Vic Mensa Teams with Wolverine For Shoe Collaboration to Benefit Charity

Vic Mensa handed out shoes to his community but now will work with Wolverine to design a custom shoe that will be the first of its kind. The Chicago emcee met with the team and expressed his personal style to work on the approach for the design.

The SAVEMONEY emcee visited the Horween leather factor in Chicago to get materials and to have an immersive experience in creating the shoe.

The collaboration between Vic Mensa and Wolverine will create a 1000 Mile limited-edition sneaker for the forthcoming spring season. As customary with Vic, he is making sure the effort will benefit the community with a portion of his collaboration’s proceeds benefiting the work of his nonprofit organization SaveMoneySaveLife.

“Wolverine 1000 Mile is known for innovative and durable shoes with premium leathers and materials handcrafted in the USA,” said Andrew Shripka, VP of marketing for Wolverine. “We were drawn to Vic Mensa as a collaborator because of the relentless drive he exhibits through his music, style and activism, which align with the work ethic Wolverine has come to stand for. We are thrilled to partner with Vic and can’t wait to see his unique style and creative aesthetic infused into this Wolverine 1000 Mile collaboration.”
