Diddy AKA Sean Combs Seen On Video At Miami Executive Airport

US-ENTERTAINMNET-MUSIC-AWARD-MTV-PRESS ROOM

Diddy, known also as Sean Combs, had his homes in Los Angeles and Miami raided on Monday (March 25) in connection to a federal sex trafficking investigation. A video of Diddy surfaced online and showed the mogul simply walking around a Miami airport.

TMZ shared the footage of Diddy, 54, walking around Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport and was reportedly stopped by law enforcement officials.

According to an eyewitness, Diddy was waiting on other people who were part of his entourage who too were stopped by investigators although it isn’t known if anything came of it. The Department of Homeland Security officers appeared on the scene while the Bad Boy Records honcho was on a private jet.

Rumors online persisted that Combs was attempting to flee the country but considering that he isn’t under arrest, it does not appear that Diddy is on the run.

Thus far, four Jane Does, and one John Doe have been questioned by the Southern District of New York, who is said to be leading the criminal investigation.

This story is still developing and as new details emerge, we will update our reporting.

Nicki Minaj Gets Small Victory In Tracy Chapman Sample Battle

Nicki Minaj is still embroiled in the legal tussle with singer and songwriter Tracy Chapman, but her side can claim a small victory in the matter. The Queens rapper will not have to hand over private conversations between her and Funkmaster Flex to Chapman, who has accused Minaj of sampling her music without permission.

The Blast
reports:

In her [Chapman] motion, she claimed to learn new information during Minaj’s recent deposition. The court documents read, “Maraj’s deposition testimony made clear that she failed to produce many requested documents, including, but not limited to, (i) discoverable and responsive documents and correspondence maintained by her former manager, Gerald “Gee” Roberson (“Roberson”); and (ii) text messages with and a draft declaration sent to third-party Aston George Taylor, Jr. p/k/a Funkmaster Flex (“Taylor”).”

She added, “This is especially troubling and problematic given that Maraj’s correspondence with Taylor is crucial to determining whether Maraj violated Chapman’s copyright by distributing the Infringing Work to Taylor – a key element that goes directly to Chapman’s infringement claim, and the willfulness of Maraj’s wrongdoing.”

The judge decided Minaj does not have to turn over the messages at this point. The order read, “The Court also finds that Plaintiff has not shown a substantial need for the draft declarations. If a party may access information from other sources, substantial need is not shown.”

Chapman says her song “Baby Can I Hold You” was sampled for the song “Sorry,” an unreleased track that was set to appear on the Queen album.

Estate Of Michael Jackson Earn Win Over HBO In ‘Leaving Neverland’ Battle

The long back and forth between the estate of Michael Jackson and HBO over the explosive Leaving Neverland documentary has come to somewhat of an end. A judge has sided with the estate and will allow them to take the network to arbitration.

Variety
reports:

Judge George Wu issued a tentative ruling on Thursday in which he denied HBO’s motion to dismiss the estate’s case. Wu is expected to make the ruling final by the end of September.

The four-hour documentary features allegations of two men, James Safechuck and Wade Robson, who say they were sexually abused by Jackson over the course of several years when they were young children. The Jackson estate argues that by running the documentary, HBO violated a non-disparagement agreement from a 1992 concert film from Jackson’s “Dangerous” tour.

The estate blasted HBO for not including their rebuttal to the allegations in the film, and went to court seeking to compel a public arbitration of the contract dispute. HBO has said that the 26-year-old contract no longer applies.

HBO’s attorneys, led by Theodore Boutrous, had sought to throw out the case under California’s anti-SLAPP statute, which discourages frivolous litigation intended to chill speech on issues of public interest.

The outlet updated its report later to acknowledge that the judge’s ruling is indeed final but an appeal from HBO is expected so the fight will continue in some form.

Meek Mill Granted New Hearing with Pennsylvania Superior Court

Rapper Meek Mill addresses a rally outside the courthouse...

Meek Mill will have an opportunity to have a 2007 conviction overturned, this time without having to face his legal nemesis, Judge Genence Brinkley. In July, the Philadelphia rapper and his legal team will attempt to state their case that the original conviction gets vacated in front of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Mill, born Robert Rihmeek Williams, was granted an appellate court hearing for Tuesday, July 16 in the state’s high court in an afternoon session. With Mill no longer locking horns with Judge Brinkley, the hope for his side is that the evidence presented in the matter will be fairly heard and to note that the arresting officer, Reginald Graham, was not an innocent party during this whole ordeal.

In 2007, Graham, who is no longer with the Philadelphia Police Department, was connected to corruption chatter and for falsely testifying in other matters which also include Mill’s case. Graham stated in court that Mill pointed guns at police and was in possession of drugs, both claims that the rapper has vehemently denied. Another officer, Jerold Gibson, produced a sworn affidavit that confirmed Mill’s view of the arrest

Meek Mill’s lawyer, Jordan Siev offered a statement regarding the impending hearing.

“We’re looking forward to the oral argument before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and to, hopefully, having Meek’s conviction vacated. In light of the District Attorney’s recent filing, where he supports the granting of a new trial to Meek and the recusal of Judge Brinkley, we hope to have this injustice rectified once and for all,” Siev said.

Mill will be due in Pennsylvania Supreme Court on July 16, 2019 at 3:30 PM.

Ex-Fugees Star Pras Michel Caught In The Middle Of $21M Campaign Finance Fraud Case

Celebrity Sightings in Los Angeles - December 14, 2018

Source: SMXRF/Star Max / Getty

Former Fugees rapper Prakazrel “Pras” Michel finds himself in the middle of a $21 million campaign finance fraud case with international implications. According to the DOJ, Michel conspired with a Malaysian businessman regarding campaign contributions to former U.S. President Barack Obama

Bloomberg reports:

According to an indictment unsealed Friday in Washington, Low transferred $21.6 million to Pras Michel, a musician and film producer, who spread approximately $865,000 among 20 people. These straw donors, in turn, gave the cash to a presidential fundraising committee without indicating it had come from a foreign source. Michel also sent more than $1 million to an independent election committee, prosecutors said.

The charges, against both men, show a wide-ranging effort by the Malaysian financier to win influence in the U.S. In an indictment last year, Low and Michel weren’t charged but were identifiable as co-conspirators trying to influence the Trump administration as the Justice Department investigated the 1MDB scandal.

Legal representation for both men say that their client is innocent and welcome a trial to examine the DOJ’s findings in the case.

The ongoing legal beef between Cardi B and a celebrity blogger is about to get expensive. After the Invasion Of Privacy rapper initially filed a $1 million lawsuit against Tasha K for spreading alleged falsehoods, Tasha K is countersuing after claiming she’s been getting violent threats from fans of the rapper.

The Blast reports:

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, celebrity blogger Latasha K has filed suit against Cardi in federal court. The suit comes two months after Cardi sued her for defamation.

Latasha says she runs a YouTube channel with 500k followers and runs various other successful social media accounts for her celebrity blog.

She admits publishing a video with another blogger in which they talked about Cardi B. She claims Cardi then reached out to her privately and asked her to remove the video.

Latasha claims she offered to do an interview with Cardi to discuss her issues but Cardi declined.

In response, she claims, “Cardi B began to publicly defame Ms. Kebe, referring to her as ‘this blogger lady, by stating that Ms. Kebe makes up fake stories; harasses all of Cardi B’s friends; constantly stalks Cardi B; falsely claims that she has legitimate sources giving her information about Cardi B; uses Cardi B’s name for ‘click bait’; and many other false accusations.”

Interesting.

50 “Fofty” Cent & Randall Emmett’s Million-Dollar Beef Comes To An End

HerO: A Work In Progress With Omari Hardwick

Source: Mireya Acierto / Getty

Just when we thought we’d be getting a lot more hilarious memes from Young Fofty AKA 50 Cent, it appears his blistering beef with Randall Emmett is coming to an end. The Power producer apparently owed the artist born Curtis Jackson a cool million and paid it off according to Fif.

Page Six breaks it down:

He posted a screenshot of his conversation with Randell (Emmett’s name is misspelled in 50 Cent’s phone), which began the “Please fifty no more” memes. He then added that Emmett apologized, but called him “fofty” instead of his actual name. He shockingly alleged in the texts that Emmett “owed me a million dollar over 6 years [sic].” In the caption of another photo, he said that Emmett paid him $250,000 of the money.

The rapper even posted a photo that Emmett seemingly sent him of himself getting testing done at a hospital as their feud worsened. Bravo superfan Chrissy Teigen even got involved at that point, writing: “I never ever want 50 cent to be mad at me. Please love me, fifty.”

According to 50 Cent’s rep, Emmett eventually paid the rapper the amount he says he was owed on Monday, and it appears that their feud may be coming to an end as 50 Cent is starting to delete posts from the weekend.

“Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson AKA Fofty has confirmed that the 1 Million Dollars debt owed has been paid in full,” the rep told us.

The lesson here is don’t cross Fofty when it comes to his coins. Never.
