Q&A With Rising KC Based Hip Hop Artist Noble

For all the readers who don’t know who Noble, what part of KC are you from?

I’m from Wyandotte County same as Janelle Monae but I was raised in Johnson County, KS. Relocated to KCMO.

How long have you been making music?

I’ve been making music since I was 16 years old but I’ve only been taking it more seriously for the past 3 years.

How did you come up with the name Noble?

Actually, it’s funny, once my mom found out that I was serious about pursuing my music she sent me a list of like 50 different names to choose from and I chose Noble because it was the best fit for me as a person as well as the integrity of my music.

You are of a music collective, or a solo artist?

I’m a solo artist.

Congrats on your new album“Lyrical Love”. In a short answer, what kind of message you wants listeners to get from it?

To be concise the message I’d like my listeners to take from my album is one of persevering through Life and any pain they’ve experienced. I really want women to be appreciated more as well as loving themselves more. My desire is that my fans love themselves enough to let go of all negative energy or destructive habits that would reduce them to less than what they have the potential to become or at least don’t let things disrupt their peace of mind.

Who produced the album?

Jo Blaq produced 4 songs on the album, the other 6 songs were produced by a variety of different producers that I chose their beats because I felt like they best fit the lyrics that I had and I’ve been blessed with the ability to enhance beats that stick out with my songwriter skills.

What is your favorite song yet on album?

It’s extremely hard to just pick one favorite but if I had to select just 3 off of the album it would be Make this work, Let you Go, and Perseverance.

Any new music in the near future??

Yes I definitely have some new music in the works for the future. I’ve written 30 already. So this is just the beginning.

Your definition of “Underground Hip Hop”?

To me underground hip hop is characterized by conscious, positive, anti-commercial lyrics with beats and music that are usually provided by independent artists yet to be discovered.

Any shout outs?

Yes, I’d like to to give a shout-out to God first and foremost. To Grammy Nominated Producer Jo Blaq, who helped me bring Lyrical Love to life. To my Engineers at Unlabeled Music Studios, My Mom & Dad, My 2 big Brothers, my Aunt Vantish and Uncle Fred. To all of Kansas City, we the heart of America. Lastly, to all my fans & the people that are digging my music. Stay tuned for more.
