UPDATE: Gucci Mane, Lil Pump & Smokepurpp Officially Create Gucci Gang Rap Group For Coachella ’19

Gucci Mane

Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane and Coachella are getting the last laugh. The hip-hop veteran is reportedly performing alongside rap rookies Lil Pump and Smokepurpp as Gucci Gang at this spring’s Coachella music festival.

Smokepurpp hopped on Instagram Thursday (January 3) to break the news to followers.

Earlier in the day, reports went viral about Coachella possibly botching Gucci’s name on its 2019 line-up poster.

There’s a major typo on Coachella’s website right now, which calls the Atlanta rapper “Gang” instead of “Mane.” The error, which was published in the lineup announcement Wednesday night and hasn’t been fixed yet, threw a lot of music fans for a loop — namely, having them wonder … who the hell is Gucci Gang??? (TMZ)

This spring, hip-hop star Childish Gambino is set to headline alongside music heavyweights Ariana Grande and Tame Impala.

Yesterday, reports emerged about rap star Kanye West pulling out of Coachella over a set design dispute.

Kanye made it clear he wouldn’t perform on a traditional 60×40 foot stage because it was “artistically limiting.” Goldenvoice, which produces the festival, would not allow the stage to be altered or removed for Ye’s performance. In the end, we’re told Kanye passed. A Kanye source says after the Saint Pablo tour, Ye wants to give groundbreaking performances. As you know, the Saint Pablo stage moved over the crowd, and Kanye loved it. (TMZ)
