Late rapper XXXTentacion‘s son is now trending all over the Internet. The hip-hop artist’s mom has shared the first looks at her grandson.

In late January, Cleopatra Bernard hopped on Instagram with a snapshot of XXX’s mini-me Gekyume Onfroy‘s feet.

The same week, Cleo and XXX’s girlfriend Jenesis Sanchez announced Gekyume’s birth.

“XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, and Jenesis Sanchez are thrilled to announce the arrival of baby boy Gekyume Onfroy — born January 26, 2019. We’re happy to confirm that Baby and Mother are healthy,” the family said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE, before sharing that the rapper had a hand in choosing his son’s name. “Gekyume’s name is derived from a word X created prior to his passing, which means ‘a different state’ or ‘next’ universe of thought. XXXTentacion specifically chose this name for his first born son; his family is honored to fulfill his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love,” the statement continued. (People)

Last year, Cleo talked about XXX learning of his girlfriend’s pregnancy prior to his June murder.

According to Bernard, XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, learned about his newly-conceived son before he was killed in June. “When Jah found out initially about the baby, he had two names already picked out,” she shared on her Instagram story in November. “He wanted a boy, he ended up having a boy, and that’s the name that he chose for his son. And so I decided to honor my son and give his only child the name that he chose.” (Newsweek)

Late Florida rapper XXXTENTACION‘s mom is giving fans a sneak peek at his newborn son. The hip-hop artist’s mom Cleopatra Bernard went to social media this week with a must-see pic.

On Monday, CB hopped on Instagram with a snapshot of XXX’s mini-me Gekyume Onfroy‘s feet.

Seven months ago, X had his life taken from him through gun violence.

The 20-year-old rising star, whose real name is Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was fatally shot in June in Florida in what authorities called a robbery attempt. XXXTentacion’s sophomore album debuted No. 1 on the Billboard charts last March. In December, a posthumous album also reached No. 1. (ABC 13)

XXXTentacion’s Mother Files Defamation Lawsuit Against his Half Sister for Saying his Murder Was an Inside Job

XXXTentacion’s family are now wrapped up in a legal battle months after his passing.

The Daily Beast reports that the rapper’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, filed a defamation, libel, and slander lawsuit against his half sister, Ariana Onfroy. Bernard is requesting $15,000 in damages after Onfroy participated in an interview and suggested that her brother’s murder was an inside job, as per the complaint.

“They’re going to keep my nephew away from me,” Onfroy said during an interview with The Sun. “My unborn nephew, they’re going to continue to keep that legacy going, that hatred, that evil, that dysfunction, that chaos, that anger.”

Onfroy also alleges that Bernard banned her from visiting XXXTentacion’s grave site, although it’s open to the public. There’s no mention of that in the lawsuit, however, it does mention that Onfroy’s commentary “negligently and disgracefully convey to the readership that [Bernard] was at least partly responsible for the killing of her son.”

“It is with such sadness and remorse that the tragic end of [Bernard’s] son’s life had to be muddied with the disgraceful and hatred [sic] words of his sister towards his own mother,” Bernard’s lawyers Aaron Behar wrote in the legal document. “Given [Onfroy’s] horrific and emotionally disturbing accusations made purely out of spite, Plaintiff cannot simply ignore the damage the comments have caused not only to her reputation, but also to her financial and business endeavors as well.”
