YG Reflects on Priceless Moments With Late Friend Nipsey Hussle

By: Amira Lawson

As 2019 came to and end, many reflected on the ups and downs of the past year. Although many positive things have impacted YG’s rap career, he still took to Instagram with a heartfelt tribute to reflect on the passing of his friend, the late Nipsey Hussle. Alongside a collage of photos of the two, YG captions the brotherly collage with the caption, “Success is a blessing & all but 2019 took my brother. I’ll give all this shit back & some to get my n***a back. I miss you foo. THE LEGEND.”

On YG’s Still Brazy album, released in 2016, the pair of brothers released their protest song, “F*ck Donald Trump” released to express their true feelings on the 2016 election. When the West Coast rappers were asked about the events that led up to their collab to create their popular smash, YG told sources, “It got to a point where Trump was disrespecting’, saying shit that makes no sense. Me and Nip always talk about doing real shit about these politics, stepping up and saying stuff other motherf*ers are not doing so we finally hit the studio and really did it.” .

Our love, prayers, and support
are sent out to YG, rest in peace to Neighborhood Nip!
