Twitter Is Going Wild Over ‘Captain Marvel’ Trailer As Expected #CaptainMarvel

Marvel Studios Fan Event

Source: Alberto E. Rodriguez / Getty

Tuesday morning (Sept. 18), Marvel unveiled the trailer for its upcoming Captain Marvel film starring Brie Larson in the role of Carol Danvers, featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury along with Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson. As expected, fans on Twitter are going wild over the trailer and are hoping the months fly by for Marvel Studio’s next big hit.

Set in the 1990s, the film isn’t really an origin story as Captain Marvel already has her powers due to genetic altering by the warrior alien race, the Kree. Marvel fans might know that the Kree and Skrulls, a shapeshifting alien race, are mortal enemies and their conflict figures into the film based on the trailer.

Jude Law also stars in the film as the apparent leader of the Kree Space Fleet, playing what we assume as being the powerful Mar-Vell but nothing has been revealed about the cast and plot details just yet.

The chatter on Twitter is high and heavy regarding Captain Marvel, and we’ve collected our favorites below.

No One Nose: Twitter Thinks SZA Got Herself A Fresh Nose Piece

2018 Songs of Hope Presented By Spotify

Source: Lester Cohen / Getty

SZA has long been considered one of the more glamorous singers of her generation, and she definitely cemented that fact on the red carpet at this year’s Grammy Awards. Despite her good looks, fans on Twitter suspect that the TDE songstress had surgery to alter her nose and the speculation is rampant.

Since last month fans have thought SZA has gone under the knife to make changes to her face but the singer hasn’t confirmed anything.

But new photos of SZA at City of Hope “Songs Of Hope” gala, where she won the first-ever “She Is The Music” honor, has fans wondering aloud if something’s changed about her face. To be fair, some fans are saying it’s just an over-the-top makeup contour while others are convinced it’s a brand new beak.

Check out the reactions below.

Dwyane Wade has given 16 seasons to the NBA as a member of the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, with many believing the 36-year-old shooting guard was going to call it a career this year. D Wade announced that he’s coming back to the Miami Heat for one last season and fans on Twitter are overjoyed.

The numbers speak for themselves. Wade has averaged over 22 points for his career with five assists, and nearly five rebounds a game. He is also a three-time NBA champion, an Olympic gold medalist, a 12-time NBA All-Star, and two-time All-NBA first team selection. Simply put, this man has played his heart out at every level.

But as every great player realizes, Father Time is undefeated and Wade’s time at the top has come to an end. Still, there’s some game left in the old man and he’s also been a fantastic ambassador for the sport as evidenced by the accolades from fans all over the world.

We’ve collected some of the responses to D Wade going for one last ride below.

Jay Electronica Wants Smoke With Eminem Over 2Pac-Connected Diddy Diss #JayElectronica

Angie Martinez Hosts Get Out And Vote Pre Election Rally

While the dust continues to settle after Eminem responded to Machine Gun Kellys “Rap Devil” with his pointed “Killshot” diss track, fans were quick to point out one curious part of the song. One line has Slim Shady insinuating that Sean “Diddy” Combs ordered a hit on Tupac “2Pac” Shakur during the late rapper’s feud with The Notorious B.I.G., which woke Jay Electronica from his ayurvedic slumber.

“Killshot, I will not fail, I’m with the Doc still/But this idiot’s boss pops pills and tells him he’s got skills/But, Kells, the day you put out a hit’s the day Diddy admits/That he put the hit out that got Pac killed,” Eminem rapped in “Killshot” which got Jay Electronica’s attention.

““[H]ow dare you accuse diddy of killing tupac while you completely look pass jimmy iovine and those who profited from his death the MOST. You best tread carefully Son, before i come tear your ivory tower down like Sulaiman done the Templar Knights. #ripProof,” Electronica wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

In another tweet connected to an Instagram video of the Hon. Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam in where he was trying to moderate the 50 Cent and Ja Rule beef, Jay said he had to get at Em over inserting himself in the middle.

“[R]emember this was the very video i had to check you on before for blaspheming the Minister in the midst of him trying to bring Jarule and 50 to peace. Tread carefully,” Jay Electronica warned.

It’s been a wild night of reactions on Twitter, and we’ve got the best we could find below.

Eminem Gets At Machine Gun Kelly With “Killshot,” Diddy Caught In Crossfire #KILLSHOT

With Eminem putting Machine Gun Kelly in his sights on his latest album Kamikaze, the Cleveland rapper responded with “Rap Devil” thus a rap beef was reborn. Now, Slim Shady has returned fire with his latest track “Killshot,” and the Internet is going nuts.

It’s too early to tell who has the upper hand on this one, but a lot has been going on after the track dropped online Friday afternoon (Sept. 14).  Check out some lines from “Killshot” below:

Got more fans than you in your own city, lil’ kiddy
Go play, feel like I’m babysitting Lil Tay
Got the Diddy okay so you spent your whole day
Shootin’ a video just to f*ckin’ dig your own grave
Got you at your own wake, I’m the billy goat
You ain’t never made a list next to no Biggie, no Jay

Yikes.

Diddy catches more shots after Em raps, “Killshot, I will not fail, I’m with the Doc still/But this idiot’s boss pops pills and tells him he’s got skills/But Kells, the day you put out a hit’s the day Diddy admits/That he put the hit out that got Pac killed, ah.”

Yeah. It’s on. That particular line got Jay Electronica to open his mystical sarcophagus and peek his head out to hit Twitter with a warning.

“how dare you accuse diddy of killing tupac while you completely look pass jimmy iovine and those who profited from his death the MOST. You best tread carefully Son, before i come tear your ivory tower down like Sulaiman done the Templar Knights. #ripProof,” Jay Elec-Hologram wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

Stay tuned for this one.

Twitter Destroys Sly Fox News Station’s Attempt To Slander Murder Victim #BothamJean

Amber Guyger Mugshot

Source: Kaufman County Jail / Kaufman County Jail

Fox News was definitely chomping at the bit to change the narrative of the story involving the shooting death of Black man Botham Jean at the hands of Dallas officer Amber Guyger. After the struggle news network published a smear article mentioning marijuana was found at Jean’s home, Twitter has been slandering Fox News with relentless fury.

For those who missed the story, Guyger entered the home of Jean mistakenly last week and fatally shot him. After posting $300,000 this past Sunday, Guyger is now facing manslaughter charges as the investigation rolls on. Rumors that the two knew each other outside of being neighbors have been shut down, but that hasn’t stopped the likes of Fox News saying that Jean wasn’t compliant during the encounter and mentioning the fact he had weed inside HIS apartment.

Twitter is doing an excellent job of showing Fox News just how ham-fisted and racist it is by mentioning the fact without pointing out that Guyger was in the wrong. Check out the reactions below.
