NeNe Leakes' Husband, Gregg Leakes Passed Away at 66 Years Old

Gregg Leakes, known for appearing alongside his wife, actress, and tv personality NeNe Leakes through 12 seasons of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has passed away. Greg was 66 years old.

The death was confirmed by publicist and family friend Ernest Dukes who released an official statement.

“Today the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart. After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife Nene Leakes.

We ask that you pray for peace and strength over their family & allow them to mourn in private during this very very difficult time.”

PEOPLE states Gregg Leakes suffered from Colon Cancer. On Saturday, Leakes was at the Linnethia Lounge in Duluth, Georgia, and stated “my husband is transitioning to the other side.”

Gregg was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2018. In June, Gregg was hospitalized and recovering from surgery to combat cancer.

Kenya Moore appeared in a guest role 11th season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but returns for the show’s 12th season as a cast member. In a new interview, the former Miss USA shared details of a potentially explosive beef after claiming her co-star NeNe Leakes referred to her baby as a “buffalo.”

Moore sat down with Wendy Williams for a candid chat that ranged from Moore’s estranged husband and their attempts to hopefully reconcile, a bit Moore’s family past, and her beautiful baby girl, Brooklyn. Speaking of her daughter, Moore delved into Leakes’ alleged comments during the program.

Things got spicy around the 4:30-minute mark when Williams asked about the beef between the two. In her words, Moore says that she once believed she and Leakes were friends but that during her pregnancy, which she mentioned was high-risk, Leakers never checked in on her.

Further, Moore says Leakes ran into her when she was eight months pregnant, allegedly calling her a “monster” and that her child was a “buffalo” among other insults. Moore also noted with some slight shade that Williams claims Leakes as a friend.

The hot girl summer is clearly not over yet. Two media titans dropped their past issues for a fun time that included dancers and tequila.

As spotted on Page Six Wendy Williams and her former foe Nene Leakes have made up and they decided to paint the town red now that they are back on good terms. The two reportedly took their talents to FlashDancers; a pricey gentleman’s club in the Tribeca section of Manhattan. According to the report they originally linked at Rick Ross’ Port Of Miami 2 album release party earlier that night then made their way to the shake joint. Sources say Williams and Leakes partied the night away with shots of Don Julio 1942 and multiple female dancers.

This came to many as a surprise as the ladies have had their history of shading one another. In 2014 the New Jersey native expressed her disappointment in Nene “defacing” her $10,000 Hermès Birkin bag. As expected Leakes did not bite her tongue about Wendy telling reporters she should “be scared”. It is also rumored their rift turned so petty Williams allegedly asked Fox to pull the plug on Nene’s television deal.

The personalities shared photos from their time together on their respective social media feeds. Wendy’s caption made it clear the two are back friends. “Why is REAL life soo funny?! Renewed girls are the best time!” she wrote.

Season 11 of The Wendy Williams Show returns Monday, September 16.

Real Housewife of Atlanta Star Nene Leakes’ Husband Gregg Announces He is Cancer Free

One of the most heartbreaking story-lines of this season’s Real Housewife of Atlanta was Gregg and Nene Leakes battle with cancer. According to a post on Nene’s instagram, Gregg is cancer free.

Her post reads:

“Look at God! We are over joyed to say, we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg’s Pet Scan he took last week! Test show, wait for it….. WE ARE CANCER FREE!!! Yes God! Now i can go give Gregg a black eye since so many thinks he’s abused #fuckcancer #fuckopinions #cancersurvivor #pushthrucaretakers #lifeoftheleakes”

Nene received a lot of pushback for not treating Gregg the way that “fans” and “friends,” thought that she should. However anyone who has dealt with this dreaded disease understands, there is no cookie cutter way to support someone who is sick. It is an answered prayer for so many.

Fans Sign Petition To Get Red And Meth Back On Board With ‘How High 2’

Earlier this year, it was reported that a sequel to the 420-inspired classic flick How High would be in production, however, after several reports, it’s been confirmed that the stars of the original cult classic film are not slated to appear in part 2.

Even with the new co-stars such as RHOA‘s NeNe Leakes, DC Young Fly, Lil Yachty and Lil Baby, it’s still the fans’ longing to see and hear the antics of How High’s original stars, Redman and Method Man.

A petition has been started on Care2, calling for Red and Meth to re-join the new cast and continue the film’s production, which is slated for release in January 2019.

The petition calls for MTV and How High director Bruce Leddy to bring back the hilarious duo.

DC Young Fly, RHOA’s NeNe Leakes To Co-Star In ‘How High’ Sequel

Lil Yachty was the first surprise, but he’s not the only newcomer to co-star in the upcoming Meth and Red smoke-out sequel How High 2.

Outside of being the most sought after from the Real Housewives of Atlanta and scoring a role on Uncle Drew, NeNe Leakes has a new project she’s working on. The reality star has seemingly inked a role on MTV’s How High sequel because she posted pictures from the set with comedian DeRay Davis, rapper Lil Yachty and comedian DC Young Fly.

Instagram comedian/Wild ‘N Out performer DC Young Fly is said to be playing a stoner named Calvin who is playing Leakes’ nephew.

The follow up to the 2001 stoner film, featuring rappers Method Man and Red Man, is expected to premiere on MTV in 2019.
