Jay-Z and NYC radio mainstay Funkmaster Flex definitely have no love lost, but their tension was just magnified now that Flex has co-signed a report that Hov cut a deal with former president Donald Trump in order to orchestrate the clemency release of Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez.

According to a report from Variety Magazine, Mr. Carter reportedly cut a secret deal with the Trump Administration that he and his wife Beyoncé would not publicly support Biden’s campaign in exchange for Perez’s presidential pardon.

Perez’s conviction could’ve stopped Jay-Z’s “Monogram” cannabis franchise, as California law prohibits a convicted felon from running a cannabis business.

Flex took the the ‘Gram, sharing an image of the New York Post cover story about Perez’s cocaine bust that led her to allegedly wearing wire taps to assist the Feds.

Death Row Co-Founder Harry-O Receives Presidential Pardon From Trump

Screen Shot 2021 01 19 at 3.58.56 PM

In an exclusive report from AllHipHop, Death Row co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris is set to be released from prison immediately after being pardoned by outgoing President Donald Trump, which was facilitated by Snoop Dogg and friends.

“Harry-O had another 10 years and he may not have made it,” said Weldon Angelos, one of the activists who assisted Snoop in releasing Harris. “There’s COVID…it’s rampant, there’s 40,000 people infected in the federal prison system and 190 deaths and it’s rising every day.”

Harris, who ran a multi-million dollar drug ring based in Los Angeles, had been incarcerated for over three decades, was not scheduled for release until 2028. Weldon Angelos and Alice Marie Johnson, two prison advocates who were also pardoned by Trump, helped in Harris’ commutation via Snoop’s connection to Trump’s team.

“We just let Snoop give his pitch to Alice on what Harry-O meant to him, you know, how important this person was to him. Alice listened. She was very impressed – not because it was Snoop or that (Harry-O) was the founder of Death Row Records,” Weldon said. “When she looked through the file that I had sent her, she was impressed that he had done a lot in the time he was in federal prison. He has accomplished a lot through the different programs he was creating and doing on the streets from prison. And his post-release plans.”

Harry-O is the individual responsible for granting the $1.5 million in seed money to launch Death Row Records back in 1992. Harris became engulfed in a legal battle with Suge Knight over proceeds from the label during his incarceration.

Weldon Angelos concluded, “This is definitely an injustice they corrected today. Out of all this drama going on with the White House, something good has come out of this.”

Snoop Dogg Attempts to Convince Trump to Pardon Death Row Co-Founder Harry-O

Screen Shot 2021 01 19 at 8.19.32 AM

Even though Snoop Dogg has publicly criticized Donald Trump during his entire term in office, the Doggfather is making a last day, ditch effort with a couple of activists to lobby for Trump to pardon Death Row Records co-founder, Michael “Harry-O” Harris before he leaves office.

Criminal justice reform advocate Alice Johnson, who is working with Snoop and had her own life sentence commuted by President Trump, says, “The president knows about it. I’ve spoken with Ivanka [Trump] and I’ve spoken with Jared [Kushner], and I’ve been told that President Trump is aware of the case and has been reviewing it. I’ve spoken to [White House chief of staff] Mark Meadows about it, and he said he’d take a look at it. The president knows how much this case means to me… In reviewing Michael Harris’ case, his story, and what he’s gone through, this is such an unfair case…He should have been home a decade ago. I really felt for this man. I am very hopeful that he will be home before the end of the Trump administration.”

Weldon Angelos, a music producer who was pardoned by Trump last month, says Snoop made Harry-O’s release a possibility when Snoop contacted him after Christmas in an attempt to get Harris’ sentence commuted.

“Snoop brought this case to me, and I brought Alice Johnson on board to help it with me, and she brought it to the West Wing,” said Angelos. “In the past, the president has given her the ability to select cases. And she doesn’t get [clemency for] all of them…But with Mr. Harris, she is not taking no for an answer.”

Harry-O is doing federal and state time for his connection to an 11-state drug trafficking ring with ties to a Colombian cartel. His current, projected release isn’t until 2028.
