Meek Mill continues to do good work in the public eye.  This time, he took his efforts internationally as he was just in Poland.  Along with Patriots owner Robert Kraft and a host of others, the Championship rapper marched in to remember all lives affected by the Holocaust.  The march is a yearly event called the “March of the Living.”

The “March of the Living” is just under two miles as participants will march through the location of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.  It was the largest Nazi concentration camp in World War II.  Kraft has always fought against antisemitism as he led the march with the lighting of the torch.  Meek and Kraft have been good friends since he was put in prison back in 2018 by a biased judge.  They both are a part of the REFORM group that aims to improve probation, parole, and prison conditions.

Just recently, Meek was involved with a Kraft’s new campaign to prevent hate crimes against Jews.  Along with Tom Brady and Mike Tyson, the group raised $25 million.  It is not only to prevent hate crimes against Jewish people but to prevent hate crimes against people in general.

REFORM Alliance Tallies a Major Win in Reshaping California Probation System

REFORM Alliance Tallies a Major Win in Reshaping California Probation System

The REFORM Alliance has achieved its first major legislative accomplishment with the enactment of AB 1950, legislation that will significantly improve California’s probation system and help put hundreds of thousands of Californians on probation in positions to succeed and exit the criminal justice system once and for all.

This is the first major legislative victory for the REFORM Alliance, which is co-founded by Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, Robert Kraft, Clara Wu Tsai, Michael Novogratz, Dan Loeb, Robert Smith, Robert Kraft, and Laura Arnold and the CEO is Van Jones.

REFORM worked with Assemblywoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, the legislation’s primary sponsor, to push AB 1950 through this session. Jessica Jackson (REFORM’s Chief Advocacy Officer) and Erin Haney (REFORM’s National Policy Director) led the organization’s campaign to generate more than 3,500 emails from Californians to their legislators and to Governor Gavin Newsom, who formally signed the measure into law on September 30.

The new law will limit probation sentences to maximum of one year for misdemeanors and two years for felonies, which will reduce needless probation violations and make across state travel safer.

Currently, there are around 300,000 adults on probation in California leading to over $4,400 in taxpayer costs annually. The state spends $2 billion each year to incarcerate people for supervision violations – $235 million of which is spent on incarcerating people for victimless, technical violations like coming home late from work.

The reduction of probation terms from 3 years to 1 year for misdemeanors and 5 years to 2 years for felonies via AB 1950 could amount to $2.1 billion in reduced incarceration, probation, and judicial and operational costs over 5 years in California.

“This is exactly why we created REFORM – to change laws and create a smarter criminal justice system focused on rehabilitation and redemption all while keeping communities safe,” said REFORM co-chair Michael Rubin. “We’re grateful for Governor Newsom and Assemblywoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove’s commitment to making such meaningful change in California and we hope it sets a necessary precedent for state leaders across the country.”

“By signing AB 1950 into law, Governor Newsom has further cemented his legacy as a champion for justice, redemption, and opportunity,” said Van Jones, CEO of REFORM. “In a year that has been so challenging and difficult for so many, this reform marks a bright spot that will lead to better outcomes for individuals and families across California. I cannot thank the Governor enough for supporting this legislation. I look forward to working with him to make the measure even stronger and more meaningful in the coming year.”

“I want to thank Governor Newsom for his leadership in signing AB1950, the most transformative probation bill in this country to date,” said Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter in a statement. “This is a first step that I hope introduces a wave of much needed change through the country.”

Robert Kraft Uses Patriots Team Jet To Deliver 1.2 Million N95 Masks From China

Criminal Justice Reform Organization Launch

Source: Shareif Ziyadat / Getty

Robert Kraft is a billionaire using his means to help first responders during this Coronavirus Pandemic. Jay-Z’s homie and the owner of the New England Patriots used to the team’s jet to deliver 1.2 million much-need N95 masks from China to Massachusetts hospitals.

TMZ reports that Kraft got on the horn and negotiated with businessmen around the world to get the essential piece of PPE (personal protection equipment) used by healthcare workers when treating COVID-19 patients. There has been a dwindling supply of the mask in the United States as cases keep rising throughout the nation and in particularly hard-hit states like New York, Washington and Louisiana.

Once the deal was sealed, Kraft sent the team jet to Shenzhen, China to pick up the goods. Reportedly, once it landed it was only allowed three hours to load all the cargo. Kraft actually ordered 1.7 million masks but the plane was only able to fit 1.2 million, even after being upgraded for the essential cargo.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker took to Twitter to thanks Kraft for the charity. “No days off. Thanks to some serious teamwork, Massachusetts is set to receive over 1 million N95 masks for our front-line workers. Huge thanks to the Krafts and several dedicated partners for making this happen,” he tweeted along with a photo of the plane being loaded.

The plane is due to land at Boston Logan National Airport on Thursday (April 2) and then the MA National Guard will then transport the masks to a central stockpile in Marlborough.

JAY-Z Has Gotten The NFL To Commit $100 Million To Criminal Justice Reform

Last August, JAY-Z and Roc Nation partnered with the National Football League. The result of the agreement gave Jay and his company input into the annual Super Bowl Halftime Show and other music events surrounding the league. Additionally, it gave Jay and Roc Nation a stake in “Inspire Change,” a league initiative for economic and social advancement, police relations, community relations, and criminal justice reform. To these dedicated areas of improvement, the league set aside $100 million over the next 10 years. In recent years, the NFL had been under fire for the treatment of its players and some community relations. As a result of the partnership, Jay was publicly criticized for aligning with the league at the same time Colin Kaepernick (who reached an undisclosed settlement for a claim of NFL owners colluding against him one year ago) did not have a job. Jay, a previous public supporter of Kaepernick, came under fire. Former ESPN host-turned-Atlantic staff writer Jemele Hill penned an editorial, “JAY-Z Helped The NFL Banish Colin Kaepernick,” days after the partnership. Others with platforms also condemned one of Hip-Hop’s most beloved leaders, including accusing him of capitalizing on the rift between the NFL and oppressed people. JAY-Z & Yo Gotti Are Demanding Prison Reform. A New Video Shows Why Three months later, in mid-November, the league arranged a workout for Colin Kaepernick. Sources close to the situation credited Jay and Roc Nation in meeting the two parties. However, Kaepernick was not signed following the event. Tomorrow (February 2), marks Super Bowl Sunday. Amid the Kansas City Chiefs playing the San Francisco 49ers in Miami, Florida, a Roc Nation client, Shakira, will perform at halftime. Nike’s Stock Is At An All-Time High After Its Support Of Colin Kaepernick Less than 48 hours before the championship game, JAY-Z spoke to The New York Times’ Katherine Rosman in a profile of the situation, the origins of the partnership, and Roc Nation’s many social initiatives and company divisions. Jay also faced his criticism head-on. On the music partnership, Jay recalls being invited to perform at the Pepsi-sponsored halftime event. However, a request to play “Run This Town” included the suggestion that Jay would supply song collaborators Kanye West and Rihanna. As the conversation grew bitter, Jay declined the concert offer. JAY-Z & Roc Nation Took A Big Stand For The Boy Who Sat For The Pledge Of Allegiance In 2019, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft reached out to Jay on behalf of the league. To the Times, Jay recalls telling the mogul (and friend of Meek Mill), “The problem with the NFL is you all think Hip-Hop is still a fad when Hip-Hop has been the dominant music form around the world for 20 years.” Inroads were made. A meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell followed. In August, the partnership went public. In the months since, music curated by Roc Nation has been used by the league. This included Royce 5’9’s politically-charged “Black Savage,” featuring T.I., CyHi The Prynce, Sy Ari Da Kid, and White Gold, which played in ads and during broadcasts. In the article, Jay confronts his criticism in several places. He reminds them of his cause. “As long as real people are being hurt and marginalized and losing family members, then yes, I can take a couple rounds of negative press.” Team Roc, one of the companies divisions, has been working at fighting injustice on many levels. Last month, that included legal support and public awareness of Mississippi poor prison conditions that have allegedly been responsible for multiple fatalities. Jay and his team have challenged the bail bond industry by paying for the release of incarcerated fathers while condemning many of the criminal reform measures currently in place. Films have been produced surrounding the lives and deaths of Trayvon Martin and Kalief Browder. The arm has paid legal fees for various parties that they feel are being wrongfully oppressed. Colin Kaepernick Receives Amnesty International’s Highest Award (Video) Juan Perez, known through Jay lyrics as “O.G. Juan,” told the newspaper, “Somebody has to kick in the door and get shot first. We’re that company. We’re not afraid. We’ve been doing it our whole lives.” Perez is the president of Roc Nation Sports. JAY-Z says that money was never the objective of the partnership. He also responded specifically to Colin Kaepernick’s plight. “No one is saying [Colin Kaepernick] hasn’t been done wrong,” the 50-year-old Brooklyn, New Yorker said. “He was done wrong. I would understand if it was three months ago. But it was three years ago and someone needs to say, ‘What do we do now — because people are still dying?’” JAY-Z Provides Legal Assistance To A Family Terrorized By Phoenix Police Neither Colin Kaepernick nor his lawyers wished to be interviewed for the Times‘ story. Black people wrongfully dying at the hands of law enforcement is what led Kaepernick to take a knee during the National Anthem in the 2016 preseason. That act of protest continued throughout the year—and spawned others to follow. Based on the settled formal grievance, it is what kept Kaepernick off of all 32 NFL rosters in the years that have followed. As Colin Kaepernick and the NFL are at odds, JAY-Z is working with those same forces. He believes that while the relationship with the league is quite different, they seek the same results. “We are two adult men who disagree on the tactic but are marching for the same cause,” JAY-Z said.

Robert Kraft Might Face Felony Charges in Prostitution Case

By: Dylan Kemp

According to a new court filing, New England Patriots Owner, Robert Kraft, could be facing a felony charge, and up to five years in jail, in connection to his prostitution case. New court documents reveal that Prosecutors argue that Kraft may have committed a third-degree felony.

Kraft was arrested back in February and hit with two misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution at a Jupiter, Florida massage parlor. Kraft pleaded not guilty and issued an apology with a statement that stated: “I know I have hurt and disappointed my family, my close friends, my co-workers, our fans and many others who rightfully hold me to a higher standard.”

However, the chance that Kraft is formally charged with the felony is highly unlikely as the warrant has been thrown into question. In May, a judge threw out the evidence police gathered against Kraft, ruling that authorities did not have a lawful “sneak-and-peek” warrant at the massage parlor.

“The ‘sneak-and-peak’ warrant to investigate Robert Kraft was illegal because it didn’t indicate when the hidden cameras were supposed to stop recording.

Sports Illustrated legal analyst Michael McCann tweeted Saturday. “Prosecutors now want to charge Kraft with a felony. Good luck with that.”

Judge Throws Out Robert Kraft Massage Parlor Video Evidence

Source: Photo: WENN.com

Sorry kids but it looks like y’all won’t ever be getting the chance to see New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft‘s old wrinkly ding-a-ling getting worked by a young Asian “masseuse,” allegedly.

ESPN is reporting that after weeks of pleading with the courts to keep the video of him getting a supposed “happy ending” at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa from being used in the case against him, Kraft was thrown a bone by Judge Leonard Hanser when he ruled that Jupiter police will not be allowed to use the only and most damning piece of evidence they have during trial.

Why you ask? Well…

Rich. White. Privilege. That’s all we got.

But of course that’s not how it was worded in Judge Hanser’s ruling.

In his 10-page ruling, Judge Leonard Hanser wrote that Jupiter police detectives and the judge who issued the search warrant allowing the secret installation of cameras at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter did not do enough to minimize the invasion of privacy of other customers, some of whom received only legal massages.

Kraft’s attorneys are expected to file a motion to dismiss the case based on lack of evidence as soon as Tuesday. Prosecutors have the options of appealing the decision, dismissing the charges or going ahead to trial without the only evidence they’ve presented.

Well ain’t that about a b*tch. Only in Amerika can billionaire white men have video evidence of solicitation of a prostitute thrown out in a court of law while a broke white man millions of dollars in debt is the current President.

Looks like Robert Kraft made the right decision when he rejected a plea deal that would’ve resulted in charges being dropped if he pled guilty. Judging from the fact that he doesn’t want that video released or even used in the trial against him, it’s pretty obvious he is in fact guilty of the charges levied against him. But to quote the great Paul Mooney, he has “the complexion for protection” and the money to buy justice. So this shouldn’t surprise anyone.

We ain’t hating though. This is the same man that showed love to Meek Mill when he was going through the motions and is apparently cool with Jay-Z. But then again he is Donald Trump’s man too so we’re kind of on the fence with how all of this is playing out…

JAY-Z & Meek Mill Meet With Robert Kraft Amidst His Spa Case

Source: Photo: WENN.com

Robert Kraft continues to live a very charmed life. Even with his name in the middle of scandal he is keeping good company.

TMZ is reporting that the New England Patriots owner has is still shaking and moving out with some big names. Earlier this week the billionaire was seen chatting with both JAY-Z, Meek Mill and Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin. The four moguls met for REFORM Alliance; an organization whose goal is to bring more common sense to the United States criminal justice system. Led by CNN’s Van Jones, the group discussed reform, policy, advancing employment opportunities and more.

Rob’s attendance is especially interesting as he is currently fighting to keep video footage of him allegedly getting sexually serviced by a masseuse at the now infamous Orchids of Asia Spa in Florida. His legal team addressed the court in Palm Beach County stating “the requirements to curtail what can be captured must be scrutinized and high levels of responsibility must be met to avoid the intrusion on the activities of the innocent. These strict standards were simply not met in this case. There was no effort made to avoid capturing innocent activity behind the closed-door of a massage room. There is no other remedy but to suppress the evidence gathered.”

Kraft has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of soliciting prostitution. He is due at court in late May.

Robert Kraft To Reject Deal To Have Spa Prostitution Charge Dropped

33rd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony - Arrivals

Source: Ray Garbo/WENN.com / WENN

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft found himself the center of a potential scandal after he was seen on videotape soliciting sex from workers at a Florida spa. Kraft was offered a deal to have the charges dropped if he admitted guilt, which he intends to reject.

CNN reports:

Prosecutors have offered to drop misdemeanor charges against Kraft and 24 other men in exchange for fines, community service and an admission they would be found guilty should the case go to trial, according to Mike Edmonson, spokesman for the Palm Beach State Attorney’s Office.

Edmondson described the offer as standard for first-time offenders and said that none of the offers had been accepted as of Wednesday morning.

The 77-year-old Kraft was among more than 100 people linked last month to several central Florida day spas and massage parlors suspected of being used for prostitution and targeted by law enforcement during a monthslong investigation.

Kraft is due to appear in court on March 28.

Bad Bob: Robert Kraft Pleads Not Guilty In Day Spa Prostitution Case

17th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation

Source: Patricia Schlein/WENN.com / WENN

Robert Kraft made the news recently after facing heavy accusations that he solicited sexual services at a Florida day spa. The New England Patriots owner had pleaded not guilty in the still-developing case.

TMZ reports:

“The defendant Robert Kraft hereby pleads not guilty to all charges and requests a non-jury trial in the above-styled cause,” the court docs state.

As we previously reported, Kraft’s attorney accepted the summons from the court on Feb. 26 — and an arraignment was set for March 27 at 8:30 AM … the same day Kraft was expected to be at the NFL’s Annual League Meeting with other team owners in Phoenix, Arizona.

Kraft had already made a public statement denying he participated in any illegal activity — in response to allegations he solicited prostitution at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida.

According to reports, police focused on the spa due to allegations of a prostitution ring operating out of the facility. The outlet adds that officials have surveillance video of Kraft entering the spa twice in January and exchanging money for sex acts.
