Just felt right. Destiny put the name in my path and I took it.

We notice your style is super original and more on the hardcore aggressive side. Let us know how your style if different than all the rap artists out there!

It’s different in a way that has never been heard before due to strict studying of the musical art and everything it has to offer. Not just music but life itself. to know more is to know the subject you wish to master.

Do you remember the day/time when you realized you wanted to become an Hip Hop artist? Was there and special person in your life that influenced you to become an Hip Hop artist?

When I was 13 I seen my older cousin freestyle at a party. Raping bout the good ole down south vibes you know the lean in the styrofoam cup in one hand and a blunt in the other gold grills Cadillac’s. Basically my Mans was free-styling and me a kid who never thought my family had musical ability like that felt tremendously impressed and inspired seeing my cousin rap like that. He also already had a few songs that he made on his MySpace account that he did at his uncles studio and man let me tell you I ducking loved those songs. Classics in my book.

How does social media playing a role in your success? How are fans/supporters helping your movement?

It plays a huge role. That’s how I get out there mostly. And fans and supporters are always here helping they just don’t know it yet or they are already riding the wave. But of course if not for the fans and supporters then an artist would be nowhere.

$tar$eed – “And The Universe Said…” (Album Review)

Dallas, TX based artist $tar$seed drops his 1st project titled “And The Universe Said” and from 1st glance the illusions of the cover art made me want to listen and inner-stand this artist even more. So many symbolic elements literally screaming at you making up a full picture, you began to question yourself is the picture  moving or is it all an illusions? As we dive into the the mind of $tar$eed we begin with the introduction “The Mass of Israel Reyna” I had to listen to the audio carefully and it was talking about the abundance you find in failure and how death can bring you many more fruits of life which is the only way to become a true master of perception.

The production in “Tell Morrison The Sun arrived” is unique and I feel it can thrive in a niche audiences, the intro was raw and light all at the same time what listeners have o understand is Hip-Hop came from punk music so the love for uniqueness has always been embraced. The mixing factor of this album is grunge and gritty like her recorded it right out of the garage. It’s one thing to fake it till you make and another when you completely transcend how you feel to audio & visual media. “A profit of the Universe” was a very cleaver concept as the artist flipped the meaning to fit his story which is artistry here. I would like to see how $$ translates his audio into music videos.

“excalibur” reminded me of the Jackal & Hyde concept as it was the serious message mixed with the laughter and melodies of a child. Over time $$ will continue to grow and become a complete artist as his delivery is not the easiest to understand which will tighten with Experience and concern.”Holy Blues Prt 1″ was a chaotic mess I was lost with this one still has that same vibe punk rock. “Meet the Devils Kids” was very Halloween horror like, I actually really liked this song from the lyrics to the production it was extremely melodic mixed in with that signature chaos. “Hitler” was a spine tickle as it felt spooky at the into and completely turned up. $$ went in on his verses in the song “Hitler” it was really good I could even hear the words oppose to other songs.

“America Fallout” was about just that , it was a artistic expression of how America was the opposite of evolution which in terms devolves the the spirit instead of uplifts which can also be done with pain and darkness. “Holy Blues Prt 2” “We are not animals or aliens we are holy !! We are Gods”!!! This is is great way to end the album showing that duality side of $tar$Seed as we wind down his project. If you would like to stay updated with “$tar $eed follow him on social media and be on the look out for more music and visuals.

$tar$eed – “I Am Everything” (Album Review)

Hailing from the home of the chopped and screwed, Dallas-native $tar$eed is ready to take his act from the Lone Star to the world. A unique blend of off-beat rhymes over or under unorthodox self-production, accompanied by a clever stage name. The young hopeful embodies everything it takes to become a breakout star in 2019 and we receive glimpses of it on $tar$eed’s new album, I Am Everything.

I Am Everything is a ten-track debut effort by the rising star. A collective of fresh music that introduces the world to his bonafide Hip Hop star. $tar$eed briefly describes the project using a designer drug reference, “A rap album that is something of an LSD trip combined with DMT.”

Stream I Am Everything now, courtesy of Spotify.

Confidently produced by $tar$eed, the project’s production carries both originality and self-development. Rough, rowdy, distorted, the new artist proves he has a lot to learn behind the boards but simultaneously showcases sparks of creativity with unfamiliar combinations of sounds. Among the ten tracks, the Dallas star finds himself drowning due to oversaturating, overcompensating, and overwhelming sounds. Leading to confusion on the genre the rising star is playing for, Rock or Hip Hop.

Emo rap is easily identifiable as $tar$eed style. Artistic, different, but difficult to execute. Throughout the project, it’s clear the message and attitude that $tar is eager to get across; however, he is plagued with wrong notes, screeching pitches, and indescribable wordplay. Chaos and anarchy may be his approach but his execution definitely could use some work on the next outing.

Honestly, I Am Everything is an acquired taste for most. It delivers a style of Hip Hop that is only being explored right now and not adored yet by both fans or artists. A small few are successful with the new art and still produces a disconnect with its misunderstanding content. Not to say $tar$eed’s debut is bad but it can definitely use some tweaks before the forthcoming follow-up.
