Just in time for the holiday season, Madame Tussauds New York has unveiled a stunning new wax figure of Mariah Carey, the legendary “Queen of Christmas” and top-selling female artist. The new figure’s debut comes as Carey kicks off her highly-anticipated Christmas Time Tour, making this moment even more magical for fans.
The figure captures Carey’s iconic holiday spirit with a glistening red sequined gown inspired by Marilyn Monroe, echoing her glamorous look from her Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Apple TV+ special. In a personal touch from Carey herself, the wax figure is framed by a giant wreath adorned with lights and life-sized nutcrackers featuring Jack Russell Terrier designs as a nod to Carey’s love for her canine companions.
Crafted over nine months, the figure was meticulously sculpted by 20 artists who worked to perfect every detail, from her signature curls to her radiant smile. “It’s surreal! The new Mariah Carey figure reigns in the “Seasons of New York City” area, a newly expanded section of Madame Tussauds celebrating NYC’s four seasons. This immersive area is part of a multimillion-dollar renovation, enhancing the museum’s interactive offerings.

Mariah Carey reveals she is back at work after the passing of both her mother, Patricia Carey, and sister, Alison Carey. The two died on the same day.
Speaking on Instagram, Carey said, “Back at work. It’s been a couple of rough weeks, but I appreciate everyone’s love and support so much and I can’t wait to see my fans in China & Brazil. Love you!

Mariah Carey is returning to Las Vegas. The iconic singer will debut The Celebration of Mimi residency at Dolby Live in Park MGM.
The show will run through April and celebrate The Emancipation of Mimi’s album, citing a statement, “The Las Vegas shows will feature fan favorites from that album as well as other hits from her unparalleled illustrious career.”

This is Carey’s third single to top the chart for atleast 14 weeks. In 1995-96, Carey held the top spot for 16 weeks with “One Sweet Day,” and her 2005 single “We Belong Together” ran the charts for 14 weeks.
