Anthony Davis To The Knicks? Kyrie & LeBron Back Together? All A Possibility, Reportedly

NBA All-Star Game 2018

Source: Kevork Djansezian / Getty

Pelicans fans are still recovering from the gut punch that was Anthony Davis’ trade request, but if you’re a Knicks or Lakers fan, this is the news you were hoping for.

With the NBA trade deadline quickly coming teams that specifically have Davis on their radar are putting together possible trade packages. The Lakers have long been considered the favorites to land the unibrow rocking all-star, but the tanking for Zion Williamson Knicks could also be in play for Davis’ services according to Bleacher Report. With a first-round draft pick, the possibility of luring Kevin Durant away from the Golden State Warriors and Kristaps Porzingis as trade bait the laughing stock of NYC can turn into contenders once again.

Per Bleacher Report:

“The Knicks, on the other hand, haven’t been a preferred destination for years—but there are indications of that potentially changing. League sources believe they have “a strong chance” of luring Durant should he leave the Golden State Warriors this summer and that Davis is “open” to New York as a landing place as well. Throw in a pick in this year’s NBA draft that could potentially add Duke’s Zion Williamson or RJ Barrett or Murray State’s Ja Morant, and there’s finally a reason for optimism in Manhattan.”

“To get Davis, a deal would likely have to involve Porzingis. The hitch, there is that any deal involving Porzingis, the soon-to-be restricted free agent, would have to be consummated before next week’s trade deadline as he couldn’t be dealt after the season prior to hitting free agency.”

As for the Lakers, the report not only talks about the team having a good shot at luring Davis based on the fact LeBron James sharing an agent in Rich Paul, there is also rumblings of Kyrie Irving wanting to reunite with his former Cavaliers teammate. Fresh off the phone call where Irving revealed he apologized to Bron for his past behavior Bleacher Report source close to the Celtics is saying “that is for real,” about Kyrie’s genuine interest in an Uncle Drew and Bron reunion.

Kyrie, Lebron and Anthony Davis on the same team? That sounds scary as hell. All of this because of one trade request, we can’t wait to see how this pans out in the Association.

EA Sports ‘Madden NFL 19’ Predicts The L.A. Rams Knocking Off The Patriots In Super Bowl LIII

EA Sports 'Madden NFL 19' Predicts Rams Will Win Super Bowl LIII

Source: Icon Sportswire / Getty

If you’re a Saints fan or a Patriots fans, this news might not sit well with you. According to EA Sports Madden NFL 19 video game, the Los Angeles Rams will win Super Bowl LIII and take home the Vince Lombardi trophy.

Fingers crossed.

Super Bowl week is officially here, and if you’re one of the many people rooting against Trump’s favorite team the Patriots, then this is the prediction you are looking for. The simulation foresees a very tight contest with the Rams denying the Pats that elusive sixth championship.

Despite Tom Brady doing what he does best leading his team to a late lead, it’s the Rams lead by Jared Goff’s arm, Defensive Tackle Aaron Donald’s Super Bowl MVP performance, and RB Todd Gurley coming through in the clutch helping them squeak past the AFC powerhouse.

Now Patriots fans it’s not all doom and gloom, CBS ran its own simulation, and it has the Patriots winning a “wild” close game 38-31. Despite labeling themselves “underdogs” the Patriots are favored to real the big dance, but nothing is guaranteed the Philadelphia Eagles definitely proved that last year earning New England tremendous amounts of slander.

Just in time for the big game, Madden NFL 19 Ultimate Super Bowl Edition is on sale now for a limited time. Players can load up their Madden Ultimate Team rosters using one of five “Super Bowl Elite players” which includes Keyshawn Johnson, Dick Butkus, Walter Payton, Jevon Kearse and Darrell Green on top of one active  Elite Active Super Bowl Player and Gold Team Fantasy Packs.

You can watch the highlights from the simulation below and let us know who you are rooting for in the comment section.

Anthony Davis & His Unibrow Want Out Of N.O., Lakers Fans React Accordingly

Anthony Davis Wants Out of New Orleans, Lakers Fans Rejoice

Source: Chris Graythen / Getty

The city of New Orleans can’t seem to catch a break as far as, sports is concerned lately. First, the Saints get robbed of a trip to the Super Bowl, and now the Pelicans’ only hope at relevancy Anthony Davis wants out, and according to reports, he is serious about his decision.

Tough week to be a New Orleans sports fan.

The news of the Davis wanting out had to feel like a punch in the gut to Pelicans fans. ESPN NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski dropped the Wojbomb this morning that the brow’s agent Rich Paul informed the New Orlean Pelicans his client has no intentions of signing an extension and wants out.

The news had NBA Twitter buzzing early and firing up their trade machines trying to determine where the All-Star forward could possibly land. The Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks have been mentioned but it’s one team in particular who seem to be the ideal suitors for Davis, and that is the Los Angeles Lakers who for the most part have been indirectly courting the big man for months.

The Lebron-led Lakers have been on a bit of a slide with their leader sidelined by a strained left groin. If the Lakers want to land the highly-coveted player trade talks would have to include Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Ivica Zubac and a no.1 pick according to NBA sources.

Judging by the reactions of fans of the team, the Lakers shouldn’t hesitate to make that move to acquire Davis. The Lakers haven’t smelled an NBA championship in 9 years and if they want to they gotta make a move cause this team as built isn’t cutting it. Hit the gallery below to see all of the reactions A.D’s trade request.

Adrien Broner Caught A Fade For The Hood, Clowned Epically For Thinking He Won

Twitter Clowns Adrien Broner After Losing To Pacquiao

Source: Christian Petersen / Getty

Boxing’s biggest loudmouth and disappointment Adrien Broner had an opportunity to make a statement last night (January 19). Instead, he was embarrassed by 40-year-old boxer Manny Pacquaio in a fight that wasn’t even close from the sound of the first bell.

He did it for the hood.

That’s what the Cincinnati native Broner claimed after the judges correctly and unanimously awarded Manny the decision for the very obvious ass whooping that even the blindfolded characters from Bird Box could see. In classic Broner form, the only entertainment he provided was his post-fight interview with Jim Gray where he was apparently still punch drunk and claimed he won the fight.

Broner was throwing more excuses than punches and even claimed that judges only sided with Manny to set up another fight between Pacquiao and “retired” boxer Floyd Mayweather who promoted the bout.

Broner not only suffered a vicious beat down in the ring, but his post-fight shenanigans also earned him a well-deserved dragging in his Fashion Nova fits up and down timelines on Twitter. Boxing fans lit him up like Manny did in the ring reminding the underachieving pugilist he did not win the fight and that the hood he supposedly did it for wanted nothing to do with him.

You can peep all of the hilarious slander in the gallery below.

Deion Sanders Revisits Suicide Attempt In Autobiography Ahead of ESPN ’30 For 30′

ESPN '30 For 30' Doc Will Revisit Deion Sanders' Suicide Attempt

Source: Icon Sportswire / Getty

Deion ‘PrimeTime’ Sanders accomplished a lot of the goals all professional athletes strive for. But at one point in his life, the two-sport star was in a very dark place and tried to end it all. A new ESPN 30 For 30 documentary will touch on Sanders’ almost succumbing to the pressures of fame.

Sanders an NFL Hall-of-Famer and two time Superbowl champion on the outside was a charismatic figure on an off the field. He was living the life and the “Must Be The Money” rapper had it all but reveals in his autobiography Power, Money & Sex: How Success Almost Ruined My Life, it all of those things brought him to the brink of taking his own life.

The book was first released in the late ’90s but a new ESPN 30 For 30 documentary about Sanders airing January 31st,2019  will revisit the moment as reported by The Undefeated. The trouble began for the high-stepping cornerback during his first marriage to then-wife Carolyn Chambers back in 1997 who is the mother of his two children Deion Jr and Deiondra. Their union was hit a snag and propelling him to spiral downward with him attempting suicide.

“I was going through the trials and tribulations of life. I was pretty much running on fumes. I was empty, no peace, no joy. Losing hope with the progression of everything.”

Sanders tried to kill himself by driving his car off a cliff 30- to 40-feet down. He survived and after the life-changing experience gave his life to God.

“I finally just got on my knees and gave it all to the Lord. Slowly, but surely, I had to deal with my faith, deal with my strength. I had to get a lot of Word in so that I could fight off the enemy. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my faith. People argue about what faith is, and who Jesus is, but it works for me. I’m not going to sit here and argue about who is what, and what is what, I’m just going to say it works for me.”

We are looking forward to seeing the doc which will give us a closer look on Deion Sanders’ life while he a star in the NFL, and his attempt back in 1992 at playing in a pro-football game and MLB National League Championship game in the same day.

Docu-series On The Los Angeles Lakers “Showtime” Era In Development

Minnesota Timberwolves v Los Angeles Lakers

Source: Jayne Kamin-Oncea / Getty

The Los Angeles Lakers dominated the NBA in the 1980s on the back of the supremely talented Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, spearheading an intense rivalry with the Boston Celtics. A five-part documentary series featuring the “Showtime” era of the Lake Show with Pat Riley at the coaching helm is currently in development.

Deadline reports:

The Los Angeles Media Fund and the Lakers are teaming up with Haven Entertainment to produce a five-episode docu-series focusing on the ’80s Showtime era of the storied basketball team. That was the period when Pat Riley coached the run and gun style distinguished by Magic Johnson’s passing and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring and shot blocking, with Jamaal Wilkes, James Worthy, Byron Scott, and Michael Cooper backing them up. Courtside, celebs like Jack Nicholson turned The Forum into the town’s hottest ticket and the team won five NBA titles and waged an unbelievable rivalry with Larry Bird’s Boston Celtics. The series will be directed by Kristopher Belman (More Than A Game) and financed by Jeffrey Soros and Simon Horsman’s Los Angeles Media Fund.

Before the Michael Jordan and LeBron James era, the Lakers and Celtics were the premier teams at the time ahead of the Detroit Pistons breaking out into a back-to-back championship run.  This occurred, of course, before the Chicago Bulls’ dominance in the NBA throughout the early 1990s.

The series has yet to announce an air date.

Darren Collison Crosses DeAndre Ayton Out of His Pumas, #NBATwitter Reacts

Darren Collinson crosses DeAndre Ayton

Source: Mitchell Leff / Getty

DeAndre Ayton is having himself a good first year so far. But last night he suffered what is likely going to be one of many growing pains when playing in the NBA. The Phoenix Suns rookie got to be in the highlight of the night, but unfortunately, he’s on the receiving end in it.

Welcome to the league young man.

Last night, Indiana Pacers guard Darren Collison hit Ayton with the purest of crossovers sending the big man toppling like a slow falling tree after it has been cut down. To add insult to injury Collison added the exclamation point with a cookie of layup possibly due to players stunned at what they just witnessed.

Ayton literally looked like he a chair pulled from under him and had everyone putting an APB out for his rookie ankles. Now getting crossed in the league is nothing new, but it’s extremely rare to witness a player getting yanked so purely. Typically when we get one of these highlights, there is some factor that contributes to the victim falling like stepping on the player’s foot, tripping over a leg or something.

Well as you can imagine #NBATwitter had to bless the rookie slander after his ankles got destroyed. He might want to throw those Pumas away after last night. Hit the gallery for all of the reactions to Darren Collison properly welcoming Ayton to the NBA.

Foul On The Play?: Houston Rockets and Carmelo Anthony Part Ways, #NBATwitter Has Thoughts

Twitter Reacts To The Houston Rockets Parting Ways With Carmelo Anthony

Source: Tim Warner / Getty

Carmelo Anthony can’t seem to catch a break. The Carmelo Anthony x Houston Rockets experiment has come to a very disappointing end—leaving the future Hall-of-Famer’s career in limbo.

NBA Twitter has some serious thoughts about the matter. The “Melodrama” continues.

Who would have thought Carmelo’s career would end up going in a direction like this? We wouldn’t be surprised if the answer to that question was not many or anyone at all. ESPN’s Senior NBA Insider, Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news of the Rockets deciding to move on from Anthony.

Right on cue, the speculations of where the aging superstar might land could be heard with some saying his best choices would either be the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers or Philadelphia 76’ers. While he hasn’t gotten any immediate offers from NBA teams, JJ Barea did offer Melo a chance to join the Puerto Rican National Team. But there is one person who feels Melo should just pack it up and ride off into the sunset.

Retired NBA superstar and now ESPN analyst Tracy McGrady believes Carmelo should retire. While some like his best buddies Chris Paul and LeBron James feels he still has something left in the tank, McGrady thinks that he is no longer the primary scoring option for any team and being put in a player/coach lesser bench role has no appeal to him. If Melo’s situation sounds familiar to you it should because it does bear a resemblance to how Allen Iverson’s stubbornness to accept a bench or diminished role eventually pushed him out of the league.

Regardless of how this situation pans out Carmelo Anthony is still one of the best players to step on an NBA court. That is one thing they can never take away from him, we hope the situation pans out for him. Hit the gallery below to see the reactions to Carmelo’s short tenure with the Houston Rockets coming to an end.
