At one point, the combination of DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion could not miss. Blowing up in Hip-Hop around the same time, the two were a go-to formula for bangers, but that went left after DaBaby aligned himself with Tory Lanez after he shot Hot Girl Meg.

Appearing on Drink Champs, DaBaby feels like no one fit next to her on wax like him and he wants her to “come home.”

“I got love for Meg,” DaBaby said. “Me and Meg made some dope shit together and it’s good to see her rise above the obstacles.”

He also stated he wants to work on a song with Thee Stallion and GloRilla, but the priority is back to collaborating with the Houston Hottie. “I feel like ain’t none of these n-ggas — and no disrespect to who y’all making music with — can really embody that. You gotta come get that shit from Baby.”

He also stated, “Come home, baby. You ain’t gotta be making all that lame shit with these other n-ggas when you can come get it in.”

DaniLeigh’s Brother Demands $4 Million Settlement from DaBaby Over Alleged 2022 Assault

Screen Shot 2024 08 22 at 10.37.13 AM

Last year, singer DaniLeigh’s brother, Brandon Bills, took legal action against her ex, rapper DaBaby, following a highly publicized altercation at a Los Angeles bowling alley. The incident, which occurred in 2022, involved DaBaby and his entourage allegedly attacking Brandon, leading to a civil lawsuit that has since intensified.

Now, Brandon is seeking a multi-million dollar settlement, demanding over $4 million in damages. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Brandon is asking for $2 million in general damages and an additional $2 million in special damages.

The road to serving DaBaby with the legal papers has proven challenging. Brandon reportedly hired a private investigator and a process server to track down the rapper, but both efforts were unsuccessful. As a result, the judge approved an alternative method, allowing Brandon to post an advertisement in a newspaper to officially notify DaBaby of the lawsuit.

As of now, a judge has yet to rule on Brandon’s demand for the multi-million dollar settlement.

Rapper DaBaby Accepts Plea Deal in 2020 Battery Case Involving Homeowner

DaBaby Dropped From Governors Ball Lineup Following Homophobic Remarks

Rapper DaBaby has accepted a plea deal in his 2020 felony battery case, avoiding jail time for an incident in which he allegedly sucker-punched Gary Pagar, the owner of a home where he was shooting a music video.

TMZ reports that while DaBaby was not present in the L.A. County court on Thursday, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery through his lawyer, Blair Berk. As part of the plea deal, DaBaby was sentenced to one-year probation and time served. Additionally, he was ordered to pay $10,000 in restitution, maintain a distance of 100 yards from Pagar, and refrain from possessing firearms and deadly weapons during his probation period.

The incident in question took place during the filming of the “Play U Lay” music video, which featured DaBaby, Jake Paul, and Stunna 4 Vegas. According to Pagar, a confrontation occurred when he arrived on the scene, resulting in him losing a tooth. DaBaby has claimed that Pagar used racist language during the altercation.

Despite the plea deal, legal battles between DaBaby and Pagar are not over. Pagar is still pursuing a lawsuit against DaBaby for fraud, breach of contract, and battery.

This case marks another legal chapter for the North Carolina-bred rapper, whose music career has often been overshadowed by legal troubles and controversies.

DaBaby Balances Life With Heartfelt Video “Done Trying”

unnamed 11

After delivering a titillating rump shaker with “JUDY” last month, eight-time GRAMMY-nominated recording artist DaBaby (South Coast Music Group/Interscope Records) slows down the tempo for his reflective new song “DONE TRYING.” Charged by a heartfelt vocal sample, Baby ruminates on losing his cousin and his tireless work ethic. Though Baby remains steadfast in his goals, he admits he’s only human and has moments when he gets tired. The track’s genuine appeal is felt more in the visual, where Baby’s kids and nephew make cameos as he balances work and family life. “They know I paid them dividends to get they brother dropped / And never sold my soul, I might fuck ’round, be another ‘Pac,” raps Baby on the soul-driven track.

“DONE TRYING” resides on Baby’s three-track EP GHETTO SUPERSTAR, featuring his “GHETTO SUPERSTAR “(FREESTYLE)” and “JUDY” with rising Detroit star Skilla Baby. The three-pack is an appetizer to Baby’s upcoming project, slated to drop this summer.

Dreamville Festival 2024: J. Cole’s Cultural Phenomenon Lights Up Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park with Two Days

JCole004

Raleigh’s Dreamville Festival, conceptualized by North Carolina and Dreamville’s own, J. Cole, returned to the scenic Dorothea Dix Park this past weekend, unfolding two days of live music that was both a celebration of music and a testament to the cultural impact of hip-hop. With the festival drawing in massive crowds from across the state and country, its contribution to North Carolina’s economy was palpable, echoing the effect of over 1,300 full-time jobs with its $145 million impact thanks to the sold out festival.

Saturday set the stage with an eclectic mix of artists, starting with the dynamic rising star Sexyy Red, whose afternoon performance was a vibrant kickoff to the festival. The energy continued to build with names like R&B veteran, Jeremih, and the always energetic and entertaining, Lil Yachty, who set the tone with their melodic hooks and charismatic performances. Schoolboy Q and J.I.D then took the reins later in the evening, delivering hard-hitting verses that resonated with the hip-hop purists in the crowd.

The evening reached a high with 50 Cent, who, stepping in for Chris Brown, proved why he remains a titan in the industry. His set was a relentless journey through his catalog of hits, captivating the audience with his gritty narratives, infectious beats and a surprise appears by North Carolina’s own, DaBaby. Having just wrapped up his farewell tour months ago, his substitute performance was a treat, especially since it could be one of his final performances.

Changing the mood, R&B superstar SZA followed, crafting a different kind of magic with her ethereal vocals and introspective lyrics. Her performance was a soothing counterbalance to the high-energy acts of the night, leaving the audience spellbound and putting the cherry on top of an already epic Day 1 of the festival.

Sunday’s performances were equally compelling, with each artist bringing their unique flair to the festival. Rae Sremmurd, Jeezy, and Key Glock energized the crowd with their high energy sets, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated performances of the night by Nicki Minaj. Albeit an hour late, the queen of rap made up for the lengthy delay by dominating the stage with her unparalleled flow, charisma, and a repertoire of tracks that had the crowd hanging on every word. Her performance was not just a display of her musical prowess but a reminder of her indelible influence on the genre.

As expected, the climax of the festival was J. Cole’s headlining set on Sunday night, an event that was much more than a musical performance; it was a cultural moment that Cole delivers annually for the festival crowd. Fresh off the release of his latest surprise album “Might Delete

Later,” which had already become a streaming sensation, Cole’s set was charged with anticipation, kicking things off with the live debut of “Crocodile Tearz” in front of a backdrop setting of Fayetteville, Cole’s hometown which sits just an hour south of the Dreamville festival grounds. His performance included some selects from the new album, but of course was full of his classics like “No Role Modelz”, “Power Trip”, “Middle Child” and many more. Cole’s set as a whole, was not just a collection of performances but statements, underscoring his place in the ongoing narrative of hip-hop and its evolving landscape.

But what would a headlining Dreamville performance be without some surprise guests? Cole had collaborators from all over the globe join him for his performance, including Jeremih, Lil Yatchy, Central Cee, Benny The Butcher, Lil Durk and more. The guests not only performed their tracks with Cole, but also some of their biggest hits as an added bonus for the crowd.

One highlight came as Cole addressed the crowd about the release of his newest project, specifically in its track “7 Minute Drill”. With everyone wondering what shots J. Cole would return to Kendrick Lamar, Cole instead apologized to K. Dot. “I’m so proud of (“Might Delete Later”), except for one part,” said J. Cole. “It’s one part of that shit that makes me feel like, man that’s the lamest shit I did in my fuckin’ life, right?” Cole went on to express his love for Lamar and called his jab on “7 Minute Drill” corny. While the internet was loving the rap beef between the two hip-hop heavyweights, it’s good to see there is no love lost from Cole to Kendrick, making his headlining performance one that Dreamville fans won’t forget.

Dreamville Festival’s success was not solely due to the impressive lineup but also the seamless experience it offered. With two stages and a schedule designed to minimize conflicts, attendees were able to fully immerse themselves in the music. The festival also catered to the palate with a wide selection of foods and engaged the visual senses with installations from local artists, enriching the overall experience and a staple for a music festival to survive year after year in such an oversaturated space.

This year’s festival was a convergence of past, present, and future, a place where legends stood shoulder to shoulder with emerging stars, and where music was the universal language. As the festival grounds return to calm, the echoes of Dreamville resonate, leaving an imprint on fans who are already counting down the days until the festival returns for another early kickoff to the summer.

[WATCH] DaBaby Films Himself Being Sexually Assaulted By Female Fan

DaBaby Dropped From Governors Ball Lineup Following Homophobic Remarks

Without question, fans of North Cackalack rap star DaBaby has had some of the most outrageous interactions with his fans, whether its him knocking them out cold or him giving them a million dollar chain, DaBaby certainly exhibits superstar status.

This past weekend, DaBaby shared a video of a woman who took pictures with him at the gas station like any normal fan would, but then casually groped him before she walked off.

Yesterday(April 7), the “Rockstar” rapper posted a video on IG with the caption “Just got tried at the gas station.” The cell phone footage shows a woman walking up to his car and asked for a picture, but soon after said she wants to “fuckin’ fuck you,” while sitting in his lap and grabbing his crotch.

He ended the video, but not before saying, “She sexually assaulted me.”

Despite his response, DaBaby really didn’t seem the least bit offended by her behavior, even titling his post, “Anything For You Auntie”.

DaBaby Reveals How He Lost $200 Million After Controversial Rolling Loud Comments

Da Baby

DaBaby is shedding light on the financial repercussions he endured after his controversial remarks at the 2021 Rolling Loud festival. In a recent interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast, the Charlotte rapper candidly discussed the impact of the controversy on both his career and finances, emphasizing the significant personal growth that resulted from a period of self-reflection.

DaBaby Opens Up

DaBaby is speaking out about the financial consequences he faced following his controversial comments at the 2021 Rolling Loud festival.

In his interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast released on November 15, the “ROCKSTAR” rapper expressed the impact the controversy had on his career and finances. He acknowledged that the incident forced him to pause and reflect, ultimately leading to personal growth.

Lesson Learnt, No Regrets

DaBaby considers the period of self-reflection as valuable and claims to have no regrets about what he went through:

“In hindsight, that parked me and kept me from taking off running and utilizing my hustle to distract myself and keep my mind and my spirit and my body occupied. Who is to say where I would be mentally and spiritually had I not been forced to sit my a** down and self-reflect. Because I still didn’t sit down when the incident took place.”

DaBaby also called the situation a blessing in disguise:

“I don’t regret anything that I been through,” DaBaby said.  It feel good to be able to say that and mean it. I really feel like that was a blessing in disguise at this point in my life. I needed that season,” he concluded.

However, users on X were not convinced he was convinced by DaBaby’s estimate of losing $200 million. One user named @Teetakesome commented “He capping bigger than that cap he got on,” and one other user named @NajeJH Who tf was giving him 200Ms bruh.”

The Rolling Loud Controversy

The controversy that led to DaBaby’s financial setback occurred during his set at Rolling Loud in July 2021. His comments, which were deemed homophobic, sparked widespread criticism and resulted in significant consequences for his career:

“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, then put your cell phone lighter up,” he told the crowd. “Ladies, if your p**sy smell like water, put your cell phone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cell phone lighter up,” he said on stage.

Lost Endorsements

The “SHAKE SUMN” rapper lost endorsements, including a Burger King deal, and faced backlash from festival organizers. His shows experienced low ticket sales, and he was removed from several festival lineups, such as the Governors Ball and Lollapalooza.

Despite the challenges, DaBaby has been working on a comeback. He recently released the single “Ghetto Girls,” in August 2023, featuring social media comedians Desi Banks and Pretty Vee, hinting at a resurgence in his music career.

Lil Nas X Apologizes To Transgender Community

DaBaby is not the only rapper who has faced backlash for comments about the LGBTQ+ community. Lil Nas X, in March 2023, made a controversial joke about gender reassignment surgery, which he later apologized for.
