SOURCE SPORTS: Mike Tomlin Shuts Down Antonio Brown Retiring as a Steeler

Antonio Brown Trolls Buccaneers After Playoff Loss To The Rams

Antonio Brown is currently out of the NFL but if it was up to him he could retire as a Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pivot Podcast caught up with Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and asked him would it happen? His response: “Y’all know that ain’t happening.”

“In terms of putting a helmet on and running out of the tunnel and playing ball and stuff like that, man. You know he’s moved on, and we’ve moved on,” Tomlin said. “We can sit around and chop that up like it’s a realistic conversation, but we know that’s not realistic.”

During a stellar nine-year run with the Steelers, Brown had 837 receptions, 11,207 yards, and 74 touchdowns. Tomlin would touch on those achievements.

“What I’ll say about AB is this man, we had nine great years,” Tomlin said. “I appreciate that dude in ways I can’t explain to y’all. I won’t even bother to attempt to explain to y’all because it sounds like I’m defending him in some way. And to me, from that standpoint, the nature of our relationship and what we all did together requires no defense.”

Last month, AB hit Twitter and revealed he wants to retire with the team he started his career with. In a couple of tweets, AB revealed his stance. “Just wanna retire a Steeler,” AB wrote. “Not play, just retire so we clear.”

Antonio Brown is currently focused on his music career. Earlier this year, he released his highly anticipated album Paradigm via Vydia & CAB Records. The new album features French Montana, DaBaby, Fivio Foreign, Young Thug, and Keyshia Cole, among others.

“Paradigm, to me means, your total perspective,” AB says of the album. “How you view the world, the lens through which you see everything. So a paradigm shift means a massive shift in how one sees everything. That’s what this album is about.”

You can hear the new album below.

Myles Garrett Won’t Face Criminal Charges In Helmet Fade On Mason Rudolph, Suspension Definitely Happening

Pittsburgh Steelers v Cleveland Browns

In a sport that’s violent as is, a player from the Cleveland Browns has put an even larger stain on the sport after attacking another player with their own helmet. Defensive end Myles Garrett removed Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph’s helmet in a tussle and struck him in the head, but amazingly won’t face criminal charges at the moment.

TMZ Sports reports:

“The person who was hit would have to file a report. There is no criminal complaint filed,” Cleveland PD Public Information Officer Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia tells us.

The incident went down in the final seconds of the game at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland — when Garrett and Rudolph tussled after a play … followed by Garrett ripping off Mason’s helmet at swinging it at his head.

After the game Garrett spoke about the incident — “What I did was foolish, and I shouldn’t have allowed myself to slip like that,” Garrett said … “It’s out of character.”

“I lost my cool and I regret it,” he added … “It’s going to come back to hurt our team. The guys who jumped into the scrum, I appreciate my team having my back, but it never should have gotten to that point.”

The contest went down Thursday night (November 14) with the Browns defeating the Steelers 21-7 in Cleveland’s home stadium. Garrett will most likely be suspended several games although the NFL, reeling from the news no doubt, has yet to make a decision.

Snoop Dogg Wants To See Colin Kaepernick In A Steelers Jersey

2019 US Open - Day 4

Snoop Dogg is a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he’s currently lobbying the team to replace their fallen starting quarterback, Ben “Handsy” Roethlisberger. The Doggfather wants to see free-agent quarterback and activist Colin Kaepernick slinging the ball from the pocket for the Black and Yellow.

Roethlisberger went down with an elbow injury Sunday (September 15) against the Seattle Seahawks in a 28-26 loss and will be out for the rest of the season. The team has been on the hunt for a quarterback, a position that has seen another valuable starter, Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints, get hurt as well.

Snoop’s remedy for the Steelers is to get Kaep on the squad, taking to Instagram to voice his opinion.

“Steelers go get him now or we gone look like the old Cleveland Browns he better than 70% of the. Q bs in the league let’s. Go. Steel city,” Snoop wrote in a caption featuring an image of Kaepernick.

We already know not to hold our breath on an NFL squad actually giving Kaep a shot but maybe the Steelers will shock the world.

Pittsburgh Steelers Remember Mac Miller’s Life At Sunday Game

Mac Miller

The Pittsburgh Steelers have paid some serious respect to the memory of late hometown rapper Mac Miller. This past weekend, the NFL team remembered his life during its home game.

According to reports, the Steelers had Mac’s music play throughout Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Steelers player James Conner wore a pair of cleats in Mac’s honor and shouted him out on Twitter.

Throughout the years, Miller has flexed his love for the Pittsburgh team.

Last week, reports claimed Mac’s music streams exploded following his shocking death.

Following the death of Mac Miller on Friday, on-demand streams of his music in the U.S. climbed by 970 percent, according to Nielsen Music. On Sept. 7, the hip-hop star’s catalog of songs earned 32.5 million streams (audio and video combined), up from 3.04 million on Sept. 6. Following nearly a full tracking week after his death, it’s expected that Miller’s catalog of songs and albums could impact Billboard’s charts next week (dated Sept. 22, reflecting the sales and streaming tracking week of Sept. 7-13).
