Will Smith and Jason Derulo Gift 14 Year Old Cancer Patient With a Playstation 5

The second season of Will Smith’s Snapchat series, Will From Home, is here and he’s kicking it off with a bang.

The 52-year-old tapped Jason Derulo for the premiere episode where they virtually traveled to Fort Worth, Texas to surprise 14-year-old Aiden, who was diagnosed with cancer in April.

Aiden’s father, Chuck, reached out to Will when he was researching different ways to comfort his son since he can’t physically be with him as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Derulo taught the father-son duo some new dance moves before surprising Aiden with a Playstation 5. In addition, the Fresh Prince and Derulo made a $10,000 donation to the Cook Children’s Medical Center, where Aiden gets his treatments.

The whole concept of Will From Home is to celebrate real-life heroes for their bravery and selflessness.

Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled, Lil Nas X, and Ludacris will also appear during this season of Will From Home.

HHW Gaming: Insomniac Games Drops Even More Details On ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man: Mile Morales’

'Spider-Man: Miles Morales' Will Be As Big As 'Uncharted: Lost Legacy'

Source: Insomniac Games / PlayStation

There were many games shown during Sony’s big PS5 reveal event, but Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales stole the show. Now we are getting even more details about the highly anticipated game.

We already know that when Miles Morales finally dons the infamous black and red Spider-Man costume and swings into action the PS5, it won’t be an add-on but his own stand-alone adventure. Today (Jun.18) on PlayStation’s blog, Brian Horton, Creative Director at Insomniac Games, dropped even more juicy tidbits about the studio’s upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive.

In the post, Horton revealed the studio loved the character, Miles Morales, for a “very long time” and that Marvel’s Spider-Man creative director Bryan Intihar suggested years ago that Miles should be in the same universe as Peter Parker.

“As we continued with the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, we knew that Miles’s origin story as a Spider-Man was something that needed its own game. Miles’s multicultural background reflects a more modern, diverse world, and we wanted to give players a new story, with new set-pieces, fresh villains, and unique quests across Marvel’s New York City. This had to be a can’t-miss next adventure in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe.”

The game’s timeline and some of the plot was also revealed, placing it a year after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man.

“Let’s set the scene for the game a little more. It’s now wintertime, about a year after the events of the first game. Marvel’s New York is covered in snow, and just before Christmas break, a war between an energy corporation and a high-tech criminal army has broken out. Miles’s new home in Harlem is at the heart of the battle.”

Horton even touched on the size of the game, comparing it to Naughty Dog’s fantastic women-led Uncharted: The Lost Legacy “in terms of scope.” The team has been working hard on Miles Morale’s story since wrapping up the development of Marvel’s Spider-Man. Horton promises that fans can expect a full story arc when they press start and begin Mile’s journey.

The game will also show off the full power of the PS5. Players can look forward to instant loading, ray-tracing, 3D audio, and the DualSense controller. The character models in the PS4’s Marvel’s Spider-Man were already stunning, Horton details the characters will look even better thanks to “4D scans and improved skin shading for more realistic looking characters and spline-based hair that moves far more naturally.”

Last but certainly not least, Horton also revealed to fans worried about Peter Parker that he is okay and that his adventure will continue “still have much of Peter’s story left to tell.” Horton made sure to point out that this game is “all about Miles” and that his story is “a critical part of our Spider-Man universe, and you won’t want to miss what happens.”

HEARD YOU!

We can’t wait to play when the game drop along with the PS5 holiday 2020 or according to the Amazon leak in November.

HHW Gaming: ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ IS NOT An Expansion, Will Be A Standalone Game

'Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales' Will Be An Expansion On PS5

Source: Insomniac Games / PlayStation

Sony’s PS5 console might have been the crown jewel of last night’s reveal event, but our favorite Spider-Man, Miles Morales, stole the show.

Sony came out guns blazing or, in this case, web-shooters shooting opening up with the gameplay trailer for Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Fans were excited to see that hero from the film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is going to be a playable character in his own adventure and that the game will be available when PS5 launches Holiday 2020.

In the exceptional Marvel’s Spider-Man game, which swung on PS4 exclusively back in 2018, gamers got the chance to control Miles in a small part of the game. Unfortunately, he hasn’t become the hero we love yet, but he is currently under the tutelage of OG Spider-Man, Peter Parker.

We are already getting more information on the game. The news hit the web today (Jun.12) that it won’t be a standalone title but another expansion to the previously released Spider-Man game that will also be on PS5 but enhanced. Sony’s EVP head of European business stated in an interview with The Telegraph that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is indeed not a sequel but an add-on while revealing the original game has gotten some “major enhancements.”

“I guess you could call it an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game, “but also within the game as well, there have been major enhancements to the game and the game engine, obviously deploying some of the major PlayStation 5 technology and features.”

Bloomberg News video game reporter, Jason Schreier shut that down revealing that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is NOT an expansion but indeed a standalone game similar to Naughty Dog’s Uncharted Lost Legacy spinoff.

Schreier went onto add that Mile’s story “was always a smaller-scale standalone game,” and that Sony’s EVP’s comments were erroneous. There is no word if the PS4 version of the game will get the Mile Morales game, but we wouldn’t bet against that. Marvel’s Spider-Man sold exceptionally well on the PS4 and loved by gamers and critics. We expect it to do well again when the game drops on PS5 as well.

HHW Gaming: PS5 Confirmed Copped, Here Are The Games Coming To Sony’s New Console

PS5

Source: Sony / PlayStation

Sony took its sweet time, but our patience was definitely rewarded following today’s PS5 reveal event.

Now that was a presentation, and a much needed pick me up. Before showing off its crown jewel, the PS5, Sony said we got GAMES to show you, and they didn’t disappoint. The company showed off 26 games that we could all look forward to when PS5 finally arrives Holiday 2020.

Right out the gate, PlayStation wasn’t playing revealing that Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be swinging onto the PS5 when it launches, but instead of playing as Peter Parker, the story will continue with you taking control of young Miles Morales. We also got a glimpse at Resident Evil VIII: Village, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Horizon: Forbidden West, NBA 2K21, and more.

Once the games were out of the way, it was time to show everyone what they were waiting for. As expected, the sleek console definitely stays true to the white and blue hue the already revealed DualSense controller sported. The PS5 is, without a doubt, unlike anything we have seen before when it comes to a console. The PS5 is curved, features a white shell with a black inside segment to complement the look.

Unlike previous PlayStation releases, the PS5 will be released in two versions, a “regular” PS5 and a PS5 Digital Edition, which will not have a disc drive opting to forgo Blu-Ray discs for digital downloads only.

Sadly, we still don’t know how much it will cost, with many analysts predicting in the $499 price range. Twitter, for some reason, believes it will cost a hell of a lot more with some gamers jokingly saying they will either sell themselves for one or take part in other unspeakable actions to secure a PS5.

Sony has already announced that the PS5’s price will come at a later date. We will definitely keep you guys updated when that day comes until then, feast your eyes on all of the game trailers that were revealed during the live stream event below.

HHW Gaming: Sony’s PS5 Reveal Event Is Upon Us, Gamers Ready To Risk It All For The Console

The PS5 Reveal Event Is Upon, Gamers Are Ready To Risk It All

Source: Sony / PlayStation 5

Sony announced on Monday (Jun.8) that its PS5 reveal event is back on. Now that we’re just under 35 hours away from the epic moment, gamers are freaking out.

We get it, we are hyped as well. We have no idea what Sony is going to show during this PS5 games reveal event, but if the rumors pan out, it’s going to be amazing. Dead Space creator threw more fuel on the fire by announcing the big game he has been working on for 2 years will be shown during the event. We just hope it’s finally a new game in the ridiculously scary but oh so good franchise.

There is also a chance that we will FINALLY get to see what the PS5 console looks like…WE HOPE

Sony has already broken down the impressive specs the PS5 will have. Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has been raving about the possibilities calling it a “remarkably balanced device.” He also added:

“It has an immense amount of GPU power, but also multi-order bandwidth increase in storage management. That’s going to be absolutely critical. It’s one thing to render everything that can fit in memory.”

Sony has also introduced us to the new DualSense controller, which makes the DualShock 4 looks like child’s play.

Gamers, most importantly, have been salivating to see the “future of gaming” after being let down a couple of times by Sony.  On Twitter, they are once again hilariously tweeting the ridiculous lengths they are willing to go to for the console in anticipation of the PS5’s high price. Even ready to “sell themselves” as one user put it on Twitter.

We totally understand. Until tomorrow’s event, which goes down June 11 at 1:00pm Pacific time, 4:00pm eastern time indulge yourself in the hilarious reactions and predictions below. Be sure to follow us on Twitter as we will be live-tweeting the event as well.

HHW Gaming: Sony’s PS5 Games Reveal Event Has A New Date, Here Is When You Can Watch It

PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller

The gaming world pressed the pause button on many live stream events and online gaming out of respect to George Floyd and the protests taking place across the globe. Sony has announced it’s PS5 games reveal event is back on.

Mark your calendars, June 11 is the new date where we will witness the future of gaming. Sony made the announcement of the event’s new date and time on the PlayStation blog today (Jun.8). In the post, Sony’s Senior Director SIE Content Communication, Sid Shuman, thanks gamers for their patience but explains the company “needed to step aside so key voices could be heard during this historic and important time.”

Shuman also points out that the event will be pre-taped and will be broadcast at 1080p and 30 frames per second, a move that “eased the show’s production process” due to the fact many developers and Sony’s team members are working from home. Also, probably a heads up to those who will complain about how some of the PS5 games look during the presentation. He promises that games will look better once we play them personally on PS5 on a 4K television.

Besides the updated airdate, we also learned from Shuman that there will be “some cool audio work in the show” and that we should wear headphones to better appreciate the moment. Still, no word if we will actually see the PS5 console yet, so far we have seen the new DualSense controller as well the PS5’s impressive specs.

We hope to be pleasantly surprised on June 11, 1:00pm PST, as well as blown away by the PS5’s game lineup.

HHW Gaming: PlayStation Reads The Room Postpones PS5 Reveal Event, Stands In Solidarity With Black Protestors

The Video Game Communitiy Stands In Solidarity With #BlackLivesMatter

Source: Sony / PlayStation 5

There are much bigger issues in the world going on right now, and PlayStation has recognized that.

Out of respect for the civil unrest going on throughout the country as Black Americans have taken to the streets to demand justice for George Floyd and others, Sony has decided this week would not be a good time for its PS5 reveal event.

PlayStation announced today on its official Twitter account the decision stating:

“While we understand gamers worldwide are excited to see PS5 games, we do not feel that right now is a time for celebration, and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard.”

No future date has been revealed.

Four hours before that announcement, PlayStation stood in solidarity with the protesters by denouncing systemic racism and violence against the Black community.

“We denounce systemic racism and violence against the Black community. We will continue to work towards a future marked by empathy and inclusion and stand with our Black creators, players, employees, families, and friends. #BlackLivesMatter”

PlayStation wasn’t alone, EA Sports canceled an upcoming Madden 21 reveal event stating in a tweet:

“We stand with our African American/Black community of friends, players, colleagues, and partners. Our immediate attention is on actions we can take to drive change against the unjust treatment and systemic bias that is plaguing the nation and our world.”

“We’ll find another time to talk football with you. Because this is bigger than a game, bigger than sports, and needs all of us to stand together and commit to change.”

EA’s announcement was met with some criticism due to the fact the game did censor out Colin Kaepernick’s from a Big Sean verse in a YG song featured in Madden NFL 19.

The Last of Us Part II developers, Naughty Dog, also issued a statement standing in solidarity against racism and injustice and while stating #BlackLivesMatter.

It’s refreshing to know that the video game community understands that #BlackLivesMatter.

HHW Gaming: It’s Happening, Sony Confirms PlayStation 5 Event That Will Focus On Soley Games

Sony Announces PS5 Games Reveal Event Is Happening June 4

Source: Sony / PlayStation 5

It’s happening, it’s really happening. PlayStation has confirmed that the long-rumored PS5 June event will take place.

Next week Sony will be giving eager gamers a “look at the future of gaming,” the company announced on both Twitter and its official blog. President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan, gave PlayStation fans something to look forward to saying, “The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe.”

Ryan also pointed out in the statement that the games will come from studios “newer and older,” “larger and smaller,” and will “showcase the potential of the hardware.”

He further added that the lack of physical events due to COVID-19 gives his company an “amazing opportunity to think differently,” while also promising it will bring gamers “closer than ever before.” While there is no clear indication that we will get to see the PS5 console, he made sure to point out that the upcoming event “is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you.”

So it’s evident that Sony will be stretching this out till the PS5’s holiday 2020 release.

As to what games we can expect to see, speculations range from a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, Final Fantasy 7 Remake to confirmed titles like Godfall, Fortnite, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

We will just have to wait and see June 4 at 1:00 PDT. Be sure to check back with us for our recap and reactions to the PS5 games reveal event.

HHW Gaming: Job Listing Claimed PS5 Was Dropping In October, Sony Says Aht Aht

Sony Says PlayStation 5 Is Not Dropping In October

Source: SOPA Images / Getty

We can’t front, but the rollout for the PS5 has been extremely sloppy.

Sony already announced that its highly-anticipated console, PS5 was arriving on shelves this holiday. The video game world’s eyebrows were raised after they spotted a Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan job listing that claimed the PlayStation 5 was coming October 2020, a few months earlier than expected.

Today (May 12) one Twitter user, @Nibellion, shared a tweet featuring a photo of the listing and it states:

“PlayStation 5 scheduled to be released in October 2020.”

Typically, Sony has historically launched its consoles around November. Still, due to COVID-19, the supply chain for components for the PS5 has been disrupted, possibly leading to the console being limited at launch. Since the listing was shared, Sony has responded and threw water on the idea of the console launching in October, and it “was due to a mistake in the recruitment site, not the content that was written by our company.”

Add this to the growing list of bumps in the roads that Sony has experienced on the road to PS5. BUT there is some good news though, the company has announced PlayStation Studios. The new name will help gamers know that Sony’s first-party titles will come from one of its in-house development teams.
