As part of their ongoing multi-year partnership with NBA legend Allen Iverson, Viola, the premier Black-owned producer and licensed reseller of premium cannabis products will release limited amounts of their latest strain. Iverson will attend meet-and-greets with customers at five cannabis shops in the metro Detroit region this Friday and Saturday to help promote the launch.
“I’m excited to continue the partnership with my brother Al and bring our newest strain to Detroit,” said Iverson. “Everything I do is for the fans, and this is no different.”
IVERSON 01,’ an indica-dominant Detroit grown hybrid, is a cross of F1 Durban, Gushers, and Runtz. The pre-rolled and packed flower will be sold at a number of dispensaries throughout the state.
Iverson will appear at a handful of dispensaries in support of the launch, starting with Bazonzoes in Walled Lake at 3 p.m. on Friday, followed by 3Fifteen Cannabis in Hamtramck at 5 p.m., and Herbology in River Rouge at 6:45 p.m. On Saturday, he’ll be at Skymint in Hazel Park at 1 p.m. and Liv in Ferndale at 2:15 p.m.
“We’re excited to launch IVERSON in the Michigan market with 70+ valued partners. Although we would’ve loved to visit every location, with scheduling we had to narrow it down to a handful. We look forward to everyone trying ‘01 and meeting Chuck and I at the in-stores” said Viola CEO, Al Harrington.

With the new Reebok Origins Pack hitting shelves featuring new signature Allen Iverson sneakers, the brand is announcing they will cover all the college application fees for the rising senior class of Bethel High School. Iverson is a graduate of the school and the rising graduating class is 400 students.
AI states the trek from high school to college was a valuable part of allowing him to strive for the pinnacle of sports and culture. The Origins Pack made for the perfect moment to celebrate that transitional period of The Answer’s life and give the next generation the same opportunity.

A little less than a day after Allen Iverson reported $500,000 worth of jewelry was stolen, the thief turned himself in.
Multiple outlets reported that the culprit was a tall, slim man in his early twenties. Philadelphia’s ABC 6 Action News reports Christoper Daniel, 21, decided to spare himself further embarrassment and surrender.
Daniel admitted that he stole the bag that was reportedly left unattended in a hotel lobby, but returned all the items. It’s unclear what he’ll be charged with but he’s definitely facing some theft charges.
It was reported that Allen Iverson wasn’t even at the hotel at the time of the robbery.

A 21-year-old Philadelphia man is facing multiple charges after he attempted to lift $500,000 worth in jewelry from Allen Iverson. Christopher Daniel was seen in images lifting a backpack filled with the goods and later turned himself in.
Local outlet WPVI reports that Daniel confessed to stealing the bag on Monday (Jan. 27) that was left by a member of Iverson’s entourage in the lobby of the Sofitel Hotel in Philly’s Center City section that morning. The NBA legend was staying at the location but was not present during the time of the theft.
It isn’t known if footage of the thievery was made public thus leading to Daniel turning himself in, but a statement from Iverson’s spokesperson was issued on Tuesday (Jan. 28) thanking police for the swift turnaround according to Fox News.
“As of today, the jewelry that was stolen from Allen Iverson has been found and the suspect has been apprehended,” read the statement. “Allen thanks the Philadelphia Police Department along with the people of Philadelphia for their support in this matter. Thank you.”
It isn’t known how much time Daniel faces thus far.

Reebok is dropping the Question Mid Double Cross, a shoe that pays homage to the red and blue colorways of Allen Iverson‘s now classic first signature sneaker.

As part of the release, Reebok also announced Crossover U, an all-day workshop series that goes down Oct. 25 in NYC and is led by five creatives by A.I.’s impact on culture. Iverson’s influence on and off the court will be explored by experiential education with its partners; stylist Matthew Henson, artist and designer Gianni Lee, jewelry designer Martine Ali, photographer Quil Lemons and hairstylist Guingui. Enrollment is open to the public from October 10 – October 17 on Reebok.com/US/Crossover_U, where you can also find an overview of the Crossover U.
As for the Question Mid Double Cross, it’s out tomorrow at limited retailers and will cost you $150. However, the shoe will be available worldwide on October 23 on Reebok.com and select retailers. The pair is asymmetric with the left shoe being the blue-toe version while the right is the red-toe version of the kicks AI rocked his rookie year. There’s also a “96” on the left blue sock liner, a “97” on the right red sock liner along with the Hexalite cushioning in the midsole and the clear ice-blue sole.
