It seems that this time of quarantine and social distancing has given Gucci Mane time to evaluate some of his industry beefs.

During an interview with Bank and DJ Scream for their podcast Big Facts, Gucci Mane addressed squashing the quiet beef he had with Future over the release logistics of their 2016 joint mixtape, Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition.

According to Gucci, he and Future fell out over the way the joint project was released after Gucci dropped the entire project for free without putting it on streaming the day after he was released from prison.

“He said, ‘goddamn, Gucci dropped the whole tape, that ain’t how shit goes, You gotta put it on Spotify, this, that and the third,’” Gucci said. “I had just did that with [Lil] Uzi [Vert] and Uzi was with it. So, in my mind, we just doing this. I’m just juicing. I’m just getting out. I ain’t even thinking that much into it. We ain’t talked ever. He said, ‘you did some bullsh*t’ and then we ain’t talked no more.”

Gucci states that during social distancing the two hitmakers have reconnected allowing him to apologize for creating the issue by releasing the project without consulting with him.

“I looked at it like, I needed to do to him what I would want someone to do to me,” Gucci said. “So I talked to him and set things straight because I f*cks with him and I was wrong for that.”

While COVID-19 is still very serious we need to recognize it is bringing people together. Drake and Joe Budden are one unlikely duo who have made amends during quarantine.

As spotted on Complex the two rappers put their differences aside on Sunday, April 5. The MC now turned media personality went on his Instagram Live. Surprisingly Drizzy made an appearance on his stream and the two showed that their riff was never that serious even though the exchange had some memorable ribbing.

Budden quickly pointed out why they have never come across each other. “You’re the only one that, like, avoids me for some strange reason” he pointed out to which Aubrey said “I just don’t see you. We’re never in the same place.” “Cause I’m too broke?,” Budden jokingly inquired. “I didn’t want to say it,” Drake humorously responded.

Joe went on to put his pride aside and shamelessly asked for an interview. Drake did seem open to the sit down by replying “when the album’s ready”. While there wasn’t any obvious shade in the response Joey called him out for being generic. “You’ve been saying that for a year, and now I have a whole leaked album with like 30 Drake joints.”

ATL Shawty: Rocko And Future Squash Their Beef [Video]

Atlanta was treated to a moment they never thought would happen. Two of the city’s top names have called a truce.

As spotted on Bossip, Rocko and Future have mended their once sour relationship. On Friday, September 20 the “Wicked” rapper treated his hometown to a very special set of his Legendary Nights Tour. He not only brought out 21 Savage and Lil Baby but he also invited his former mentor and business partner. Naturally the surprise appearance took the crowd by surprise as they not only hugged it out but proceeded to perform “Chosen One” together.

This peace treaty was highly unlikely as Rocko, who originally discovered Future, claimed he was not properly compensated when his former mentee signed his recording artist deal at Sony Music. In response to the allegations, Future said Rocko robbed him with an unfair contract. They would be at odds for almost five years. Thankfully the two have come to a common ground and are back to being friends.
