Jay Rock’s “WIN” Becomes Most Popular TV Song For August

Jay Rock TDE Win Video

Top Dawg Entertainment’s Jay Rock is winning with his music. The hip-hop artist’s “WIN” single is reportedly the top TV song for the month of August.

According to reports, Jay’s infectious single received a huge boost in popularity from HBO’s “Ballers” series.

Jay Rock’s hit “WIN” rules The Hollywood Reporter’s Top TV Songs chart, powered by Tunefind and Shazam, for August, thanks to its appearance in Ballers’ season 4 opener on Aug. 12. Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending respective Shazam tags, as well as sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music during the corresponding period. Rock is aiming to put out an immediate Redemption album follow-up before 2019.

“I’ve been thinking about that every day,” he told Rap-Up. “I’m ready to get back in the studio now… Ever since the big reviews on Redemption, I’m ready to go back in and just come with another project right now before the year is up. Hopefully, man, y’all might get that.” (Rap-Up)

Jay also credited strong fan support for fueling his non-stop work grind.

“It’s just giving me more motivation and inspiration to keep doing what I do,” added Rock. “I’ve been doing it for a long time. For those who’ve been rocking with me since day one and for those that’s new that’s been rooting for me, I appreciate it. That’s what’s keeping me going. It’s just giving me the fire and the flames to keep pushing.” (Rap-Up)

Recently, the West Coast rapper released his cinematic-looking “ES Tales” video.

No One Nose: Twitter Thinks SZA Got Herself A Fresh Nose Piece

SZA has long been considered one of the more glamorous singers of her generation, and she definitely cemented that fact on the red carpet at this year’s Grammy Awards. Despite her good looks, fans on Twitter suspect that the TDE songstress had surgery to alter her nose and the speculation is rampant.

Since last month fans have thought SZA has gone under the knife to make changes to her face but the singer hasn’t confirmed anything.

But new photos of SZA at City of Hope “Songs Of Hope” gala, where she won the first-ever “She Is The Music” honor, has fans wondering aloud if something’s changed about her face. To be fair, some fans are saying it’s just an over-the-top makeup contour while others are convinced it’s a brand new beak.

ScHoolboy Q Announces Mac Miller’s Death Has Delayed New Album: “I’m Not Ready To Put Out Nothing”

schoolboy-q

Top Dawg Entertainment’s ScHoolboy Q isn’t rushing to put out a long-awaited Blank Face follow-up. The hip-hop heavyweight is indefinitely shelving the project in the wake of late rapper Mac Miller‘s shocking death.

New footage has emerged of Q telling a crowd of concertgoers he’s not mentally ready to put out his first studio effort since 2016.

“You know I drop albums every two years, right? But listen, with my n*gga gone right now, I just don’t feel right putting out an album. As y’all can tell, I’m not my real self right now. I shouldn’t even be here right now. But like I said, my n*gga Mac would not want me to be in the house sad. He would clown me for some weird sh*t. I’m here today because it’s no way he would allow me to sit in the house and be a little b*tch. I’m not gonna be a little b*tch. I’ma go back, and I’ma figure out when I’ma put this f*cking album out, because y’all are going to get this album. I promise that. I’m just not ready to walk into the radio station and the first thing they ask me is, ‘So Mac Miller.’ I’m not ready to deal with those questions. So, right now, I’m not ready to put nothing.”

In August, Groovy Tony made a big return to IG with his first post in months.
