Stripper Who Fell Off 15′ Pole Announces Retirement

Genea Sky stripper

The exotic dancer that went viral after falling 15-feet from a pole before continuing her routine has officially retired.

According to TMZ, Genea Sky is no longer going to be stripping after the viscous fall, because her fall and the injuries she suffered have her scared to step on stage again. Dubbed as the “bounce back stripper” Sky went viral after she crashed face-first from the pole and barely missed a beat — twerking on the flashing floor despite the horrific fall.

The short clip, which has racked up millions of views on social media since Sunday, doesn’t capture the injuries that Genea Sky described later during her live video via Instagram. According to a tearful Sky she suffered broken teeth, a sprained ankle, stitches, and a busted jaw that needed surgery.

“I’m going to be okay,” she said. “It’s just a really humbling experience to just be alive.”

After the terrifying clip went viral, a GoFundMe page was launched to assist in funding her recovery shined the light on a broader reality that strip club dancers often treated as “contractors” without rights to workers’ compensation, health-care benefits and other protections afforded to employees. According to the Washington Post, the friend behind the fundraiser revealed that the strip club that employed Sky would not cover her medical costs fo her injuries due to the incident putting her out of work for “an extended period of the time.”

Eric Langan, the CEO of RCI Hospitality Holding Inc., which owns XTC Cabaret in Dallas, told TMZ states that strip clubs are not liable for dancers injuries because they create and choreograph their own routines before noting that he did not tell her to climb the pole and the club has no plans to remove them; but Langan says they are planning to help Sky financially as she recovers.

As Sky’s injuries draw attention online, the aspiring beautician has assured people that she is recovering. On Monday, she posted a picture of herself in a hospital bed, eyes closed and giving a thumbs-up: Her jaw was wired shut, she said, but the surgery had gone well.

“It has been a very long day. My surgery went well. My jaw is currently wired shut so please refrain from calling me as of right now and bare with me on replies because my phone hasn’t stopped blowing up,” Genea Sky wrote. “Everyone’s love & kind words have not gone unnoticed whatsoever and it means so much to me that all of you have blessed me and uplifted me in so many ways. I am overwhelmed in the best way by all the support. I was really nervous as this all started blowing up because people are cruel and this is a very sensitive time for me. But I never imagined so many people would stand behind me in a situation like this and that has outweighed all the negativity by far. I am beyond grateful for you all. I am in a tremendous amount of pain but i am ready for this road to recovery so I can get back to my life. I will continue to update everyone over the course of my recovery but thank you once again for EVERYTHING 🙏🏽

TX. Stripper Who Fell Off Pole Says She Never Wants To Dance Again

After a death-defying, almost 20-foot fall, a Texas exotic dancer has decided to hang up her clear heels forever.

According to reports from those close to Genea Sky, the stripper who came crashing down to the dance stage from just mere feet from the ceiling of the XTC Gentlemen’s Club in Dallas, has decided to end her career in exotic dancing. It’s being said that the fall and her injuries have scared Sky from ever wanting to dance again.

As previously reported, Sky fell almost 20 feet to the stage, breaking her jaw and spraining her ankle.

The ironic part is that since the accident, Genea has received numerous offers from around the country to dance in strip clubs and music videos, but Sky says she wants none of the attention.

Sky has appeared in several music videos, including G-Eazy’s “No Limit” (Remix) video.

Judge Rules Out Civil Lawsuit From Family Of Botham Jean

Funeral Held For Botham Shem Jean, Who Was Killed By Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger When She Entered Wrong Apartment

Source: Stewart F. House / Getty

While the family of Botham Jean has managed some small steps towards justice after former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger took the 26-year-old’s life, a civil lawsuit that was launched won’t go forward. A federal judge ruled out the civil lawsuit filed by the family, citing that the city was not responsible for Jean’s death.

The sobering news came on Monday when U.S. District Judge Barbara Lynn dismissed the suit, taking into account a magistrate judge’s decision to dismiss the civil suit based on a lack of connecting the city to Guyger’s actions. The explosive and controversial case caught plenty of media attention due to Guyger’s actions of entering Jean’s apartment then shooting him dead.

The family’s civil suit stated that better training by the city’s police department could have prevented the killing of Jean. Back in October, Guyger was given a 10-year sentence and several members of the Jean family forgave Guyger for the crime.

In a video clip and related images that went viral, the brother of Jean hugged Guyger in court and the pair stayed in a tearful embrace for several moments. Many on Twitter found that the family was far too forgiving.

Adding to the developments that transpired, a neighbor of Jean and a key witness in Guyger’s trial was shot dead in the same week that Guyger received the relatively light sentence. Some have alleged that the incidents were connected in relationship to Guyger’s trial, although the verdict was handed in before Joshua Brown’s death.

Suspected White Supremacist Caught Bloody Fade After Tossing Bottle At Truck

Boss Man Banks Viral Video White Supremacist

Source: Boss Man Banks / Twitter

A man suspected of being a white supremacist learned a valuable lesson in minding one’s own business, this after a viral video showed him bloodied in the face after tossing a bottle at a truck. To add insult to injury, the man was forced to clean the truck he flung the bottle towards.

Details are scant but a Twitter user and rapper by the name of Boss Man Banks recorded the incident and posted in on his timeline on July 20. What can be determined is that Boss Man’s cousin’s truck was the target of the alleged pro-white struggle bottle flinger, and video shows the man bleeding from the face as he cleans up the truck.

Boss Man Banks, as most folks are doing these days, took time to promote his music but to also stand up for our Mexican brother and sisters who have been the target of President Donald Trump’s hate, tagging the former business mogul in a Twitter string which garnered the usual response from the MAGA crowd. It isn’t known if Boss Man Banks is Mexican himself, what with him using the n-word at a rapid rate and all.

Even if the white dude isn’t a racist, this is living proof that you don’t start beef you can’t finish.

Check out the tweet below. A Warning: The video is graphic and features profanity which could be disturbing to some.

$tar$eed – “I Am Everything” (Album Review)

Hailing from the home of the chopped and screwed, Dallas-native $tar$eed is ready to take his act from the Lone Star to the world. A unique blend of off-beat rhymes over or under unorthodox self-production, accompanied by a clever stage name. The young hopeful embodies everything it takes to become a breakout star in 2019 and we receive glimpses of it on $tar$eed’s new album, I Am Everything.

I Am Everything is a ten-track debut effort by the rising star. A collective of fresh music that introduces the world to his bonafide Hip Hop star. $tar$eed briefly describes the project using a designer drug reference, “A rap album that is something of an LSD trip combined with DMT.”

Stream I Am Everything now, courtesy of Spotify.

Confidently produced by $tar$eed, the project’s production carries both originality and self-development. Rough, rowdy, distorted, the new artist proves he has a lot to learn behind the boards but simultaneously showcases sparks of creativity with unfamiliar combinations of sounds. Among the ten tracks, the Dallas star finds himself drowning due to oversaturating, overcompensating, and overwhelming sounds. Leading to confusion on the genre the rising star is playing for, Rock or Hip Hop.

Emo rap is easily identifiable as $tar$eed style. Artistic, different, but difficult to execute. Throughout the project, it’s clear the message and attitude that $tar is eager to get across; however, he is plagued with wrong notes, screeching pitches, and indescribable wordplay. Chaos and anarchy may be his approach but his execution definitely could use some work on the next outing.

Honestly, I Am Everything is an acquired taste for most. It delivers a style of Hip Hop that is only being explored right now and not adored yet by both fans or artists. A small few are successful with the new art and still produces a disconnect with its misunderstanding content. Not to say $tar$eed’s debut is bad but it can definitely use some tweaks before the forthcoming follow-up.
Ranking: 7/10

DRussellAmerica – “Reminiscing” (Single Review)

Dallas own DRussellAmerica is a rising star best known for his latest effort, “F*ck Tomorrow”. As Texas is known for its lucrative independence, the new artist is another prime example of creating his own success regionally as a small cult-like following energizing his sound. Today, we get the latest visual in support of the new single, titled, “Reminiscing”.

Heavily influenced by the hit film, The First Purge (2018), “Reminiscing” shows society’s dark side as it rejoices in the one-day of freedom. Introducing DRussellAmerica to the world on a nationwide landscape. Originally released in late-2018, the trending visual has been featured on popular outlets like WorldStar Hip Hop and has received over 70,000 plays on YouTube.

Watch “Reminiscing” by DRussellAmerica below.

Simplistic but effective, the track’s production follows hitmaking protocol with a signature southern draw of trunk-rattling bass and a layered clap. The bounce is familiar but isn’t annoying as it plays out with appealing volume. Playing it safe was an easy move but worthy of a promising follow up.

Production aside, the rising star’s lyricism is selective, keyworded, and repetitive. Majority boasting and bragging, “Reminiscing” does type cast DRussellAmerica as a party act to be enjoyed but not taken seriously. Perfect for the summertime vibe, DRussellAmerica executes the perfect sound at exactly the perfect time.

Style, brash, and appealing, DRussellAmerica is rowdy but an undeniable new artist. “Reminiscing” is a riot starter but it delivers that feel-good vibe that today’s Hip Hop consumers have grown accustomed too. While the track won’t survive the summer, it will prolong the artist’s popularity and propelled him from the underground to the minor leagues.

Ratings: 8/10
