The ongoing legal beef between Cardi B and a celebrity blogger is about to get expensive. After the Invasion Of Privacy rapper initially filed a $1 million lawsuit against Tasha K for spreading alleged falsehoods, Tasha K is countersuing after claiming she’s been getting violent threats from fans of the rapper.

The Blast reports:

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, celebrity blogger Latasha K has filed suit against Cardi in federal court. The suit comes two months after Cardi sued her for defamation.

Latasha says she runs a YouTube channel with 500k followers and runs various other successful social media accounts for her celebrity blog.

She admits publishing a video with another blogger in which they talked about Cardi B. She claims Cardi then reached out to her privately and asked her to remove the video.

Latasha claims she offered to do an interview with Cardi to discuss her issues but Cardi declined.

In response, she claims, “Cardi B began to publicly defame Ms. Kebe, referring to her as ‘this blogger lady, by stating that Ms. Kebe makes up fake stories; harasses all of Cardi B’s friends; constantly stalks Cardi B; falsely claims that she has legitimate sources giving her information about Cardi B; uses Cardi B’s name for ‘click bait’; and many other false accusations.”

Interesting.

Cardi’s legal team or reps have yet to respond to this new filing.

Bill Cosby to Settle Defamation Lawsuit With 7 Women

Bill Cosby and seven other women who filed a defamation suit have agreed to settle, as per the Associated Press.

The women including Tamara Green, Therese Serignese, and Barbara Bowman, involved in the defamation suit claim the disgraced comedian called them liars when they made their sexual allegations public.

A settlement has finally been made but the Massachusetts judge who is supervising the defamation case still has to approve the settlement, and it will be confidential. The women’s attorney, Joseph Cammarata told AP on Friday that “each plaintiff is satisfied with the settlement.” He also said the women will try to depose if Cosby doesn’t drop his counterclaims that “accuse the women of harming his reputation through their accusations,” the AP writes.

The 81-year-old is facing three to ten years in Pennsylvania for a sexual assault case. He’s denied their defamation and sexual misconduct claims, and is also appealing his Pennsylvania conviction.

XXXTentacion’s Mother Files Defamation Lawsuit Against his Half Sister for Saying his Murder Was an Inside Job

XXXTentacion’s family are now wrapped up in a legal battle months after his passing.

The Daily Beast reports that the rapper’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, filed a defamation, libel, and slander lawsuit against his half sister, Ariana Onfroy. Bernard is requesting $15,000 in damages after Onfroy participated in an interview and suggested that her brother’s murder was an inside job, as per the complaint.

“They’re going to keep my nephew away from me,” Onfroy said during an interview with The Sun. “My unborn nephew, they’re going to continue to keep that legacy going, that hatred, that evil, that dysfunction, that chaos, that anger.”

Onfroy also alleges that Bernard banned her from visiting XXXTentacion’s grave site, although it’s open to the public. There’s no mention of that in the lawsuit, however, it does mention that Onfroy’s commentary “negligently and disgracefully convey to the readership that [Bernard] was at least partly responsible for the killing of her son.”

“It is with such sadness and remorse that the tragic end of [Bernard’s] son’s life had to be muddied with the disgraceful and hatred [sic] words of his sister towards his own mother,” Bernard’s lawyers Aaron Behar wrote in the legal document. “Given [Onfroy’s] horrific and emotionally disturbing accusations made purely out of spite, Plaintiff cannot simply ignore the damage the comments have caused not only to her reputation, but also to her financial and business endeavors as well.”

HipHopDX Drops $3 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against 50 Cent

World premiere of 'Power' Season 5 - Arrivals

Source: WENN.com / WENN

The legal battle between Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and news outlet HipHopDX has apparently come to an end. After Fif blasted the website for falsely reporting about the rapper’s deal with mixed martial arts prompting him to call the site a “fake news” hub, HHDX launched a $3 million defamation lawsuit that was eventually dropped.

The Blast reports:

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Cheri Media — the parent company of HipHopDX.com — dismissed their lawsuit against the “Power” star.

As The Blast first reported, the site accused 50 of tarnishing their reputation by branding them “fake news.” 50 was pissed that HipHopDX did a story saying his deal with Bellator was not real (turns out it was real) and when 50 Cent called them “a bogus news outlet that does not check its facts,” they sued.

Oddly enough, 50 is the one who actually collected a little money from this legal skirmish. He had sued the site for publishing a photo of his without permission. He eventually settled for $20,000.

In other news, 50 Cent is seriously trying to make himself a contender in the mixed martial arts space with Bellator after offering current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov to come and fight in the competing league for $2 million.
