of his new collaboration track with Future, “Life Is Good.” The now deleted video, which was posted to Drizzy’s Instastory, featured Champagne Papi checking out the final cut of the possible music video while puffing on a hookah. When asked by a fan when we could expect the ban get to be released, Drizzy responded that the track is expected to arrive “soon soon.”

In December, Drake and Future were spotted filming a music video in an Atlanta McDonald’s along with Mike WiLL Made It and 21 Savage appearing on set. The rappers were spotted inside a McDonald’s wearing what appeared to be fast-food uniforms with an “H” logo.

Although neither camp has confirmed whether the upcoming project was for Drake’s album, that he announced was in the works while on stage with DaBaby in Toronto, or if fans are finally receiving the highly anticipated follow up to the 2015 project What A Time To Be Alive; either way it appears we will be getting the finished product soon.

In other Drake news, while promoting his unreleased track, Drake took time to address some controversy surrounding his latest release, “War”, which the rapper received some backlash over the imagery portrayed in the video. Drake took to his Instagram to respond to complaints stating that his intentions are to always put on for his city and that includes building up new artists.

”My goal is to always uplift and show love to rappers that are buzzing and gaining the world’s attention,” Drake wrote. “My goal is to use our talks that we all use without having it feel like I am taking sides. My goal is to make anyone feel like with the right songs and the right team and the right amount of drive and focus they can push past the darkness and be able to provide for their people and create a legacy.”

Miley Cyrus Acknowledges her White Privilege as a White Musician, Issues Apology for ‘F*cked Up’ Comments About Hip Hop Culture

Miley Cyrus has a tumultuous relationship with Hip Hop, ever since she twerked her way to the top of the charts with 2013 Bangerz album then tried to disassociate herself with the genre in 2017.

In an old interview with Billboard she claimed that she was no longer interested in Hip Hop because of its materialistic and sex-driven lyrics.

“I also love that new Kendrick [Lamar] song [“Humble”]: ‘Show me somethin’ natural like ass with some stretch marks.’ I love that because it’s not ‘Come sit on my dick, suck on my cock.’ I can’t listen to that anymore,” she told Billboard. “That’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little. It was too much ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my cock’—I am so not that.”

Her comments were met with backlash because she came off as culture vulture for using Hip Hop until it no longer benfitted her. In a since-deleted post she claimed her comments were taken out of context.

“Unfortunately only a portion of that interview makes it to print, & A lot of the time publications like to focus on the most sensationalized part of the conversation,” she wrote. “So, to be clear I respect ALL artists who speak their truth and appreciate ALL genres of music (country , pop , alternative …. but in this particular interview I was asked about rap).”

But more than two years later, Miley Cyrus issued an apology for her comments under a fan-made video titled Miley Cyrus Is My Problematic Fav…Sorry. It’s no surprised that she’s trying to chasse her way back into the Urban world considering the amount of love her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, has been receiving for giving Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” an official Country validation.

Just watched your video. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to speak up. Being silent is not like me at all. I am aware of my platform and have always used it the best way I know how and to shine a light on injustice. I want to start with saying I am sorry. I own the fact that saying … “this pushed me out of the hip hop scene a little” was insensitive as it is a privilege to have the ability to dip in and out of “the scene.” There are decades of inequality that I am aware of, but still have alot learn about. Silence is a part of the problem and I refuse to be quiet anymore. My words became a divider in a time where togetherness and unity is crucial. I can not change what I said at that time, but I can say I am deeply sorry for the disconnect my words caused. Simply said: I fucked up and I sincerely apologize. I’m committed to using my voice for healing, change, and standing up for what’s right. Miley

Cyrus’ statement arrives less than two weeks after she released her She Is Coming EP, which includes Hip Hop contributions from Swae Lee, Ghostface Killah, and Mike Will Made-It, who served as executive producer on Bangerz.

Mike WiLL Made-It Confirms Rae Sremmurd Won’t Break Up: “THE JOKE WILL ALWAYS BE ON THE HATER”

Mike WiLL Made-It

Atlanta producer Mike WiLL Made-It isn’t out here worried about the Rae Sremmurd break-up rumors. The head of Ear Drummer Records went to social media to simmer down concerned fans thinking his protégés’ SremmLife days are over.

Mike hopped on Instagram Monday (January 14) to let followers know it’s Sremm forever.

A few hours ago, Slim Jxmmi vowed his loyalty to keeping Rae Sremmurd going.

Over the weekend, Slim shocked fans by hinting at the SremmLife run possibly coming to an unexpected end.

Coincidentally, Swae Lee recently shut down Rae breakup speculation.

Colonizer Creepin’ Back: Miley Cyrus Is Working With Mike WiLL Made-It Again [Video]

Miley Cyrus

Source: photo: WENN.com

We only assume that Miley Cyrus is no longer disgusted by Rap. The Pop colonizer has revealed she is going back to the producer who crafted her biggest sound.

During a recent visit to New York City radio station 95.5 WPLJ she discussed her music direction after releasing her newest single “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” with Mark Ronson.

“I think this is a nice introduction to the sound that we’ve got going on with the next record,” she explained. “Mine is a little heavier than [“Nothing Breaks Like A Heart”]. A song that he and I have done together is more rock driven, kind of modern Debbie Harry kind of like Joan Jett.”

Miley went on to confirm she is linking back with producer Mike WiLL Made-It. “Then we’ve got songs with Mike WiLL that lean more Hip-Hop and songs with Andrew Wyatt that lean more pop/alternative. I just have kind of everything”.

This came out of left field as the pop singer distanced herself from Rap entirely via a now infamous interview with Billboard in 2017.  “That’s what pushed me out of the Hip-Hop scene a little. It was too much ‘Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my c***’—I am so not that.”

Naturally she received a great deal of backlash as she clearly appropriated the genre for her profit during her promotional run for Bangerz where she became synonymous with twerking albeit her deflated cakes. No shaming.

Nas, Lil Wayne, & Kendrick Lamar Headline Mike WiLL Made-It’s ‘Creed II’ Soundtrack [Listen]

We’re less than a week away from finding out whether or not Adonis Creed will be able to put the love on Ivan Drago’s son, Viktor, and avenge his father’s death in Creed II, but until then we’ll just have to enjoy the film’s star studded soundtrack.

Curated by none other than Mike WiLL Made-It, Creed II: The Album boasters some of Hip-Hop’s heaviest weights such as Kendrick Lamar in “The Mantra,” Nas and Rick Ross on “Check,” and Lil Wayne with the intro “Amen.” And that’s just a few names you’d be familiar with. The soundtrack also features new material from J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug, and Vince Staples just to name a few.

So what are you waiting for? Kick off your weekend with some Creed II tunes below and let us know if any of these cuts is the 2018 “Eye of The Tiger.”

Nas & Rick Ross Team Up To Deliver Another Chin Check (Audio)

Throughout the last dozen years, Nas and Rick Ross have collaborated many times, usually on Rozay’s albums. The South Florida rapper is clearly inspired by Nas—an artist whose many gifts include detailed imagery, and a knack for blending street exploits with quote-worthy wisdom.

Fresh off of last year’s stellar “Powers That Be” from Ross’ Rather You Than Me, one of music’s hottest producers brings the two entities back together. Mike WiLL Made It is at the helm for the just-released Creed II soundtrack. The Eardruma Records compilation includes appearances from Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, ScHoolboy Q, Lil Wayne, Vince Staples, and countless others. Following Black Panther soundtrack at the top of the year, another Interscope Records flagship artist is working to make music companions to films feel like an event again, especially in Rap.

Nas Demands A Second Look At His Album With A Stunning Short Film (Video)

Nas and Ross’ “Check” measures up as a highlight. The song plays into the training, fighting, and competitive themes of the film. The chorus sees Nas spitting, “Yo, you ain’t standin’ on your word, you lose respect / Man up, check, chest out, check / Chin up, check, discipline, check.” The Queens legend begins his verse, “Picture what your opponent is thinking inside the square / This is like chess, strategize in the ring / He try’na be a father, but he lost his father to the same thing,” before getting to, “Try to take my last breath, my air, had to check my fear / That’s why they respect Nasir, feel me? / Y’all witnessin’ what you never seen / Needin’ nothing attracts everything, the resurrection of a king.

On his part, Double-R drips trademark couplets such as “Born to be a boss, so nail me to the holy cross.” In looking at his own rise to power in the mid-2000s, Rick revisits decisions made and avoiding pitfalls. Making it in Rap and standing in the boxing ring can be a lot alike. The production, from Mike WiLL and Blue Cheeze, differ from a lot of the hit-maker’s usual stuff. Ross compares the songs to Quentin Tarantino (presumably alluding to Kill Bill) with a song that has Wild West gun-fighting vibes. The strings come in on the important lines too, adding that extra touch.

Lawsuit Filed Against Miley Cyrus for ’23’ Single Dropped

A sigh of relief for everyone who collaborated on the song “23” by Miley Cyrus as the lawsuit for the song has been dropped. The Blast reports the single, which featured Juicy J, Wiz Khalif and Mile WiLL Made-It’s production, is no longer a subject of court proceedings.

The track was in the eyesight of Yella the Triple Threat, an artist who stated that the song was very similar to one of hers titled “Js on My Feet.” Yella stated in the suit the song was released to help in a rebrand to being an “edgier, urban, and adult performer.” She also states that she was not compensated for the song.

The suit was dropped without any response from Cyrus and her team since it was first issued, however, Yella and Juicy J had reached an agreement that had dropped him from the suit earlier. The documents to drop the lawsuit was filed on November 14.
