Suge Knight Signs Life Rights to Ray J

Suge Knight is trusting Ray J with his life story.

The former Death Row mogul has signed over his life rights to the R&B-turned-reality star, according to TMZ. Knight trusts that Ray J will make the right decisions with his story while making money for him and his family.

Knight and Ray J’s friendship dates back decades. He respects Ray J’s business acumen and ability to choose the right projects for film, TV, book publications, and more.

A documentary on Knight and Death Row is reportedly already in development, along with one on Tupac Shakur. There are also talks about bringing Death Row Records back with Ray J at the helm. However, it’s a longshot that would require additional investors.

50 Cent already wants in. After the TMZ story broke, the “Power” executive producer told Ray J to give him a call to talk business. “Call me I know what to do with this,” wrote 50. “Don’t nothing move but the money.”

This is the latest win for Ray J, who recently signed a $1 million deal to become the chief strategic media officer for a cannabis crowdfunding company. He’s also invested in the headphones and scooter industries.

Knight remains in prison for at least another decade. The 53-year-old was sentenced to 28 years in prison after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter last year. After getting credit for time served and with prison overcrowding, he could be released in a little more than 10 years.
