FLEE Drops Deluxe Edition of Acclaimed Project ‘GHOST’

FLEE Drops Deluxe Edition of Acclaimed Project 'GHOST'

Fresh from his notable appearance on Brent Faiyaz’s surprise album, Larger Than Life, FLEE, the Queens, New York representative, unveils the deluxe edition of his acclaimed project, GHOST. This deluxe release features eight additional tracks, building on the success of the original 16-track project produced by Surf Gang’s Evil Giane, Snapz, MexikoDro, and NatCarlos.

GHOST (DELUXE EDITION) further solidifies FLEE’s impact on the rapidly growing underground rap scene. His distinctive flow harmonizes seamlessly with the lively production, a trademark of his frequent collaborator, established producer/artist Cash Cobain. The project highlights their unique sound that originated as a NYC secret but has now found its way into the mainstream, with Cobain securing a placement on Drake’s record-breaking album, “For All The Dogs.”

Notable tracks like “BUBBLE GREEN” and “LAST 4OUR” contribute to the expansion of the foundation laid by the original project. FLEE reaches new heights with the single “FTS,” complemented by a video featuring King Combs. FLEE’s infectious hooks and Instagram-caption-worthy lyrics further solidify his position as a key player in New York’s resurgence to reclaim the throne as the epicenter of hip-hop.

The Museum Of Graffiti To Exhibit ‘GHOST: Bits and Pieces’

Screen Shot 2022 04 20 at 5.35.50 AM

The Museum of Graffiti is pleased to announce Bits and Pieces, a solo exhibition of new works by GHOST, the New York graffiti artist. The exhibition opens on May 19, 2022 and will be on view through mid-July 2022.

Bits and Pieces is Ghost’s first solo show at the Museum of Graffiti. The new works are an explosion of colors and imagery that melt into his rounded his unique graffiti letterforms. Ghost’s work contains hundreds of elements from his fantastic imagination where viewers are transported into a psychedelic world where letters come to life. “One of the highest compliments I get is that people say they feel like they took acid without taking acid. I like to take people on a trip. The more they look into the art, the more they discover my world,” states Ghost. His paintings are like eye candy to the artist who unlike many of the graffiti artists working in the streets wants his work to be accessible to the public. He adds, “I want people to get drawn in. Layers and depth are important for me to create a situation where people can spend time with my pieces. People want to walk into them and get into the art. To me that’s what makes my painting successful – when people want to walk into it. I don’t intend to do this but it just happens that way. For the most part it has been accidental discoveries during the process of painting and challenging myself.”

The new paintings include works that are reminiscent of the 1980s when he was adorning New York City’s subway trains with his original and improvised style of graffiti lettering and characters. Ghost was one of the last kings of the New York City train graffiti era. Today, he approaches his paintings with the same zest and casual grace as he does his train work, with bold explosions of colors and wild cartoons.

Are You Kidding Me???? Angela is Back on ‘Power’… Sorta

When Courtney Kemp Agboj teased fans last year that Angela Valdez will be back for the final season of Power, fans of the hit show celebrated. She is a well-beloved character and few people wanted to see her leave the series. However after the first episode of the season, when Angela was gunned down so violently by Joseph Sikora’s character, Tommy, many felt duped by Kemp. Angela came back but for 5 minutes and then she was slumped.

With egg on our collective faces, we moved on mourning Lela Loren’s exit from the show.

But hold your horses and wipe yoke off your brow!

During last Sunday’s episode, fans were treated to her unexpected return… sorta.

Angela is back in Ghost’s life… as an actual ghost. He is haunted by the woman that he loves and she is guilting him into making some really dumb moves on episode 5. One thing is that she was egging him on to kill Tommy.

She goes, “You say you feel guilty for what happened to me. So why is Tommy still alive?”

That’s a good question. Answer: BECAUSE TOMMY ACTUALLY MAKES THE SHOW ANGELA!!!!

Angela Valdez Was Alive In The Premiere Episode of Season 6 of ‘Power’

So you felt duped, huh?

We all did. We saw Angela get popped during last year’s cliffhanging episode. We even got word from Courtney Kemp after the episode via Instagram that Ghost’s love was not “dead.” But when we tuned in for the opening 20 minutes of the hit show, we saw what seemed to be very different story. Angela looks dead as a door knob.

Peep what she said just last year:

Stop the debates. #tunein #season6 #powertv

A post shared by Courtney Kemp (@courtneyakemp) on

Well, here is the rub.

Courtney believes that she wasn’t leading her fans on when she made the posts. “I was honest with you.” She told TVLine.

She did that by carefully saying a few things that seemed to let her off the hook. One thing she said was… get this… “I can say Lela is in Season 6, but I can’t say what she’s doing.” And so she was… for a couple of minutes in the beginning of the season premiere.  We see Angela in the ambulance, and then we see her at the hospital. Ghost is there too. There is a fury of doctors around her then they wheel her into emergency surgery to remove the bullet that Tommy shot into from her chest. And then… no pun intended… she gives up the “ghost” and dies.

So there you have it… there will be no Kanan Starks moments.  She will not be coming back (except for a few flashbacks).

Now, let’s see if Ghost loses his mind because she is gone.
