WATCH: Casanova & Giggs Link Up in London For “Live” Music Video

Following an unfortunate connection to that now-infamous Tekashi 6ix9ine case, Casanova is moving on and upwards with his career by prepping us for his upcoming album Behind These Scars with a new single that features UK rapper Giggs.

Directed by burgeoning creative Mollana Burke, the music video for “Live” gives a black & white look into the struggles that both MCs have faced during their respective come-ups in the game. Set in the Peckham district of South London, the scenes deal with issues that many inner city residents around the world face on a daily: poverty, spousal drama, childcare woes, maintaining a stable household and ultimately finding religion — the latter issue we see Cas and Giggs uniting to discover in the end.

Watch the music video for Casanova and Giggs’ collaborative cut “Live” above, and look out for the Brooklyn-bred rapper’s new album, Behind These Scars, to drop on October 11.

Warren G Turns Up The Bass To Show He’s Still Regulating 25 Years Later

Twenty-five years ago this month, Warren G unleashed an album that had a hand in saving Def Jam Records through a commercial drought season. The Long Beach, California MC/producer/DJ may have been wrongfully overlooked at Death Row Records, but the “G” in G-Child may have stood for “Golden” at Russell Simmons’ New York City-based imprint, especially with the late Chris Lighty in his corner. Regulate… G Funk Era made a star out of the soft-spoken band-mate of Snoop and Nate Dogg. “Regulate” was a dominant “Regulate” anthem throughout ’94, a collaborate with Nate. First on Tha Row’s Above The Rim soundtrack, later on his own LP, Dr. Dre’s younger step-brother showed that he had what it takes to be a crossover star, without compromising his LBC roots. A Lost Track Featuring Snoop & Dr. Dre Helped Launch Warren G’s G-Funk Era (Audio) As far of his “Bass & Bars” series, bassist Brady Watt gets Warren to breakout his double-platinum hit which nearly topped the charts. Although the original song was laid back, Warren tones it down even further with Watt’s beat-creation. What’s more, years after Nate’s passing, Brady pays tribute to the song’s other vocal half with his fingers on the strings. Catch other memorable “Bass & Bars” episodes starring B-Real, Pharoahe Monch, MC Eiht, and Murs. Watt is also a member of DJ Premier’s Badder Band.
