Famed Detroit slang spitter Big Sean was the latest celeb to make an appearance on Architectural Digest‘s “Open Door” series, where notables allow the publication into their homes to show off their structural purchases.

Sean bought the seven-bedroom, 11,000 square foot Beverly Hills home from Guns N’Roses’ Slash four years ago for $8.7 million. The estate features a club, a 13-seat theatre, a limestone pool, spa and a recording studio, which Sean custom built to record some of his latest projects.

“My last few albums have been produced in-home…when I look out to the left, I can see the building of my very first apartment from when I moved out of my mom’s house in Detroit,” Sean said.

Twitter Thinks Drake’s Multi-Million Dollar Mansion Is Way Over The Top

Drake stunted on the whole world after letting us into his lavish mansion for the “Tootsie Slide” video, and it’s clear that it didn’t come cheap. And while Drizzy is certainly proud of his digs, some on Twitter felt like his set-up is over the top.

Architectural Digest profiled the space, which was designed by Canadian architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli. The magazine highlights features of the so-called “Drake Manor” or “The Embassy” which include a full-size basketball court, a bed that has a built-in whiskey and champagne bar, and a special close full of Birkin handbags that Drake plans to give his future spouse.

As stunning as the home is, there are some online that felt that Drake wasted money on what they felt were tacky trimmings such as a light fixture made with over 20,000 pieces of hand-cut Swarovski crystal pieces and other touches.

We’ve got the reactions of Twitter frying Drake’s luxurious digs below, along with some who enjoyed the layout. And in case you need a refresher, we’ve got the “Tootsie Slide” video below for viewing as well.

Mega recording artist Drake (@champagnepapi) returned to his hometown of Toronto to once again plant roots there, building a 50,000-square-foot ultra-luxe pleasure dome. The stately manor, as envisioned by Canadian designer @ferrisrafauli, is a marvel of old-world craftsmanship, constructed of limestone, bronze, exotic woods, and other noble materials. “Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel,” Drake says of his passion project. “It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong,” he adds. “It’s overwhelming high luxury,” says rapper Drake (@champagnepapi) of the Toronto home he has been crafting over the past six years alongside designer @ferrisrafauli. “That message is delivered through the size of the rooms and the materials and details of the floors and the ceilings. I wanted to make sure people can see the work I’ve put in over the years reflected from every vantage point.” Indeed, the scale of the rooms sets the tone for the home experience from the moment one enters the vast entry hall, above, which is clad in solid limestone with beveled inserts of Nero Marquina marble beneath a faceted ceiling of antique mirror framed in bronze, while two sculptures by @kaws flank the doorway. Blame Kendu: Mary J. Blige Sued For Allegedly Bailing On L.A. Rental Mansion

Array

Source: WENN / WENN

Mary J. Blige is finally free of that bum Kendu Isaacs, but ghosts of their time together continue to haunt the singer. A rental company in Los Angeles has launched a lawsuit against Blige and Isaacs, claiming they bailed on paying the lease on a mansion property and making off with audio and visual equipment.

The Blast reports:

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Golden Venus LLC. claims Blige and her ex-husband, Martin Isaacs, rented a Beverly Hills home beginning on May 1, 2015.

Golden Venus claims the lease called for the couple to pay $25,500 per month in rent and put down a $51,000 security deposit.

In April of 2016, Golden Venus says they agreed to a lease extension with the couple with the rent increasing to $27,000 per month. But on August 5, 2016, they claim Blige and Isaacs failed to pay their rent for August through November, so they served them with notice to pay up the $85,050 they owed or vacate in three days.

Eventually, the two sides came to a deal — Blige and Isaacs would pay Golden Venus $27,000 and allow them to keep the security deposit and they would call it even.

The outlet adds that Golden Venus never got the $27,000, and that it found thousands of dollars in damage inside the property including the missing equipment.

Golden Venus is seeking $58,211.13 with interest.
