Spread love it’s the Brooklyn way. The NBA franchise that holds down the home of many Hip-Hop legends, namely The Notorious B.I.G. is showing love to the late great this season. The Brooklyn Nets City Edition uniforms will be edged in a print similar to the Coogi sweaters that were a trademark of Big Poppa’s 90’s style.
The trim of the jerseys carries a multi-color print, reminiscent of the iconic sweaters, while the rest of the jersey will be black and have white lettering and numbers. The uniform currently does not have a date for release to the public or when D’Angelo Russell and the crew will wear them on the court but keep your eyes peeled.
Biggie Smalls isn’t the only music icon that will be celebrated on the hardwood of the NBA this season, the Minnesota Timberwolves will show love to hometown legend Prince with their city-edition threads. Check out the jersey dedicated to The Notorious B.I.G. below.
