Smoke Bulga Added to Rick Ross’ MMG Roster, Drops “Water Whip’N”

Smoke Bulga Added to Rick Ross' MMG Roster, Drops "Water Whip'N"

Rick Ross has added a new star to the Maybach Music Group empire and he goes by the name of Smoke Bulga. As a part of his welcome, Rozay joined Bulga on his new single “Water Whip’N.”

The new release from Smoke Bulga is produced by GGALMIGHTY and flips Black Rob’s classic “Whoa” into a new banger. In addition, the new release comes with a new Ryan Synder-directed video.

Boston native Smoke Bulga joins Ross’ MMG slotting him alongside talent like Meek Mill, Wale, and Gunplay.

“I’m honored to join the MMG family,” Bulga said. “It really feels like Draft Day because I’m teaming up with one of the best to ever do it in Rozay with one of the premier labels in hip-hop history. MMG has long represented excellence and I look forward to representing the new generation of MMG starting with this new ‘Water Whip’N’ release.”

Bulga previously appeared on MGG proteges Masspike Miles’ 2010 song “We Made It,” which was his first appearance with Rick Ross.

“Smoke Bulga has potential to be a star,” Ross said. “I’ve seen him put in the work from afar and all he needed is the right opportunity, so I’m excited to welcome the homie to the MMG family.”

You can hear the new release below.

Pusha T Comments On His “Maybach Music VI” Verse [Video]

The internet is still hype about Pusha T’s “Maybach Music VI” verse and for good reason. In a recent interview he gave more context about the viscous sixteen bars he laid for Ross.

As spotted on Complex the Virginia native spoke to Joe Budden during the latest edition of The Joe Budden Podcast. Jumpoff wasted no time in getting him to discuss the memorable feature. While the “Drug Dealers Anonymous” rapper didn’t confirm he was taking shots at Drake or Lil Wayne, his answers let us know that he is still about the “if the shoe fits” life.

When asked “why did you do that to this verse that’s not out?” he responded “that’s what we in it for man, we here to rap, bro”. “We all have to do what we do best, the next guy got to do what he does best,” he added. “At this stage of my career, you know, I mean… hey man, hey,” he chuckled.

On the track Push had several lines that could be interpreted as bait for Drizzy or TuneChi including “What a hell of a year, true colors expose/Crowns on these clowns, it’s like you colored they nose.” Ultimately Rick Ross decided to pull his appearance from the final version of Port Of Miami 2 citing that he would like to bring Pusha and Wayne together in a more genuine manner.

Pusha T’s Verse From “Maybach Music VI” Leaks Online [Listen]

Rick Ross’ new album is finally here but some Rap fans still have some questions. A key guest appearance didn’t make the final cut but the Internets remain undefeated.

As spotted on Hip Hop N More Rozay’s Port Of Miami II is reportedly missing one key feature. According to the article Pusha T was supposed to have a slot on “Maybach Music VI”. This is confirmed by an interview the Miami MC did with HOT97 where he said the Virginia lyricist was on the LP. Luckily his contribution has surfaced online and when we did the math the reasoning seems pretty obvious.

Produced by The Justice League, the album version features John Legend and Lil Wayne. While Push doesn’t seem to take any direct shots at Weezy there are some bars that made us go hmmm. “What a hell of a year, true colors exposed / crowns on these clowns, it’s like you colored their nose”. He continued “peers switch gears out of relevance or fear / when their names not as hot as who they wanna stand near / all you ni***s weird / how do you compare? / when you say you been rich but be needing sh*t like veneers”.

The tension between two started way back when Clipse felt that TuneChi got the credit they should received for popularizing BAPE Clothing. Some back and forth jabs were thrown but we never got a clear one on one diss song exchange.
