Steven Victor Says Kanye Has Begun Working On ‘Donda 2’

Kanye West Reportedly Earned $7 Million From 'DONDA' Merch

Just months after releasing his 10th studio album DONDA, Ye is already working on a follow up to the hip-hop/gospel album.

Pusha-T’s manager and former COO of G.O.O.D. Music, Steven Victor, told Complex that Kanye is currently working on a sequel to his DONDA album. “Ye has started working on his new masterpiece DONDA 2,” Victor said.

News of this comes just a week after a video surfaced online of Ye in the studio with Scarface.

Ye is notorious for name changes and unreleased albums. If this is true, and if Kanye does call his upcoming album DONDA 2, it will be the first time we’ve gotten a sequel album from Ye.

Victor did not go into details about the specifics of the album, other than calling it a masterpiece. It is unknown whether Ye will be experimenting with new sounds, or if the second installment will be a feature studded spectacle like its predecessor. Maybe the rollout will be just as hectic and inventive as the rollout for DONDA. Hopefully, now that Kanye and Drake have made amends, we will get a song or songs from the two together

Steven Victor Alludes to a Second Posthumous Pop Smoke Album

Pop Smoke's Debut Album Reportedly Aims for No. 1 on Billboard Hot 200 8 Months After Passing

There’s new Pop Smoke on the way

Former Pop Smoke manager Steven Victor took to Twitter yesterday to announce that we’re getting another album from the late rapper. While he did not provide any information on the album, he also announced that Pusha-T’s follow-up to 2018’s Daytona will be releasing as well as Nigo’s first project in over 20 years.

However, this is not the first time Steven Victor has teased another Pop Smoke album. Last summer, around the time Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon released, Victor began teasing a second album. A Twitter user mentioned Victor in a tweet, asking if we were going to get any more classics from Pop Smoke. Victor then responded “There will be,” before naming off a list of producers that will be featured on it.

Virgil Abloh Says His Cover Design Was Inspired by a Conversation with Pop Smoke

The first posthumous Pop Smoke album is set to drop on Friday and Virgil Abloh had the honor of doing the cover, but the fans think he fumbled. After the cover was destroyed on Twitter, Smoke’s manager Steven Victor said he will change the cover because the late rapper would listen to fans.

Now, Virgil has hit Instagram and revealed the inspiration for his design.

“The last conversation I had with @realpopsmoke was about what we were gonna do in the future. This album cover was one of like 5 things we talked about,” said Virgil. “He mentioned his story felt like the metaphor of a rose & thorns growing from the concrete of his hood in Canarsie, Brooklyn. In your memory, I just finished it yesterday.”

Is that a good enough reason for you? Should his design be the cover art with these details? Let us know below.
