Roman Reigns To Appear On The This Week’s Monday Night Raw

It has been more than four months since Roman Reigns (real name Joe Anoa’i) announced on Monday Night Raw that he was taking a leave from WWE to focus on his battle with leukemia.

WWE announced Thursday that Reigns will appear on Monday’s episode of Raw in Atlanta to address his progress in fighting the illness.

Reigns shocked the world on Oct. 22 when he announced he was relinquishing the universal championship, and was stepping away from the company to focus on his health. It has been 11 years since he was first diagnosed with the disease.

Reigns has kept a relatively low profile since his diagnosis. He has been spotted on vacation in Hawaii, and also on the set of Hobbs and Shaw where he will star alongside his cousin, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

With Reign’s scheduled to give an update “smack dab” in the middle of WrestleMania season, many speculate that he is doing very well and could be set for a WrestleMania return.

It’s hard to imagine WWE scheduling its top star in such a tough spot, during its busiest season, to deliver sobering news that would take the air out of an already flat build to WrestleMania 35.
