In case you have been under a rock, Jemele Hill and her long-time boyfriend are now husband and wife. Over the weekend, Hill and “Ol Boy,” Ian Wallace, made it official and jumped the broom. The ex-ESPN host now a staff writer at The Atlantic dropped an epic wedding video showing off her big day.

Hill couldn’t put into words how epic her wedding was that took place at Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California, so she decided a video could better explain things. With the help of @MyTouch_Weddings — who also filmed the couples spectacular engagement video — hopped behind the camera again to capture the Hill and Wallace’s wedding day.

Those who have been following Hill know she is big on Black pop culture, so it should come as no surprise that her wedding video opened up like the club scene from the cult classic film Belly. With Soul II Soul‘s classic tune “Back To Life” serving as the soundtrack, we see each of them get ready for their big day before witnessing the newly married couple get down with guests.

In the clip, we see Hill’s old His and Hers co-host, Michael Smtih, and friend Gabrielle Union and others dancing alongside the newlyweds. They also got Musiq Soulchild to perform his impressive lineup of wedding songs at the reception.

Speaking exclusively with our friends at Bossip, Hill revealed that the Detroit natives wanted to make sure their home state was well represented on their wedding day.

“We were very intentional with everything we did. We wanted to bring Detroit to LA. That’s why we had DJ Kutz, who is from Detroit, come in and turn this wedding into a Detroit-style party. We wanted to laugh, love, and for guests to have the time of their lives.”

Based on the video alone, Hill and Wallace were successful in accomplishing the goal they set for their wedding. Congrats to the beautiful couple.

Nicki Minaj is married, but we knew that already. Although the rapstress shared the news about her nuptials, details about the ceremony weren’t being revealed until now.

According to TMZ, kept things simple for their recent nuptials, Nicki made sure her pastor officiated the event. The outlet states that Pastor Lydia Woodson-Sloley from Brooklyn of the Life in Its Poetic Form Christian Ministries was asked to make her way to Los Angeles to wed the couple.

Pastor Lydia Woodson, who is noted as a poet, author, Christian life coach and music producer, has reportedly been a part of  Nicki’s faith walk for years. Nicki previously mentioned Pastor Lydia in 2015, during her 2015 MTV Video Music Awards appearance when she was on stage accepting the Best Hip-Hop Video win for “Anaconda”, before calling out Miley Cyrus over her rumored remarks about Minaj during an interview.

“You know who I want to thank tonight? My pastor Lydia. I love you so much,” Nicki said. “And now, back to this b*tch that had a lot to say about me in the press. Miley what’s good?”

Although it clear that Nicki is happy with her relationship, many fans are still giving Nicki’s new husband, Kenneth Petty, the side eye. After posting the news about her marriage on Instagram via a husband and wife ball cap and mugs, a few fans were upset reminding everyone of Petty’s past history of violence against women before shading the low brow announcement.

Although Nicki has addressed the concerns over her now husband’s checkered past, it didn’t help ease her fans pettiness when she debunked pregnancy rumors by posting via Instastory that although she’s legally married, she hasn’t received her ring.

“Ain’t pushin out his babies til he buy da [diamond emoji,]” Nicki Minaj wrote.

Miguel Weds Nazanin Mandi In Traditional Outdoor Ceremony [Photos]

Instagram Photo

Miguel and his longtime love Nazanin Mandi are officially married. Sharing their story with Vogue, the beautiful couple dished on how they met when they were 18 years old, the day Miguel proposed, and more.

As for how they got together in the first place:

“She and Miguel met back when they were both 18 years old. She was interviewing him for a behind-the-scenes DVD he was putting out to promote his very first music video. ‘I asked him a question that wasn’t on my Q&A, which was: ‘All the ladies want to know, do you have a girlfriend?’ And he smiled and said, ‘No, but I’m looking for one.’ We exchanged numbers, and he called me the next day to ask me out on a date…and ever since then, it’s been one hell of a ride,’” Vogue wrote.

When it came to putting a ring on it, the famous singer was slick with it. Nazanin was sick after drinking the water in D.R. and according to Miguel, “She just passed out; the sun is starting to come up. She’s completely knocked out…drool coming down her face. I was like, ‘Aw, poor thing.’” He continued, “So, you know, I kind of slide out stealthily. Grab the ring, get her hand, and delicately slide it on and then get back in bed until she wakes up. It takes her a minute to notice it and then she notices it.”

See some photos and clips from their big day below. Their friend Chris Dickens officiated the wedding, which took place over the weekend at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch outside of Los Angeles, and they had their first dance to “Always and Forever” by Heatwave. “New levels and unforgettable memories shared with our closest friends and family. So much love and gratitude for everyone that made our special day truly unforgettable. We love you all,” Miguel captioned one photo with his new wife. Congrats!
