“We are absolutely thrilled to have Snoop, Ken, and their communities on board with the BIG3,” said BIG3 co-founder, Ice Cube. “Having someone with Ken’s knowledge and experience wanting to be a part of our league demonstrates that we are moving in the right direction. Snoop is an undisputed legend who has jumped headfirst into the Web3 space and clearly understands the importance and the value of what we are trying to create. Together, I know they will take Bivouac to new heights and we can’t wait to get started.”

Snoop and Howery purchased 25 Fire-Tier editions of Bivouac priced at $25,000 each. Meaning, the team’s stock was divided into blockchains for sale.

“The BIG3 is on the leading edge of enabling blockchain technology as utility,” said PayPal co-founder Ken Howery. “The league’s embrace of NFTs as ownership rights is both visionary and practical; key features of every smart investment.”

Howery and Snoop have some work to put in on The BIG3 as the Bivouac squad went winless last season due to injuries.

BIG3 is the official creator of the new global sport, FIREBALL3, the league is returning for its fifth season on June 18 with coverage live across CBS and Paramount+.

[WATCH] Ice Cube on The BIG3 “Ownership Is Important”

Ice Cube BIG3 2021 Champs Trilogy

Ice Cube, iconic revolutionary rapper, actor and executive producer turned basketball businessman co-founded a one of a kind 3-on-3 basketball league, the BIG3. Since 2017, the league has consisted of 12 teams that include former NBA players and international players.

BIG3’s unique brand of 3-on-3 basketball has developed greatly in 4 years. Closing out their fourth season, the final games were hosted on the Bahamas island. Ice Cube and the BIG3 invited the season’s top four teams to Atlantis, Paradise Island, to battle it out for the big trophy. The Source Magazine was outside to cover all the action first hand.

The BIG3 league is structured differently from what you’ve seen in the NBA. 3-on-3 teams, half-court 4-point shots and a ‘Bring the Fire’ rule are just some of the aspects that make this league distinctive and entertaining.

Equipped with skilled coaches from the NBA, WNBA, and your favorite ballers from all over the world, BIG3 delivers an energy and reach far beyond a typical game of pick up.

Ice Cube and partner Jeff Kwatinetz along with league’s commissioner Clyde Drexler have secured greater sponsorship deals with Taco Bell and Triller and have amassed larger audiences with each season.

In an exclusive interview with Ice Cube, we dive into why ownership is important for minorities. Also discussed what ball players he feels are great rappers and more.

Check out some photos from the event below. Surprise appearances from 2/3 of the LOX and Flavor Flav added to the excitement of the winning team.

SOURCE SPORTS: Ice Cube’s BIG3 League Partners with Triller for Fourth Season

Big3 Triller Ice Cube

Triller wants to expand in sports, and in an effort of doing so, the social media company partnered with Ice Cube’s Big3 basketball league.

According to CNBC, the deal’s specifics haven’t been made public yet, but BIG3 and Triller will share advertising revenue earned from events, and this year, Triller will host BIG3’s first-ever all-star game.

“There’s nothing as fun and fast in sports as BIG3 basketball, and once you watch one game, you’ll be hooked,” said Triller co-owner Ryan Kavanaugh in a statement. “We are excited to partner with Ice Cube and the BIG3 organization to bring this exciting and growing sport to Triller audiences around the world.”

Triller will also feature 30 hours of exclusive content around the league, including a draft on June 14.

Hip-hop and film icon Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz, started the BIG3 in 2017.

BIG3 is a traveling circuit league and features former National Basketball Association stars playing in a three-on-three style format in the summer. Participants of the league usually earn roughly $10,000 per game plus bonuses that are tied to winning. Salaries can reach up to $100,000.

Ice Cube and Kwatinetz said in a joint statement, the deal allows BIG3 to expand its reach to the Generation Z (ages six through 24) audience. They said the agreement is a “perfect combination of sports and entertainment for that demographic.” Last year, BIG3 made changes to its game structure before the pandemic canceled its 2020 season. The BIG3 will enter its fourth season and will start a 10-week season on July 10 in Las Vegas.

Ice Cube Talks New Album ‘Everythang’s Corrupt’ and Kevin Hart on ‘Sway in the Morning’

LA legend Ice Cube passes through Sway In The Morning and talks his first new solo studio album in eight years, the excellent 16–track Everythang’s Corrupt released on Lench Mob and Interscope Records last week. The 56-minute long release features notable collaborations with fellow West Coast legend Too $hort, producer DJ Pooh, Magnedo7, Fredwreck, Shameia Crawford plus more. The album’s controversial second single “Arrest The President” produced by ShawnSki was released early last month, before the most recent single “That New Funkadelic” produced by T-Mixx dropped earlier this month.

Previously to this project in 2017, Cube released a 25th Anniversary edition of his 1991 classic Death Certificate album which featured three new songs including “Only One Me,” “Dominate The Weak” and the also included “Good Cop, Bad Cop” that also featured in the first official trailer to the movie The Happytime Murders. While in the SiriusXM Shade 45 studio with Sway and Heather B, Ice Cube talks all things music business, politics, Hollywood and the recent Kevin Hart situation.

Ice Cube has kept extremely busy away from the microphone since 2010, acting and producing in numerous movies and TV shows including Are We There Yet?, 21 Jump Street, Ride Along, the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton and more. Early last year Ice Cube announced the beginnings of the BIG3 3-on-3 basketball league with longtime collaborator and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz that has proved to be highly successful already after only two seasons now broadcast on Fox.

Ice Cube last week dropped two live spoken word performance interpretations from his album on his Vevo YouTube Channel, “Fire Water” and “Chase Down The Bully,” showcasing his lyrical and rapping ability is still razor-sharp 25 years into the game since breaking through with his former C.I.A. group before the N.W.A legacy.
