A video from a Houston rapper has led to the arrest of 11 suspected gang members while another nine men remain at large. In a video from Maxo Kream featuring NFL Cartell Bo, one of the wanted men, police say that some of the firearms used by extras in the video were stolen and that some of the men had known gang ties.

Local outlet Click2Houston reports:

In March, two rappers, Emekwanem Biosah Jr, A.K.A. Maxo Kreme, and Warren Brown, A.K.A. NFL Cartell Bo, had a run-in with police while filming a rap video at Lakewood Park.

The rappers were filming at the park, which is next to Hillard Elementary School, at about the time school was being let out. Some students made it into the video.

Also in the video were about a dozen loaded guns, some of them stolen, according to police. The guns were being used as props and the extras holding the weapons were all documented street gang members and rappers, according to police.

When police arrived at the park, most of the people ran, leaving the weapons behind, according to police.

Police used Maxo Kreme’s video to track down the suspects, including Brown. Brown was released on bond and ordered to wear an ankle monitor that he deactivated and is currently on the run. One of the men in the video, rapper Kenyon Tennessee was killed last month outside a strip club along with another man.

Among those arrested, Maxo Kreme was not named in that grouping.

Paul Wall is probably the most thankful man in Hip-Hop right now. He narrowly survived a very dangerous crash in his hometown.

As HipHopDX reports earlier this week the Houston MC was en route to a performance with his entourage which also included his teenaged son. As they rode in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van to Austin a white truck crashed into their passenger side. Paul recounted the aftermath via a very detailed Instagram post.

“Both vehicles were completely totaled. We all had to climb out of the back of the sprinter because it had spunt around and bent in all the metal, broken glass. My son was sitting directly behind me with his seat belt on (back row passenger). The fact that we were all able to walk away in tact is a miracle” he explained.

In a follow up the “Sittin’ Sidewayz” rapper also admitted that while he and his crew did make it out okay he is now in serious agony. “Right now it’s difficult to walk. It’s actually difficult to move at all. I’m sore allover my body, and my head / neck hurts so much it’s difficult to talk and hold a conversation. The pain is excruciating, and I was only prescribed Tylenol 3 but I’m so happy.”

Let’s hope to a speedy recovery for all involved.

Hip-Hop has lost more rappers to gun violence. Two rising stars from The Lone Star State have been confirmed dead.

According to Click 2 Houston Ghost Magneto was found slain at a strip club parking lot in west Houston. According to reports he and his close friend Kenyon Tennessee were shot in a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan.

Patrons present at Club Onyx say that gunfire erupted around 4 am but could not tell exactly where the shots were coming from. A half hour later the two were found lifeless. Lt. Larry Crowson, who was on the scene, speculated the attack was indeed targeted and that two shooters killed them while they sat in the car.

His family believes that 24-year-old born Nicholas Esene might have fallen into the wrong crowd with his musical profession. They spoke about how badly he wanted to be successful. “He was excited about making his album and he had just (moved) into a house. He was so excited. He called me and said, ‘Ganny, you will have to come and see my place,’” Brenda Harris, Esene’s grandmother said.

The family of Tennessee, who went by the moniker of Kenny Lou, also commented on the assailant’s carelessness. “You jeopardize your life for killing someone else? Because when you get caught, you’ll have to do time. Your families will suffer as you’re behind bars. Two families will suffer. Their families and our families” Skylar Tennessee-Allen explained.

Luckily the club has surveillance cameras outside of the property and will share the footage with local police in hopes of landing an arrest. You can view their video to “NAWL FR” below.

OTB Fastlane – “Dawg Azz” (Video)

OTB Fastlane releases 3rd single produced by Icestar off his Metro Mart Baby LP which reached No.1 in Texas. “Dawg Azz” is an honest record which sees him embrace some of his more crafty ways and reflect on his grind to success and all of the struggles that come along with it.

Backed by Icestar production and Fastlane’s inimitable ad-libs (yeah, yeah yeahhh), the track culminates on a revved-up hook perfect to scorch the last months of fall and heat up all winter. Director, Michael Artis keeps the energy rightfully playful, as it rounds off the song well with a huge pool party, scantily clad summer bodies, drinks and food flowing vibes.

Fastlane explains the making of “Dawg Azz”:

“Dawg Azz was just ridiculous. We had to shoot very big for “Dawg Azz” and go back to my man Michael Artis. Great vibes and a big cameo with my sis Katt Sttakkz from 5th ward, an Icon. Katt does a lot of things for the city of Houston helping people coming up, plus she always keeps it real and uncut.

I wanted to make the whole vibe fun, because I know even when I dropped the song people immediately started sending me videos dancing, twerking and just having so much fun with it… So we put a lot of thought into it, so many people came out to support it, all love and big bussin’ out they bodies. I probably had about four or five hundred people that couldn’t get in.”

Fastlane reveals Metro Mart Baby LP, touching on themes of street life and personal growth through his raw honesty, Fastlane puts forth a dynamic project that showcases his most evolved work to date and it embodies Fastlane’s authentic self.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Alleged Mall Attack Victim Doesn’t Want him Prosecuted

Tekashi 6ix9ine has a far-fetched new supporter in his corner. The 16-year-old he reportedly choked out at a shopping center is currently screaming, #Free6ix9ine.

Tekashi’s attorney, Carl Moore, tells TMZ Santiago Albarran appeared for a meeting Thursday in Houston with respect to Tekashi’s assault case. He’s accused for putting his hands around the child’s neck in a fight at a nearby mall earlier this year.

Moore says Albarran appeared to the courthouse voluntarily, and basically tuned in without putting forth any expressions to the court. In any case, we’re told Albarran said one critical thing to Moore … he doesn’t need Tekashi arraigned.

Tekashi’s lawyer says Albarran let him know he made it clear to the prosecutors that he doesn’t want to press any charges. If that really happened, it seems like he’s holding no weight in the case because they’re moving forward with it.

One positive result from this is he made peace with 6ix9ine.

They allegedly approached each other in court, shook hands and posed for a picture. Looks like the Tekashi 6ix9ine makeover is in effect.
