The snack company, Partake Foods is getting financial aid from Rihanna, JAY-Z, and a few other influential celebrities.

The company closed a $4.8 million funding deal that will help with operations, product manufacturing, marketing, distribution, and more.

Other investors include former NBA player Kevin Johnson’s Black Capital, Seattle Seahawks’ Bobby Wagner, and Grammy Award-winning singer H.E.R.

JAY-Z Keeps Making Billionaire Moves + Invests In Black-Owned Vegan Cookie Company

Beyoncé JAY-Z

Music icon JAY-Z is out here proving it’s deeper than rap. The hip-hop billionaire has reportedly invested in a new vegan cookie startup.

According to reports, Young Hov is a central piece to black-owned company Partake Foods.

Jay-Z has clearly been busy. Not only did he join the billionaire’s club, but the venture capital (VC) fund he co-founded recently led the round for allergy-friendly food startup, Partake Foods. Partake Foods is a black-owned company that makes health-conscious food products. They recently closed a $1 million dollar round of seed funding. (Black Enterprise)

Partake Foods is expected to take its new $1 million investment to help grow the brand and get its products placed into more retail stores.

The company currently offers sprouted grain chocolate mini cookies, double chocolate chip mini cookies, sweet potato millet mini cookies, and carrot oat mini cookies. All products are dairy free, non-GMO, nut-free and soy-free. (VIBE)

JAY has previously invested his funds into food-based companies.

The investment is not the first time Hov has backed a plant-based company. He recently invested in Impossible Foods’ fifth equity funding round along with a slew of other celebrities. In total, the company, known for its meatless hamburger patty, raised a total of $300 million. (REVOLT TV)

As of late, various hip-hop entertainers including JAY’s former business partner Damon “Dame” Dash have made public pushes for vegan lifestyles.
