Solange’s Saint Heron and Parsons School of Design have partnered to celebrate the thesis and capstone work of the class of 2020. The creative agency, Saint Heron, teamed up with the academy school to do a virtual festival called Here and Now. They are taking the opportunity to search for new ways to deal with the virus while turning it around and experiencing it online while having Solange and friends in front of them.
Students will narrate their journeys through school and stories behind the projects they made. The festival will feature Metonymy, a 3D installation that is created in collaboration with Jacolby Satterwhite. The class will have over 300 students graduating.
Saint Heron states
“The Saint Heron team is honored to partner with The School of Fashion to celebrate and uplift the dedicated work of the graduating class of 2020 by presenting, Here and Now. We look forward to working with the students over the coming weeks and helping bring attention to their hard work and unique perspective. As the world confronts the challenges of our current global crisis, fashion and design communities must embrace new ways to pause, evolve, and adapt. These challenges open up opportunities to expand growth in our creativity and innovation — two expressions at the core of Saint Heron as well as Parsons’ students.”
R&B singer Solange isn’t letting the gossip blogs get the best of her. Instead, the popular Houston crooner has come forward to put a swift end to dating rumors centered on her and Chicago rapper Common.
Big Facts
This week, Solange’s camp reached out to SOHH to end the speculation. In the statement, her team shut down any romance buzz between her and the Grammy-winning rap veteran.
“Solange and Common are not seeing each other. Both artists attended the Lena Horne Prize event simply to honor Lena Horne’s Legacy.”

Earlier in the week, the Internet tried to force a Solange/Common romance brewing. A photoshopped picture of the pair surfaced across social media and prompted the rumors.
Solange and Common both dated the diet versions of each other then said fuck it let’s get the real thing.
Back in November 2019, Beyoncé‘s sister announced her split from longtime friend and husband Alan Ferguson. She went to social media to fully detail their close-knit bond and separation.
Beyoncé doesn’t play when it comes to her family and that is something Fabolous found out the hard way.
During his interview with The Breakfast Club, Fabolous recalled a time that Beyoncé approached him about a mixtape lyric comparing the Knowles sisters before ultimately dismissing Solange for Bey.
”It’s funny I used to just say whatever on record about people,” Fabolous said. “But you know who changed that—Beyoncé. She literally came up to me about a line on one of my mixtapes that I never thought in a million years that she would hear it. She walked up to me at an event and was like, ‘lemme holla at you’ and told me that the lyric hurt Solange’s feelings.”
Although Fab didn’t get too specific with the details, he stated that his conversation with Queen Bey led him to apologize to Solange for the line.
“The line wasn’t bad,” Fabolous continued. “It was like, ‘If you had a room full of Beyoncés why would you pick Solange’ or something like that, but I didn’t think about it like this could hurt someone’s feelings until Bey came up to me. So when I seen Solange she was real blunt with me like on some ‘what’s up?’ But I apologized to her and she basically told me the same thing that with my influence I really have the ability to hurt people and since then I have been conscious of what I say.”
In addition to sharing his run in with the tougher side of Beyoncé, Fabolous also discussed his childhood, his fashion sense and how he stays relevant.
”I mean for me, it’s about what I like,” Fab said. “I’m too old to be trying to keep up with trends.”
Fabolous has maintained relevancy throughout two decades, and his clever punchlines play a major part.
The Brooklyn native stopped by The Breakfast Club and DJ Envy asked if anyone ever took offense to one of his punchlines and “pressed” him, and you’d never guess who did. “You know who actually stopped me? Solange. It was some mixtape freestyle, and I said ‘if you could have Beyonce would you take Solange? Luckily she didn’t run down on me in an elevator.”
“The first person I saw was B,” he continues. “She was like ‘let me holla at you.’ I went over there and she was telling me they rock with me — I didn’t think when I was saying it, I didn’t connect like that. With Beyonce, I ain’t gonna share the exact conversation but she told me, these are people. Saying something like that could personally hurt her. I said ‘I did it, and when I see Solange that I’ll apologize to her. I ended up seeing her, years ago. I beelined to Solange to apologize. She was stiff. I was like ‘ey what’s up.’” He proceeds to mimick her nonchalant response. “I was like, I didn’t mean any malice but I apologize for it,” he continues. “She was like, cool.”
“It really woke me up,” Fabolous confesses. “Up until that point, I would say anything in a rap if it was catchy.”
As festival line-ups are rolling out, Governor’s Ball has announced their run with Missy Elliott, Tame Impala, Solange and more are set to perform this year. It will be held in New York City at Randall’s Island Park from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7. Both general and VIP tickets will go on sale today at 12 Eastern time.
Solange Knowles has kept a comparatively low profile in comparison to Beyoncé but has a large and supportive fan base, not unlike her older sister. The singer and creative figure took to Instagram to announce she has separated from her husband, Alan Ferguson.
In a moving Instagram post, the 33-year-old Solange shared that she and the 56-year-old music video direct were separating, just shy of their fifth wedding anniversary after tying the knot in 2014 in a lavish New Orleans setting.
From Instagram:
11 years ago i met a phenomenal man who changed every existence of my life. early this year we separated and parted ways, (and tho it ain’t nan no body business) i find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do. it is unfair to not have power of your own story as you shape and mold and rewrite it yourself. a n*gga ain’t perfect, but im leaning into the fear of the unknown and all the glory and power i know exist within god and the universes grace.
R&B singer Solange is playing with emotions on Father’s Day. The crooner has shared a jaw-dropping shot of herself – presumably – nude on her Instagram page looking nothing less than empowered.
