Pardon the pun but Future is providing for our future. The Atlanta rapper is set to support several students trying to advance their education.

Last week the Trap legend paid a visit to Columbia High School in Atlanta. He and his artist Guap Tarantino surprised undergraduates with an unscheduled performance, specially designed merch and a check for $10,000 in the school’s name. The vibes must have inspired Future as he will continue to pay his blessings forward with a new initiative that will coincide with his new “Legendary Nights” tour.

Prospective students around the country can now enter to win a college scholarship in the amount of $2000.00 via his FreeWishes College Scholarship. 17 scholarships will be awarded in total and gifted at each tour stop. Along with the scholarship, lucky recipients will also receive 2 tickets to the Legendary Nights Tour and an exclusive “I Am A Dreamer” sweatshirt.
Students interested in applying for the grant must follow FreeWishes’ social media feed (@freewishesfoundation) and submit a 500 word essay detailing “How Receiving This Scholarship Would Be A Dream Come True” to [email protected] by noon of each tour date. For more information you can visit FreeWishes.org.

Earlier this year T.I.‘s sister Antoinette “Precious” Harris Chapman passed away and now the rapper is honoring her legacy with a new scholarship program. Partnering with VH1 and the United Negro College Fund, T.I. announced the Precious Chapman Scholarship Fund during the annual Dear Mama: A Love Letter To Mama ceremony.

“My sister Precious was a single mother, who worked to make life better for her children and everyone she encountered,” he said, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. “In the spirit of that, we are awarding a deserving student a scholarship in my sister’s name.” The site reports that this year’s $25,000 prize went to Tierani Scott, who is a single mother and junior at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas.

May Precious rest in peace.

DJ Clark Kent is paying his blessings forward. He is offering students opportunities to pursue their passions in the arts.

As reported by HOT 97 the esteemed producer is launching a scholarship program aimed at providing financial assistance to overachievers currently enrolled in school. The initiative is in partnership with Yellowbrick, which will help students “who are passionate about areas like fashion, sports, beauty, or sneakers to pursue rewarding career opportunities that can spark their interest and open doors to a fulfilling future.”

The project is apart of NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, which provides a comprehensive overview of the inner workings of the music business and related career paths. Clark detailed his participation in an official video trailer. “It is important for me to give back to the youth because as cliché as it may sound; the youth are the future. I believe that if we give them good tools to handle the future then we are doing our part in doing the right thing.”
