Brandy Joins T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods to Give Back in #CarolForACause Holiday Campaign

Brandy and a group of stellar artists have joined T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods to spread joy while giving back during the holiday season.

Through Instagram Reels, #CarolForACause will put a new twist on holiday carols. For each Reel from a Public Instagram account with the #CarolForACause hashtag, the trio of retailers will donate $10 to Feeding America, up to $1 million, to help feed people in need. Each submission will provide the equivalent of 100 meals.

“Partnering with T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods this holiday season is very important to me because it’s for a great cause,” Brandy said. “Being able to help someone have a better holiday is such a great feeling. This is my favorite time of the year. Spreading love while shopping and giving unexpected gifts. Calling people and showing them love on this beautiful holiday.”

Brandy will be joined by Meghan Trainor, Brandy, Ally Brooke, Sofia Reyes, Brett Eldredge, Andy Grammar, and Pentatonix

“We may not be able to carol from door-to-door this year, but we hope to help people tap into new ways to spread cheer and ignite the joy of giving back to their local communities year-round,” said Victoria Shonkoff, VP, Marketing Director for T.J.Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods. “By reimagining a classic holiday tradition for a good cause, we’ll help make celebrations possible for people in need this holiday season.”

The campaign will join a season for Brandy that is full of holiday traditions. “My favorite holiday traditions are decorating my home with beautiful decorations. Christmas is always held at my home. My mom cooks her best dishes on Christmas and my home always feels warm and smells like Christmas,” Brandy said.

Roc Nation and NFL Donate $400,000 to Chicago Organizations That Empower Youth

Ahead of their Inspire Change performance at Chicago’s Grant Park on Thursday, Meek Mill, Rapsody, Vic Mensa and Megan Trainor will visit local organizations in Chicago. The NFL and Roc Nation will donate $400,000 to the Better Boys Foundation Family Services and Crusher’s Club.

TMZ details the two organizations were picked by JAY-Z‘s Roc Nation. Meek and Megan will visit Crusher’s Club, whose mission is to help Chicago youth “restore their lives and improve their neighborhoods.” Mensa and Rapsody will head to the BBF Family Services, which has been around since the 1960s and aims to provide education, employment, and youth services while supporting 400 families through health programs.

The Chicago organizations will set the blueprint for how Roc Nation, the NFL, and the Players Coalition aim to Inspire Change across each NFL city.

Meek, Trainor, and Rapsody will perform at the NFL Kickoff Event in Chicago, which is the host for the start of the season with a battle between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers. The three artists will serve as the first Inspire Change advocates.

Along with the concert, the NFL announced a new apparel line, which along with the concert, are stated to provide proceeds to the overall Inspire Change movement.

Response to the concert and apparel announcement, along with the deal overall, has split social media with some advocating to see if the partnership led by JAY-Z will yield any positive results and others calling Hov a sell-out.
