Lil Wayne Concert Ends After Fan Screams “Shots Fired”

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne had some pretty concerned fans at last night’s A3C Festival show. New reports claim concertgoers ditched his performance after panic developed about a shooting going down during his set.

According to reports, the craziness went down Sunday (October 7) evening in Atlanta but there’s no evidence of real gunfire happening.

Wayne was onstage performing at the Georgia Freight Depot during the second day of the A3C Festival when someone claimed to have heard the shots. There was immediate panic as people ran to exit the area. Several people were trampled during the stampede. In all, about a dozen people suffered minor injuries. Cops say there was no evidence of shots fired. (TMZ)

Last week, Young Money president Mack Maine announced Wayne’s Tha Carter V is officially gold.

Recently, Chicago’s Chance The Rapper geeked out over Wayne’s new album.

“I’m about to have my own private listening session to C5. I just gotta say, man, thank-you Lil Wayne ’cause beyond the fact you got me my first ever number one record, first ever Grammy, you taught me so much sh*t from far away. I just want to say thank-you for dropping that sh*t. Thank-you for reclaiming your sh*t and man, I’m ready to hear that sh*t yo. I had to kick everyone out the d*mn studio so I could really take this sh*t in.”

To celebrate his new release, Weezy released a limited edition line of Carter V-inspired apparel.

Lil Wayne has announced the final collaborative merch item around his latest album Tha Carter V. Weezy has partnered with the Advisory Board Crystals brand and Wikipedia for a new long-sleeve shirt that features various screen-printed graphics in a “visual representation” of his Wikipedia page. (The collaboration isn’t apropos of nothing: In the announcement video for Tha Carter V, Wayne proclaimed, “Wiki me bish.”) Advisory Board Crystals is set to donate a portion of their profits to the Wikimedia Foundation.
