UFC Superstars Conor McGregor & Khabib Nurmagomedov Suspended For Months

Conor McGregor 1

UFC fighters Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov are going to have some serious free time on their hands. The MMA organization has suspended both superstars for six months over a post-UFC 229 altercation.

According to reports, both prized brawlers will have to take their UFC breaks and also pay hefty fines over the October incident.

Conor was hit with a $50,000 fine — and will be eligible to fight again on April 6. Khabib’s suspension is a little different — he was hit with a $500,000 fine and a 9-month suspension … with the ability to get a 3-month reduction IF he makes an anti-bullying video. Neither UFC star was present Tuesday when the case went in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. (TMZ)

Back in October, McGregor reflected on taking a hard loss to Khabib.

Thoughts on my last fight. Round 1. I believe from a sport standpoint, round 1 was his. Top position against the fence. Zero position advancement or damage inflicted. But top position. From a fight standpoint the first round is mine. Actual shots landed and a willingness to engage. Straight left early. Knee to the head on the low shot. Elbows in any and all tie up scenarios. Opponent just holding the legs against the fence for almost the entire round. Round 2 he is running away around the cage before being blessed with a right hand that changed the course of the round, and the fight. It was a nice shot. After the shot I bounced back up to engage instantly, but again he dipped under to disengage. That is the sport and it was a smart move that led to a dominant round, so no issue. Well played. If I stay switched on and give his stand up even a little more respect, that right hand never gets close and we are talking completely different now. I gave his upright fighting no respect in preparation. No specific stand up spars whatsoever. Attacking grapplers/wrestlers only. That won’t happen again. I also gave my attacking grappling no respect. To defense minded. Lessons. Listen to nobody but yourself on your skill set. You are the master of your own universe. I am the master of this. I must take my own advice. Round 3. After the worst round of my fighting career, I come back and win this round. Again walking forward, walking him down, and willing to engage. Round 4. My recovery was not where it could have been here. That is my fault. Although winning the early exchanges in 4, he dips under again and I end up in a bad position with over 3 on the clock. I work to regain position and end up upright, with my back to the fence. A stable position. Here however, I made a critical error of abandoning my over hook at this crucial time, exposing the back, and I end up beaten fair and square. What can I say? It was a great fight and it was my pleasure. I will be back with my confidence high. Fully prepared. If it is not the rematch right away, no problem. I will face the next in line. It’s all me always, anyway. See you soon my fighting fans I love you all ❤

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Says Khabib Boxing Fight Is Happening: “I’m In The Check-Cashing Business”

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Boxing icon Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ready to see UFC superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov face-to-face in the ring. The sports mogul has announced his intention to put the gloves on and face-off against the MMA fighter.

In a new interview, Mayweather Jr. said he’s down to take on Khabib a year after defeating UFC fighter Conor McGregor in a boxing match.

“What I exactly said is CBS, Showtime, MGM Grand, get that check book ready because you already know I’m Floyd Money Mayweather. I’m in the check-cashing business. I’m about that money. We fighting. I mean, I’m my own boss. So I can’t say what’s going on on Khabib’s end but on my end, we can make it happen. Then I saw on IG and social media he put, basically he’ll fight but he doesn’t want to fight in Vegas. Of course we know Vegas is the fighting capitol and after the fight you have to conduct yourself as a professional. Not just inside the ring but outside the ring. You must conduct yourself as a professional and it was a big melee. I haven’t had a chance to see it but from what I heard it was a crazy melee [after UFC 229].

UFC superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s manager isn’t here for the small talk. The MMA fighter’s frontman has flexed some social media tactics to rip apart 50 Cent following a $2 million Bellator MMA offer.

Khabib manager talking crazy to 50 cent 👀😐

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akadmiks) on

Yesterday, 50 had some less than friendly words for Abdelaziz and suggested he’s bad management.

Earlier in the day, footage surfaced of Ali shutting down Fif’s hefty opportunity.

As for 50 Cent, the rapper is now in business with the Bellator MMA promotion and has been trying to recruit Khabib over to the rival league. He recently made a $2 million offer to Khabib but Ali says it ain’t nearly enough. “For $2 million, [that won’t even] open a Coca-Cola bottle for Khabib. Khabib make a lot of money. We talk about $50 MILLION and up, we can talk. But $2 mil? This is garbage.” (TMZ)

Over the weekend, 50 Cent hyped up a potential opportunity to get Khabib to ditch the UFC.

50 Cent

New York rapper 50 Cent isn’t impressed with Khabib Numagomedov‘s manager. The hip-hop star has responded to the UFC champion’s frontman laughing off a $2 million offer for his client to joint MMA franchise Bellator.

Jackson’s offer followed Khabib’s recent publicized post-UFC 229 Conor McGregor brawl.

Nurmagomedov later responded to the post in the comment section with his trade “send me the location” before inviting Jackson to visit Dagestan. Khabib Numagomedov Manager Responds To 50 Cent’s Bellator Offer: “$2 Mil? This Is Garbage”

50 Cent

UFC superstar Khabib Numagomedov‘s manager isn’t here for $2 million offers. The prized fighter’s frontman has responded to 50 Cent offering him a couple mil to join his Bellator organization.

In a new interview, Ali Abdelaziz did much more than shut down 50’s opportunity to leave the UFC.

Despite the major opportunity, reports claim it’s unlikely Khabib will part ways with the UFC.

Although the rapper may be putting a generous offer on the table, it’s ultimately likely a very meaningless one. Nurmagomedov is contractually obligated to the UFC and won’t be able to part ways with the company unless he’s released or opts to breach his contract, which is highly unlikely. (MMA Junkie)

In late September, 50 Cent announced a new Viacom and Bellator MMA deal.

“You already know. We here, I’m celebrating, just did a new deal. Viacom. Bellator. MMA. It’s going down. You see I got the WBA right here. This right here, next year it’s gonna just be me versus me for Hustler of the Year. I’m doing it big. I’m the heavyweight champion of this sh*t right here. I got this sh*t going. You see me. Don King ain’t Don King. Don King’s old. I’m Don King. I’m the American Dream around this motherf*cking championship scene. Working the room like a motherf*cker. But they paid me, so, check this out. Give me something, a little watch, something like that, I send something over there. All that little money, the money you were upset you didn’t put into the actual boxing sh*t, I’m not upset about that sh*t at all. Not at all. If we were cool, I wouldn’t be making a deal like this right now. My n*gga, you did it. You did it, Sha. I know you didn’t mean to do it, you little retarded motherf*cker but you did it. [laughs]”
