U.S. House of Representatives Approve $2,000 Stimulus Check, Bill Moves to Senate

U.S. House of Representatives Approve $2,000 Stimulus Check, Bill Moves to Senate

Donald Trump finally signed the COVID-19 relief bill that will grant Americans $600 for pandemic relief, eight months after the first $1,200 stimulus checks were sent out.

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives increased the amount from $600 to $2,000 for qualified citizens. Now it’s up to the Republican-controlled Senate to approve the bill.

Trump has publicly stated that Americans needed a $2,000 check but amended the bill because it didn’t repeal Section 230, which is a 1996 law that provides legal immunity for content posted on the Internet.

At least we know legislators agreed to a $600 check which Americans can expect next month or February. “Following the strong bipartisan vote in the House, tomorrow I will move to pass the legislation in the Senate to quickly deliver Americans with $2,000 emergency checks,” Democratic Senate leader Chuck Schumer said. “Every Senate Democrat is for this much-needed increase in emergency financial relief, which can be approved tomorrow if no Republican blocks it — there is no good reason for Senate Republicans to stand in the way.”

Donald Trump Signs Off on $400 Unemployment Benefits, Payroll Tax Holiday, and Eviction Protection in Executive Order

Donald Trump Signs Off on $400 Unemployment Benefits, Payroll Tax Holiday, and Eviction Protection in Executive Order

Donald Trump previously announced that he was going to wait until Friday to take executive action for stimulus benefits. But he marches to the beat of his own drum and signed the order over the weekend.

“We will take care of pretty much this entire situation,” Trump declared at a press conference in Bedminster, NJ.

States will be allowed to allocate money from their coronavirus relief funds to add $400 to the federal unemployment extension. Additionally, a payroll tax holiday and eviction protections will be provided.

Trump blamed the delay on the executive order on his Democratic opponents. “Many of the far-left policies have nothing to do with what we have been working on so hard,” he said.

POTUS claims the Democrats weren’t concerned with unemployment or the coronavirus. Instead, they were fighting against voter suppression by requesting a ban in voter identification and pushing mandatory mail-in balloting and voter harvesting.

“They want to push this radical left policies,” Trump said. “This is Nancy Pelosi, Crazy Nancy and Chuck Schumer. I honestly think they don’t love our country.”

The eviction protections will “work with landlords and lenders to keep people safely in their homes,” Trump said. Trump said the executive order will be “directing the Department of Housing and Urban Development, HHS and CDC, to make sure renters and homeowners can stay in their homes.“

The payroll tax relief holiday will allow employees to defer payments and go to Americans earning less than $100,00 per year. “If I’m victorious November 3rd, I plan to forgive these taxes and make permanent cuts to the payroll tax and to make them more permanent,” Trump said.

The fourth executive orderis a “directive providing relief to student loan borrowers.” The policy will be extended through the end of the year. The fouth executive orderis a “directive providing relief to student loan borrowers.” The policy will be extended through the end of the year.

“So we’re going to be looking at income tax, we’re going to be looking at capital gains tax cuts, and maybe substantial. And we’ll be reporting back fairly shortly on that, it’s big news, big news but very important,” Trump added.

Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson Donates $1K Stimulus Checks to His Followers

Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson Donates $1K Stimulus Checks to His Followers

Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has built a reputation of using his social media platform to give back to those in need.

The former NFL star announced that he’ll be donating $240,000 worth of stimulus checks in July because President Donald Trump is “playing games” with the American people. “How the f**k are people suppose to stretch $1200 for 3 months?”

Chad added, “I’m giving out stimulus checks July 1st if you have cash app since Trump want to keep playing games.”

The former wide receiver’s word is bond because as promised, he instructed his followers to provide their contactless payment information on Wednesday, July 1st. “Good morning, i f**king love all of you f**kers & today is July 1st, drop ya cash app, zelle or PayPal, will be “randomly” choosing & blessing folks throughout the day until 5 & that’s on Jesus sandals.”

He sent at least $150,000 to random Twitter users and posted a screenshot of the error message he received from Cash App that notified him that he exceeded his weekly limit.

It’ll take one more day for Ochocinco to exceed the total relief fund amount, and his timing couldn’t be any more perfect.

San Juan Mayor Says Puerto Rico Citizens Didn’t Get Stimulus Check

Some people across the country have had the pleasure of getting their bank accounts stimulated, but citizens in Puerto Rico are still waiting for their money to be disbursed.

The mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Carmen Yulín Cruz, told MSNBC on Saturday the people in the United States territory are still waiting for the $1,200 they were promised.

“No one in Puerto Rico has received their $1,200 coronavirus stimulus checks from the federal government,” Mayor Yulín Cruz said. “We’re having problems with a local $500 check that the governor said was going to be distributed.”

Mayor Yulín Cruz added that many federal promises have been delayed. There are over 130,000 unemployment applications that have been neglected on top of the new food stamps requests that have been backlogged.

The island has a record of 1,300 cases, with 83 deaths. The outbreak caused the island to lockdown until May, which means they’re in need of federal assistance from the government.
