NYPD Requests Casanova, Pop Smoke, Don Q, 22GZ, and Sheff G to be Removed from Inaugural Rolling Loud New York Festival

Rolling Loud came to New York last weekend for the first time. The Hip Hop police took what they felt were necessary precautions to ensure that it was a safe and enjoyable weeked.

The lineup includes Wu-Tang Clan, Travis Scott, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, DMX, Fat Joe, Playboi Carti, YG, Gunna, Trippie Redd, DaBaby, Blueface, Sheck Wes, Juice WRLD, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Young Thug, Pusha T, Action Bronson, Denzel Curry, Megan Thee Stallion, Rico Nasty, Dave East, Saweetie, Melii, Jay Critch, Young M.A, Maliibu Miitch, $uicideboy$, Conway the Machine, Kemba, City Morgue, Anik Khan, Curren$y, Pardison Fontaine, Kash Doll, Smoke DZA, Wale, Desiigner, Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Tjay, Lil Skies, Moneybag Yo, and many more.

The organizers said not to expect Lil Uzi Vert on Sunday, but they didn’t announce not to expect majority of the New York rappers on the bill.

Two Bees TV obtained documents from the NYPD intended for the listed acts banning them from the show they were all scheduled to perform at. Casanova, Pop Smoke, Don Q, Sheff G, and 22 GZ have all been removed from the lineup per NYPD request.

The reason stated in the document is they’re “affiliated with recent acts of violence citywide. The New York City Police Department believes if these individuals are allowed to perform, there will be a higher risk of violence.”

Were you looking forward to seeing NY rappers take the stage at Rolling Loud NY?

YG and Mustard pulled up on the stage and showed the East Coast how the West Coast gives it up. He ran through a slew of his hits including “Who Do You Love?”, “FDT”, “Go Loko”, and “Big Bank.” For his performance of “Stop Snitching” he couldn’t help but put Tekashi 6ix9ine on the big screen, who is scheduled to testify against his co-defendants in his upcoming trial.

He even brought out Casanova who told the crowd just how Brooklyn he really is.

When Meek Mill and Future took the stage the concert turned up to another level because there were back-to-back surprise performances. DJ Khaled, Fabolous, Yo Gotti, 21 Savage, and Pop Smoke all took the stage and gave fans a legendary show.

Meek Mill Teases ‘Welcome to the Party’ Remix

Pop Smoke’s breakthrough hit, “Welcome to the Party” is about to receive the remix treatment by Meek Mill.

The Philadelphia rapper teased his rendition to the song on his Instagram story Friday night. “You know my body I’m really this rich / You know them scammers that’s crackin’ them cards? / Tell ’em I need a Birkin for my b—h,” Meek rapped on the 808 Melo-produced beat.

The Brooklyn rapper reposted Meek’s IG story on his own story. The Dream Chaser head honcho has a reputation of embracing the young emcees on the come up. In 2014, he brought Bobby Shmurda out to Miami when “Hot N*gga” went viral. So it won’t be surprising if he does the same with Pop.

New York’s very own Nicki Minaj, Dave East, and Casanova have all teased their respective remixes to the buzzing record. But who do you think is going to have the hottest version?

It’s going to be interesting to compare Nicki’s to Meek Mill’s own because they’re exes and who doesn’t enjoy good ‘ole ex rivalry? Especially if it’s in the booth.

Pop Smoke Previews Nicki Minaj & YG ‘Welcome to the Party’ Remix at NYC Listening Party

TIDAL hosted a listening party in celebration of Pop Smoke’s debut project, Welcome to the Woo Wednesday night in NYC.

The Brooklyn rapper connected with his fans in-person as he sang some songs off the 9-track mixtape which was released last week Friday, July 26th. Fans sang along to some of their favorite singles including, “Hawk Em” and “Dior,” but there were two surprises that had the jam-packed SNS Bar go crazy.

DJ Boof previewed the official “Welcome to the Party” (Remix) featuring New York’s own, Nicki Minaj. As soon as the Queens rapper spit, “You gon’ pop? Who the f–k want smoke?” The crowd went wild!

But that wasn’t the only remix that was previewed at the listening event. Apparently, the West Coast is welcomed to the party because YG did his own remix to the buzzing record. This was a dope move because YG is Blood and Pop Smoke is reppin’ Crip, so the remix united both gangs and Coasts.

If you don’t know who the Pop is, there’s a chance that you might have heard his song while cruising down the New York streets. He just received two major co-signs from a New York legend, and West Coast heavyweight. Be prepared to hear more from him in the future.

Which version do you like better?
