Young Thug Tries To Expose Potential Snitches In Georgia Drug Case

Atlanta rapper Young Thug is going the legal route to find out if there’s a snitch spilling the tea on him. New reports claim Thugger’s legal muscle is determined to see if someone is behind giving dirt to Georgia law enforcement.

According to reports, YT’s attorneys have asked a judge to force prosecutors to expose any potential snitches.

YT’s lawyers are demanding any and all info related to potential snitches who might’ve sold their client down the river in his drug case, where he was slapped with 8 felonies. If anyone cut a deal or got leniency in return for snitching on the rapper … the lawyers want to know, and they want names. (TMZ)

Last week, reports claimed Thugger turned himself in to Atlanta police.

Today (Sept. 11), jail documents show he was booked around 2:30 p.m. on five counts of violating the state’s controlled substance act. He’s currently in the custody of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. It looks like Thugger, born Jeffery Lamar Williams, may have headed back home to Georgia when he caught wind of the warrant, as unhappy fans reported on Twitter that he was a no-show at the J. Cole KOD concert in Denver, Colo. last night, on which he is a guest artist. (XXL Mag)

Recently, reports emerged about cops wanting to get a hold of Thug on an arrest warrant.

The grand jury warrant was issued in DeKalb County after Thug was indicted on a slew of drug possession charges … according to our law enforcement sources. We broke the story, the grand jury rung him up last week on a total of 8 FELONIES! YT was charged with possession and intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone and weed. He’s also charged with possession of amphetamine, Alprazolam, codeine (2 counts) and a firearm. (TMZ)

Outside of his legal troubles, Thug is gearing up to drop his On The Rvn album.

Young Thug thinks someone is dropping dime on him, and he wants to know who. The Atlanta rapper thinks there’s a snitch or two involved in his Georgie drug case, so he’s asked the judge to tell him their identities. 

Reports TMZ:

YT’s lawyers are demanding any and all info related to potential snitches who might’ve sold their client down the river in his drug case, where he was slapped with 8 felonies. If anyone cut a deal or got leniency in return for snitching on the rapper … the lawyers want to know, and they want names.

Not only that … Thug’s lawyers also want info that will help them rip apart would-be canaries, including criminal records, personnel files and any other relevant dirt.

We broke the story … Young Thug was charged with possession and intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone and weed. He’s also charged with possession of amphetamine, Alprazolam, codeine (2 counts) and a firearm … all stemming from his arrest last September when he got pulled over for tinted windows.

Thugger is currently out on $100,000 bail.

Here’s the thing, if you didn’t do any dirt, there’s nothing to snitch on you about, right?

Young Thug Says He Will Never Talk To Kanye Again If He’s Not Featured On ‘Yandhi’

It seems as if Young Thug and Kanye West have been in the studio together.

Over the past two days, Kanye has shaken up social media with a number of big announcements. First, the 21-time Grammy Award winner confirmed his musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live’s Season 44 opener on Sept. 29. In addition, he visited Chance The Rapper’s “Open Mike” event in Chicago to announce their upcoming album, Good Ass Job. He also vowed to move back to Chicago and “never leave again.” While everyone thought that was it, Ye surprised us with one more announcement.

He posted artwork similar to 2013’s Yeezus, with the date 9.29.18 and title, Yandhi.

The post led many to assume a Yeezus 2. Well, Young Thug must know something that we don’t know. After catching wind of the post, Thugger took to Twitter to send Ye a message.

“If I’m not on #YANDHI I’m never talking to u again #OnGod,” said the Atlanta artist.

Thugger’s ultimatum may just convince Ye to put him in the upcoming project. This may be the best time because Ye is promoting love, peace, and collaboration. Although Thug has his own project dropping “very soon,” he wants to take full advantage of the moment. We have not witnessed any collabs from either artist. In 2016, Thugger released a song entitled “Kanye West” from his Jeffrey album, featuring Wycleaf Jean. One can assume that Ye and Thugger have collaborated on a number of unreleased tracks. This is common amongst artists. The “Jesus Walks” artist has yet to respond to Thugger, but like Thug, many are anticipating an appearance one of Kanye’s tracks. Who’s ready for this collab? One thing we can assume is that it’ll be met with high expectation and anticipation.

Rich Gang’s Young Thug really, really, really, really, really wants to land a guest spot on Yandhi. The hip-hop star has singled out Kanye West about his need to appear on his upcoming project.

Thugger went to Twitter Tuesday (September 18) afternoon and directly hit up Yeezy about an appearance.

A few hours ago, Kanye announced a late September drop date for his new album.

In late June, G.O.O.D. Music’s CyHi The Prynce revealed West’s intent on dropping a Ye album follow-up.

Speculation recently developed about Kanye possibly putting out 52 new records in 52 weeks.

New York Times writer Jon Caramanica recently spent three days with West for an in-depth profile, and he followed it up with a Q&A on NYT’s Popcast on Wednesday. During the podcast, Caramanica mentioned, “He said he wants to get a place in Wyoming and he thinks he wants to spend more time there. He told me at one point he wants to make 52 records in 52 weeks. Early Tuesday, Thugger’s Instagram page teased cover artwork and guest features for his upcoming studio effort.

Young Thug Released From Jail, Out On $100K Bail For Drug Case

Young Thug has been released from jail but it will take some further finessing to get his full freedom back. Thugger still faces some serious charges for one of several arrests.

On September 11 the man known as “Sex” turned himself into DeKalb County police in Georgia. Local authorities issued a warrant for the rapper stating he was wanted on eight felonies. These crimes range from possession and intent to distribute amphetamine, Alprazolam (Xanax), codeine and carrying an unregistered firearm.

The charges stem from a September 2017 arrest where Jefferey was pulled over for illegally tinted windows. During a search cops found a couple ounces of marijuana, a buffet of the aforementioned drugs and about $50,000 in cash.

Bossip reports that Thugger appeared in court yesterday (September 13) and it seems his legal team is worth every penny of their retainer. Prosecutors advocated that he stay behind bars until his trial concludes but the judge granted him bail of $100,000 which he posted later that day.

His legal problems do not end there, though. On August 17 the “Stoner” rapper was arrested at his own listening event for his latest project Slime Language. Apparently, his driver crashed into a police vehicle prompting a search of their car. According to the police documents several weapons were uncovered.

Young Thug faces heavy time if convicted on all counts.
